V-GREEN signs MOU with four partners to deploy over 60,000 VinFast EV charging ports in Indonesia, with a projected total investment of usd 300 million
JAKARTA, INDONESIA - Media OutReach Newswire - 9 May 2025Under the agreement, V-GREEN and its four partners, including Chargecore, Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS, will jointly invest a total of 300 million USD to develop EV charging infrastructure throughout Indonesia, focusing on provinces such as Jabodatebek, Bandung, Surabaya, Makassar, Medan, Batam, Bali, and Kalimantan. The projects will launch in May 2025, with the first stations scheduled to go online in June.In 2025 alone, Chargecore plans to invest a minimum of 30 million USD, while Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS have each committed to becoming charging ports distributors and investing approximately 5.3 million USD annually. V-GREEN will directly invest in 20% of the stations, while the remaining 80% will be implemented through business cooperation contracts (BCC).Since its entry into the Indonesian market, V-GREEN has operated under the BCC model in partnership with leading reputable local businesses. 13MP to strengthen Perlis, Kedah as major cross-border trade hubs
KANGAR: The 13th Malaysia Plan (MP13) is expected to reinforce Perlis and Kedah's position as major industrial and logistics hubs linking cross-border trade between Malaysia and Thailand. Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) chief executive Datuk Mohamad Haris Kader Sultan said the logistics infrastructure projects announced under 13MP are essential to improving efficiency, reducing business operating costs and attracting more investment in export-oriented manufacturing within the Northern Region. "The Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) welcomes MP13's focus on logistics infrastructure development at the Perlis Inland Port (PIP) and the Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) complex in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah," he said in a statement to Bernama today. Mohamad Haris said this focus aligns with MP13's goal of strengthening the northern logistics corridor under the border development initiative through the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle, as well as boosting bilateral trade, particularly in high-technology products. He said that NCER is currently developing external infrastructure to support the PIP project, including the construction of the Bonded Road and the Railway Spurline and viaduct, under Packages 1 and 2, respectively. "The construction of Package 1, spanning 6.5km, has been fully completed, while Package 2 is 93.6 percent finished," he said. He said the PIP's location next to the Chuping Valley Industrial Area (CVIA) in Padang Besar would create strong industrial-logistics synergies. "NCIA will continue working with the state government and relevant agencies to attract more high-quality investments to CVIA, in line with MP13's goal of balancing regional economic growth and strengthening rural development," he said. Malaysia unveils RM20b infrastructure boost via flood mitigation and cross-border upgrades under 13MP
KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 — Infrastructure and public facility projects, particularly those involving flood mitigation plan (RTB) and improvements to cross-border facilities, are among key initiatives outlined under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) for the 2026–2030 period. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, when tabling the 13MP in the Dewan Rakyat today, said RM20 billion has been allocated for the implementation of 103 flood mitigation plan (RTB) projects to reduce disaster risks and impacts. Among the RTB projects to be implemented are those in Sungai Langat and Sungai Buloh, Selangor; Sungai Golok, Kelantan; Sungai Gemencheh, Tampin, Negeri Sembilan; Sungai Baru, Melaka; Sungai Johor Basin and Sungai Muar Basin, Johor; Sungai Pahang Basin; and Kuching city in Sarawak. 'The early warning system will also be improved with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology so that the people are better prepared and protected when facing disasters,' he said. The Prime Minister said that the implementation of several infrastructure projects that strengthen cross-border connectivity and economy will also continue. PM: Malaysia accelerates green economy under 13MP, prioritises sustainability and low-carbon growth
KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 — The government will intensify efforts to implement a comprehensive green economy agenda under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), with a wide range of initiatives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and accelerating the nation's transition to low-carbon development. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, when tabling the nation's five-year plan in the Dewan Rakyat today, said the green economy will serve as a development model that prioritises environmental stewardship while creating new, sustainable economic opportunities. As part of this effort, carbon trading will be streamlined through the introduction of the National Carbon Market Policy, the implementation of an Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS), and the provision of incentives for carbon credit projects. 'Apart from that, activities related to carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) will also be intensified and integrated into the nation's green investment and financing taxonomy,' he said. The Prime Minister said the government will also launch a pilot carbon capture project in the iron and steel industry, specifically in Kemaman, Terengganu, as part of efforts to decarbonise heavy industry. Abwar said that to support national decarbonisation goals across key sectors, green financing mechanisms will be expanded to provide broader access for industry players and project developers. He also revealed that the government has drafted a Malaysian Aviation Sector Decarbonisation Roadmap, which outlines infrastructure development and the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to reduce carbon emissions from air travel. In parallel, the government will optimise agricultural waste to drive a circular economy, turning biomass into new sources of value-added products. 'As such, the waste-to-energy plant programme will also be expanded through private sector collaboration to reduce the nation's reliance on landfills. 'At the same time, the capacity of biodiesel blending depots in Sandakan, Lahad Datu, and Bintulu will be upgraded to support the increased use of alternative low-carbon fuels,' he said.
