Ed Sheeran and Weezer Join Coachella Bill, as Both Weekends' Set Times Are Announced

Yahoo06-04-2025

Two prominent last-minute additions have been made to the Coachella 2025 lineup, with the announcement of set times revealing that Ed Sheeran and Weezer have both joined the bill.
Festivalgoers won't get both artists in the same weekend, though. They are playing virtually in the same time slot in the same venue on respective Saturdays, with surprisingly early start times. Weezer will perform in the Mojave tent on April 12 at 3:10 p.m., and Sheeran will take the same stage at 3 p.m. on April 19. Weezer is scheduled to play for a brisk 45 minutes, while Sheeran has a full hour.

The announcement of set times clears up a few mysteries, like how the equally billed Saturday headliners Green Day and Travis Scott will share performance duties on Saturday night of each weekend. Green Day is scheduled to play those nights from 9:05 to 10:45 p.m. PT, and after a healthy set break, Scott will take the stage at midnight.
On the other two nights of each weekend, with no after-hours attraction on the main stage, things should wrap up somewhat earlier. On the two Friday nights, Lady Gaga will take the stage at 11:10, and on the Sunday night bills, Post Malone will cap things off starting at 10:25.
Coachella announced the times via social media posts; see the full lineups for both weekends on the festival's Instagram post, below.

A few artists who were initially announced as part of the lineup are missing, though those were announced prior to Saturday's set time unveiling. FKA Twigs announced Friday that she would have to miss the festival due to visa issues. Prior to that, Anitta had announced in late March that she would be MIA on account of 'unexpected personal reasons.'
For Sheeran, his surprising addition is part of a slow rollout of promotion, information and music for his upcoming album, 'Play.' No release date has been announced for the record, and it's said not to be looming immediately, but a first single from the album, 'Azizam.' Sheeran has made some pop-up appearances recently, busking in front of surprised passers-by, while also previewing tracks from the forthcoming record for tastemakers. He'll next be embarking on a tour of Europe from late May through August.

The 23-year-old forward is still recovering from an ACL tear that cut her rookie season short, and she is expected to be back "some time in June." In the meantime, Brink has been working hard in the gym to stay in shape during her road to recovery. 'Love Island' Contestant Issues Apology After Being Removed From Show For Saying The N-Word

Shortly after Peacock announced the "Love Island USA" cast in late May 2025, video clips of a new islander, Yulissa Escobar, saying the N-word on a previous podcast went viral online. During the season's second episode, which aired on June 4, 2025, the "Love Island USA" narrator, Iain Stirling, announced that producers had removed Escobar from the villa, which many fans assumed was due to her past problematic statements. Now, after some time to process the news that she'd no longer be in the running for the $100,000 grand prize on the most recent season of "Love Island," Escobar released an apology, which has drawn a mixed reaction from fans. On Instagram, Escobar posted a graphic that read, "Owning my mistakes; speaking my truth." In the caption, she wrote, "First, I want to apologize for using a word I had no right in using," referring to viral clips of her using the N-word while speaking about men during a previous podcast episode. "In those clips, I used a word I never should've used, a racial slur," she wrote. "I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it." She continued, "I wasn't trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn't excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It's tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use." Elsewhere, in her caption, Escobar explained that when she used the word, she was "speaking casually in conversation" and wasn't thinking "deeply or critically" about how her words could impact others. "The truth is, I didn't know better then, but I do now. I've taken the time to reflect, to learn, and to grow from that moment," she added. "I've changed a lot since then, not just in how I speak, but in how I show up, how I carry myself, and how I honor the experiences of others," Escobar continued. "Growth means recognizing when you were wrong, even if it's uncomfortable, and choosing to move forward with humility and accountability." As she finished, the now-former reality star explained that she was choosing to speak for herself and did not want anyone commenting on her behalf. "I'm choosing to speak for myself because I take full ownership of my actions. Do not listen to the fake statements. This is my official statement. This is me, speaking directly to you," she wrote. On X, formerly Twitter, many "Love Island" viewers voiced their opinions about Escobar's statement, with many questioning its sincerity. "Girl, you just got kicked out of the villa," one user wrote. "How much time have you really taken to reflect on this?" "I understand why they chose to have her exit the villa, but she didn't learn anything by that," another user commented. "This apology may or may not have been genuine. Having her stay in the villa and understand the weight of the word would have either been a better lesson or shown viewers how she really feels." "Not understanding the weight, history, or pain of the word? I don't buy it," a user posted. "It doesn't take thinking 'deeply or critically' to know not to say the number one racial slur," another user shared. "This is so embarrassing." However, under Escobar's Instagram post, the 27-year-old also received support from a handful of followers. One user said, "Everybody makes mistakes," while another said, "Life is about growth and learning." "We live, we learn, and we grow!" a third commented. "This doesn't define you. Sending you warm hugs." Since Escobar's exit from the villa, "Love Island USA" producers have brought in two new cast members to turn up the heat, bringing the current lineup to 11. For the women, the cast includes: Chelley Bissainthe, 27, from Orlando, Florida Olandria Carthen, 27, from Decatur, Alabama Huda Mustafa, 24, from Raleigh, North Carolina Belle-A Walker, 22, from Honolulu Cierra Ortega, 25, from Arizona For the men, the cast includes: Austin Shepard, 26, from Northville, Michigan Ace Greene, 22, from Los Angeles Taylor Williams, 24, from Oklahoma City Jeremiah Brown, 25, from Los Angeles Nicolas Vansteenberghe, 24, from Jacksonville, Florida Charlie Georgiou, 27, from the United Kingdom

Kourtney Kardashian Shares Throwback Photo of Her Reaction to Tristan Thompson Cheating Scandal with Jordyn Woods

Kourtney Kardashian Barker is taking it back to one of the most talked about moments on Keeping Up with the Kardashians The Poosh founder shared an Instagram carousel featuring a photo of her reaction to the Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson cheating scandal in 2019 "I'm literally shaking," Kardashian Barker said on the E! reality show with a straight faceKourtney Kardashian Barker is throwing it back to one of the most shocking moments in Keeping Up with the Kardashians history! The Poosh founder, 46, shared an Instagram carousel on Friday, June 6, that ended with a still image taken from the penultimate season 16 episode of the long-running reality series. In the scene, the mom of four gets her glam done while wearing patches around her eyes and jawline. She was on a three-way call with sisters Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. The sisters had just learned Khloé's then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, had made out with Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods, at a party at his house. Khloé shared on the call that Woods claimed she and Thompson 'did make out' and that she 'just can't believe this is happening,' adding 'she was 'confused.' "I'm like ... you're confused?" Khloé added on the call, to which Jenner responded, 'Wow.' Kardashian Barker said at the time, "I'm literally shaking, I'm so furious.' She quipped, "Tristan's gotta go.' Khloé, 40, and Thompson, 34, have had a tumultuous relationship since they were romantically linked in 2016. The Jordyn Woods scandal marked Thompson's second time being unfaithful to the Khloé in Wonderland podcast host. Days before Khloé gave birth to her first child with the then-Cleveland Cavaliers player, Thompson was spotted making out with two random women in April 2018. In December 2021, news broke that Thompson fathered a child with Marlee Nichols – while he was in a relationship with Khloé, following their reconciliation. Khloé and Thompson share two children: daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 2 ½. In a November 2023 episode of Hulu's The Kardashians, Kardashian Barker told Thompson 'I don't think you deserve Khloé, or the actions that you've done are something she's deserved." "I'm really not here to judge," Kardashian Barker continued. "I don't have any anger, it's just more like I want an understanding of how you could do these things or how it got there.' As for the Kylie Cosmetics CEO's relationship with Woods since the scandal, the two have slowly rekindled their friendship over the years. Last month, the two shared a sweet BFF moment while attending a Knicks vs. Celtics game. Jenner attended the game with her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet and sister Kendall Jenner. "We're wearing the same outfit every time!" Jenner, 27, told Woods, also 27, after they were spotted jumping up and down, holding hands, following the Knicks' win. Woods is currently dating Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns. Read the original article on People
