Oregon basketball vs. Liberty live score: March Madness prediction, where to watch
It's been a long wait for the Oregon Ducks and Liberty Flames, but their respective starts to the 2025 NCAA Tournament are almost here. In the final game of the first round, both the Ducks and Flames will look to keep their season alive and advance to the second round, played on Sunday in Seattle.
After a strong finish to the season, winning eight of their final nine games, Dana Altman and the Ducks enter this game as a favorite, according to the betting line and the tournament seed line. Led by dynamic big man Nate Bittle, Oregon's paint presence and strong defense should be fully displayed in a game where size could be the ultimate difference against Liberty.
Meanwhile, the Flames pose a serious threat, especially in March. They got hot near the end of the season and went on to win the Conference USA Championship, clinching an automatic bid into the tournament. Regarding potential upset bids, the Flames fit the billing as a team that could shoot their way into the second round. This past season, Liberty hit 39% of their 3-pointers, which ranks as the seventh-best mark in the nation. Should they get hot on Friday night against the Ducks, it could have some fans pointing to them as a Cinderella candidate in the tournament.
A game between No. 5 and No. 12 seeds in the tournament is always fun for fans, as it has produced many upsets over the years. This year, No. 12 Colorado State upset No. 5 Memphis, and No. 12 McNeese upset No. 5 Clemson. Oregon hopes to stop the recent trend and advance into the Round of 32.

Oregon vs. Liberty Predictions, Game Picks
Oregon 77, Liberty 65: So long as the Ducks are able to defend against Liberty's shooting, this is a game they should be able to win. While the Flames take and make as many 3-pointers as anyone in the country, if Oregon is able to spread their defense and contest shots, it will allow their size to take over the game. Offensively, the Ducks should be able to pound the paint in this game, feeding Nate Bittle and Brandon Angel inside and dominating on the offensive and defensive boards.

Veronica Beard Resort 2026 Collection
Following a collaboration with the NFL—and fresh off a trip to the French Open—the Veronica Beard brand is going all-in on sportswear. This season, Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard are upping the ante with their resort 2026 collection, dubbed 'Varsity Electric,' a sportswear-heavy offering that mingles with their house codes. 'Sport and fashion, I think, have never been more aligned,' Swanson Beard said. Miele Beard agreed: 'All the female athletes, the rise of the [New York] Liberty, coaches want to look amazing. There's a lot of powerful positions that these people dress for.' And, of course, let's not forget about the WAGs. Indeed, this season is filled with track-striped jeans and trousers with trompe l'oeil boxer waistbands, sleek sneakers, and reversible varsity jackets. But it's not all pep rally pieces: there is a sky blue suit that was practically made to be worn by a WNBA coach on game day, while a cropped anorak fashioned in a khaki tech fabric paired with a matching midi skirt offered a more GORP-y approach. (It's no surprise that Prada gets a few shout-outs from the Veronicas.) Where 'Varsity Electric' succeeds is in its cohesion with Veronica Beard's stalwart items. There is novelty denim aplenty, as well as rhinestones big and small. 'You don't have to wear your jewelry,' Swanson Beard said, gesturing to a gray cardigan with a bedazzled collar. 'You have your sweater.' This time, they've just added a little sporty spice into the mix.

Kenyon Sadiq, Isaiah World continue Oregon Ducks' NFL draft streak in new mock
Kenyon Sadiq, Isaiah World continue Oregon Ducks' NFL draft streak in new mock Over the past decade, the Oregon Ducks have been among the top teams in the nation when it comes to putting players into the NFL. For six straight seasons, Oregon has had at least one first-round pick in the NFL draft, dating back to Justin Herbert in 2020. This past year, the Ducks had a pair of players selected among the top 32 picks, with Derrick Harmon going to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Josh Conerly going to the Washington Commanders. So, will they be able to continue that impressive streak again a year from now? It's not hard to imagine the answer being yes. We've already looked at the top candidates to be a first-rounder in 2026, with players like Dillon Thieneman, Matayo Uiagalelei, and Makhi Hughes being among them. In their latest 2026 mock draft, CBS Sports targeted another pair of Ducks to get into the mix. At No. 21, it's tight end Kenyon Sadiq going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "A special teams standout, Sadiq is a versatile athlete who was used at QB on four extra points in '24; twice threw TDs on rollout plays (and he's also run fake punts from the upback position). As a TE, he runs extremely well, will run through arm tackles and is used all over the formation. He can be a quick-game target as an outside WR and was also used effectively on jet sweeps. He reminds me of Kadarius Toney in the quick game and Anquan Boldin in space with the ball in his hands." Not long after Sadiq comes off of the board, it's transfer OT Isaiah World who goes at pick No. 24 to the Cincinnati Bengals. "World might play with the best balance of any offensive tackle in recent memory; he's not the athlete Josh Conerly Jr. was coming into the draft, but he's athletic enough. In terms of summer draft grades, I have him in the same range as Kelvin Banks Jr. heading into his '24 season." We will see if both players can live up to the hype in 2025, but if they do, the Ducks should be in a pretty good position to compete for a College Football Playoff spot once again.
