BGT hit with Ofcom complaints over semi-finalist's 'horrifying' act
Britain's Got Talent aired live from London once again this weekend for the third semi-final of the series. The first semi-final was hit with a number of Ofcom complaints following sword swallower Auzzy Blood, and this week, it was yet another 'horrifying' act that received complaints.
Ofcom has revealed Saturday night's show received 65 complaints, confirming the majority of them related to danger act Bao Cuong's routine.
The show, which broadcast on May 10, saw dance act Ping Pong Pan and drag queen opera singer Jasmine Rice secure their place in the final, with Bao coming in seventh place.
Judges and viewers were left stunned during the star's performance, as Amanda said it was "horrific to watch".

He continued: 'After 48 years, it is great that this prestigious global event is about to arrive in the UK capital of music and culture. 'Greater Manchester has an unparalleled music heritage known around the world, and this summer will play host to some of the biggest gigs on the planet.' The Co-op Live arena was opened last year — with some teething issues — but has quickly become a major gig location for the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Robbie Williams, and Pulp. Of course, Manchester's Heaton Park will see one of the biggest shows of 2025 as Oasis reunite for the first time in 16 years in their hometown. 'That was only made possible by our strong commitment to new talent and giving emerging artists the opportunities to make their name,' the mayor added. 'We thank our friends at the BPI for choosing Manchester and we will pull out all the stops to show they made the right decision. 'Celebrating the Brit Awards right here in the home of 24 hour party people is the next chapter in its story and you can be sure that we will help them do it in style.' The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) is the trade body for the UK's music industry. The move isn't the only shake up for the biggest night in British music as the Brit Awards 2026 will be the first of three years under the stewardship of Sony Music UK. Jason Iley, chairman and chief executive of Sony Music UK & Ireland said: 'This is a very exciting time for The Brit Awards. 'Moving to Manchester, the home of some of the most iconic and defining artists of our lifetime, will invigorate the show and build on the Brits' legacy of celebrating and reinvesting in world-class music. 'Hosting the show in Manchester, with its vibrant cultural history, perfectly captures the spirit and energy of the Brit Awards. I can't wait to see the show at the amazing state-of-the art Co-op Live venue.' The 2026 ceremony on Saturday February 28 will be broadcast exclusively on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player. Mastercard will continue its long-standing headline sponsorship, now in its 28th year. Charli XCX was the stand-out star at this year's Brit Awards at London's O2 Arena, taking home five awards including album of the year for her sixth studio release, Brat. More Trending US pop star Sabrina Carpenter was the recipient of the global success award, while former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall collected the best pop act award. US pop star Chappell Roan won international song of the year for Good Luck, Babe! Co-op Live is currently Britain's biggest indoor arena and opened in May 2024 after several delays. Post Office choir founder says 'therapuetic' BGT stint was 'life changing'
Mark Wildblood, the founder of Hear Our Voice - the choir made up of people impacted by the Post Office scandal - says the initiative has been 'therapeutic' after a battle with depression. Hear Our Voice, the choir made up of people affected by the Post Office scandal which placed seventh in the recent series of Britain's Got Talent, are releasing a new charity single alongside band Will & The People. The single, Falling Down, is a rendition of the song they performed in their audition for Britain's Got Talent. And choir founder Mark Wildblood says the initiative has been 'life changing' for him, admitting the talent show stint has made a significant impact on his mental health. 'I personally have found it very therapeutic,' said Mark. 'I was on antidepressants prescribed by my doctor for a long long time and I spoke to them very early this year and I said, 'Look [the choir] is really starting to make me feel good and I wouldn't mind trying to go without [the antidepressants]. "So, at the recommendation of doctors I was told it's ok to give it a go and I haven't been back on them since,' he says of the choir's impact. Continuing that it has given him 'purpose' following dark days, Mark shared, 'It's not difficult to get caught up in dwelling on all of the negatives. So, to be surrounded by the same people that you talk to about it every day and that are seeing the positives as well, I think we've done a really really positive thing and a lot of that is thanks to BGT.' While Mark says the choir has meant he's managed to let go of 'anger' he was holding onto against the post office, he confirms that the 'concern' remains. 'My concern for the procedure is not eliminated. We still have to make sure that we get closure and closure can only come with compensation.' Mark was a sub-postmaster at Upton Post Office before he was suspended from the role as one of the thousands of people impacted by the Post Office scandal. The scandal saw the wrongful prosecution of sub-postmasters and postmistresses by the Post Office, who accused them of theft, fraud, and false accounting due to faulty data from the Horizon IT system used by the company. He founded the choir in May 2024, inviting others impacted by the scandal to take part and raise money for the cause, alongside awareness. As the former tour manager for Will and the People, Mark then enlisted lead singer Will Rendle to get involved as he fronted the act on Britain's Got Talent. And detailing how the choir has become a family dynamic, Mark said, 'W e always say to each other that we have become family now. The choir is spread out throughout the country and so BGT has given us the opportunity to actually meet five times in a very short space of time and be together.' Many of the victims are still awaiting compensation from the Post Office, with Mark admitting that despite the success of their campaigning and the recent TV series; Mr Bates vs The Post Office, there's still a long way to go. It comes as Simon Recaldin, a Post Office boss who has been backing compensation for the scandal victims, has left his position in the company. Simon is thought to have opted for voluntary redundancy, a move which comes amid the increased pressure on the company to pay victims. Previously, the government announced that those who have had convictions overturned are eligible for £600,000, with hundreds still waiting for the compensation. 'Scandals like these have a commonality where the bureaucracy of closure takes so long that many people pass away by the time that the situations are resolved - I just hope that we don't get into that situation,' says Mark of those yet to be paid. 'We've already lost a lot of people in the Post Office scandal and we can't afford to lose more without getting a speed up, so I would say to those in power, please change the system. It'll be better for everyone all round and cost a lot less money if they just do it now as it should be,' pleaded Mark. With fellow choir member Maria Lockwood joking that the unit would be keen to front the Glastonbury stage this summer, Mark says he isn't opposed to the idea. "We wouldn't say no to anything where we had the opportunity to get together in person again and Glastonbury would be amazing, that would be phenomenal." Falling Down, the single by Hear Our Voice choir and Will and The People, is available on all platforms from tomorrow, 10 June. 100% of profits after costs from the single are going to the Horizon Scandal Fund and Lost Chances—two organisations supporting victims and their families.

Amanda Holden, 54, sends fans wild with her latest bikini pics
Amanda Holden sent fans wild as she stripped down to a tiny pink bikini in her latest social media video. The 54-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge donned matching pink heels to strut around a swimming pool on the Spanish holiday island of Majorca. Looking more like she was walking down a catwalk, the age-defying broadcaster and actress looked tanned and toned as her long blonde hair billowed behind her in the short clip, as Calvin Harris' latest track Blessings played over the top. In the caption, Amanda revealed she was in Majorca to film an ad campaign for Revive Collagen. She wrote: "Shooting a new campaign for @revivecollagen #mallorca," before revealing her bikini was by swimwear brand Melissa Odabash, which is loved by celebrities. And fans couldn't quite believe what they were seeing, as one wrote in the comments: "Imagine being in your 50's and looking that good in a bikini," as another replied: "Right?" As many more posted heart and flame emojis, a third said: "Looking fabulous!!!" A fourth declared her "perfection", as a fifth commented "what a body." A sixth joked: "Look amazing, wish I could walk in those shoes!" Her celebrity pals were equally in awe. Ex-EastEnders' star Jo Joyner wrote: "You're ridiculously hot" followed by a flame emoji. "There she is," said former The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers. Vicky Pattinson simply wrote: "AMANDA!!!!" with four flame emojis. While her Heart FM co-star, former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts commented: "Jheeez." It comes days after Amanda went 'naked' during her radio show following yet more Ofcom complaints about her outfits on Britain's Got Talent. Her appearance even made her co-host Jamie Theakston do a double take. As she sat in her DJ chair on Thursday morning, Amanda said on air: "Good morning, Mr Theakston. It is 6.30am and I've just caught myself on the camera and don't you think I look naked this morning? Sat behind here?" Jamie replied: "Do you know what... you are wearing clothes, aren't you?" But though it looked like she might not be, Amanda was in fact just wearing a pink strapless dress which wasn't visible behind her monitor. Joking about her choice of outfit for the day, Amanda said: "I just looked [at myself] and went, 'What? Have I forgotten to put my clothes on?'" Amanda's BGT finale dress, which looked almost bridal in a white silk fabric with a low cut front, wasn't a hit with some viewers at home who complained that both her and co-star Alesha Dixon's frocks were "too revealing for a family show". Ofcom revealed they'd received 72 complaints in total. But thought she is regularly under fire for her risque outfits, Amanda has vowed to never tone down her fashion choices. In July 2017, Amanda wore a plunging see-through Julien Macdonald dress, which went on to be the most complained about TV moment of the year. She's previously revealed how all her outfits are checked before she goes on stage and joked there's an even a 't*t committee' who tell her whether she's alright to wear a dress or not. "There's a whole body of people that knock on my door and come and stare at my chest before we go on air," she shared. "There's a t*t committee. There are so many brilliant people, they come down, knock on the door and there's the lady, who's the producer, who says, 'Mandy, it looks great'." In another interview, Amanda told Closer magazine: "I'm always asked about the Ofcom complaints, but every outfit on the show is checked before I leave my dressing room, so I'm never worried. I think people should have fun with fashion!" On her most complained about dress, she added: "It's all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about. It's been called another national crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up."
