Emmerdale confirms Aaron's choice between Robert and John in early ITVX release
The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) has married John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in Emmerdale, following the sudden return of his ex Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
Robert made his way back to the village on Wednesday to try and stop Aaron from marrying his half brother. He wasn't there to announce that he knew everything about John's dark secrets, but there to tell Aaron that he never stopped loving him while he was in prison.
Absolutely knocked for six, Aaron wasn't able to complete his vows at first, leaving John incredibly worried. He headed off and found Robert by the bridge, and wondered how on earth he was out of prison.
Robert explained that he had got out following an appeal, and was there to try and get back with Aaron.
The beloved character didn't know what to do next. Torn between the two men, Aaron was forced to choose between Robert and John.
In tonight's episode though, it was confirmed he had picked John.
While the ceremony was concluding, a drunk Robert was sat at the bus station.
His attempt at drowning his sorrows was interrupted by the arrival of PC Swirling (Andy Moore), who revealed to Robert that he's broken his bail conditions.
It meant that Robert was sent back to prison, marking the end to his very brief time back in the Dales.
Back in the village, with John and Aaron finally married, they celebrated with their family in the Woolpack.
Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) eventually arrived after being let out of Lewis Barton's (Bradley Riches) loft, and apologised profusely to Aaron for missing the best man role.
To try and make it up to his pal, Mackenzie decorated John's van ahead of their honeymoon departure. It wasn't perfect, but Aaron appreciated the thought more than anything. More Trending
John and Aaron left the village and John was over the moon. He told Aaron that they've 'done it' but to him, this means far more than finally becoming a married couple.

Outside the pub, youngster Kyle (Huey Quinn) arrived on his bike. He told Caleb (William Ash), Ruby (Beth Cordingly), Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) that he's just seen divers bringing a body out of the lake.
The group immediately thought it was Ruby's father Anthony, and that was where John hid his body months ago.

Unfortunately, the truth will impact the family a lot more, as they will soon be told the body actually belongs to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).
