Four-star combo guard shares visit with Colorado

Yahoo22-02-2025

Class of 2026 four-star combo guard Tobias Brinkley shared via social media Saturday that he visited with the Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball program.
Listed at 6-foot-6 and 180 pounds, Brinkley attends St. Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta, Georgia. The southpaw missed his junior season after suffering an ACL tear last summer but expects to return this spring for AAU basketball.
ESPN tabs Brinkley as a top-50 small forward in his class (though most other recruiting sites list him as a combo guard) and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Georgia.
Last year, Blake Smith of Recruits Zone reported that in addition to the Buffaloes, the Auburn Tigers, Memphis Tigers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are among those who've reached out to Brinkley. He also holds offers from the Cincinnati Bearcats and UTSA Roadrunners.
This weekend's visit to Boulder may indicate an offer from CU to Brinkley is imminent:

Patriots OC makes admission on Stefon Diggs as star WR returns to practice

Patriots OC makes admission on Stefon Diggs as star WR returns to practice New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is not at all concerned with wide receiver Stefon Diggs' knowledge of the playbook. So much has been made about Diggs not appearing at OTAs, but it's also important to keep in mind that what the Patriots are doing right now is voluntary work. McDaniels prefers that all of the players participate, as any coach would, but he's also understanding that it isn't mandatory. Diggs appeared at open OTAs on Monday. He has been rehabbing from the torn ACL injury he suffered with the Houston Texans last season and looks to be a key figure in the Patriots' wide receivers room. "I know he's staying up on the information and the material," McDaniels said on Diggs. "There's so many things and opportunities for us to teach all of our guys going forward, between the rest of the practices here in the spring and then going into the summer and the many days we have before we actually kick the ball off in September. I'm not concerned about Stef in that regard." It's hard to question Diggs' work ethic. He looks to be in great shape after suffering the knee injury last October. His appearance on Monday is also a good sign that he's on track to return. He's clearly doing the work behind the scenes to ensure that his run with the Patriots isn't a flop. He also proved to be a dual-threat back, as he recorded 14 receptions for 42 yards. Currently, the 2027 Huskers recruiting class features only quarterback Trae Taylor. However, Bala could be a solid addition. He measures in at six feet, 210 pounds, and appears to be on the rise both in terms of talent and growth. It will be interesting to see how much his recruitment expands over the next couple of years. Steelers bringing in FA wide receiver Gabe Davis for visit

Steelers bringing in FA wide receiver Gabe Davis for visit Just after the 2025 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys. Now, the Steelers might finally be taking his replacement seriously. According to ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, the Steelers are bringing in free-agent wide receiver Gabe Davis for a visit on Thursday. Davis' career was on the rise after four seasons with the Buffalo Bills and he parlayed that into a huge free-agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. But it was clear from the beginning that Davis wasn't a great fit with the Jags and saw a big dip in production. Jacksonville decided to move on from Davis and instead selected former Colorado wide receiver Travis Hunter to pair up with Brian Thomas Jr. It makes sense that the Steelers would be interested in Davis. He not only provides elite size and speed but also comes as a bargain. Jacksonville is on the hook for $11.5 million of Davis' salary this season, so Pittsburgh wouldn't have to spend a fortune to get a player to compete with Robert Woods to be the Steelers No. 2 wide receiver.
