Who's representing Iowa football at 2025 Big Ten Media Days?
Big Ten Media Days will take place over three days this year, spanning July 22-24, with six teams speaking each day. Fans will have to wait until the final day, July 24, to hear Kirk Ferentz and his three team representatives talk about the 2025 season. Iowa joins Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, UCLA and USC as the six teams to speak on the final day.
Who's representing Iowa football at 2025 Big Ten Media Days?
Ferentz is going veteran heavy with his representatives this year, bringing along junior Koen Entringer, sixth-year Logan Jones and sixth-year Ethan Hurkett. And by looking at each player's time in Iowa City, it's easy to see why Ferentz chose these three players.
Entringer, a 6-foot-0 207-pound safety from Ypsilanti, Michigan, played in 12 games last season for the Hawkeyes. He made the first start of his career against Michigan State. In 2024, Entringer had 18 total tackles, one interception and one pass break-up. He figures to start at safety for Iowa this season.

Jones, a 6-foot-3 260-pound center from Council Bluffs, Iowa, has had a storied career with the Hawks so far. He's start 38 games in his career at center, earning a first-team All-Big Ten nod from the media and a second-team All-Big Ten selection from the coaches last season. Entering 2025, Jones is a Walter Camp preseason second-team All-American player.
Hurkett, a 6-foot-3 260-pound defensive lineman from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is coming off his best season as a Hawkeye. He was named an honorable mention All-Big Ten player by both the coaches and media after a 2024 season where he had 56 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, six and a half sacks and three forced fumbles. Entering 2025, Hurkett was named an Athlon Sports second-team All-Big Ten player.
Hawkeye fans will be curious to hear what those three players and Kirk Ferentz have to say at Big Ten Media Days. And when those are done, it'll almost be time to return to Kinnick Stadium for a brand new season of Iowa football.

Months earlier, shortly after his victory in November, Trump attended a UFC fight in New York City, where he was cheered upon his arrival to a ringside seat, feted with a special video celebrating his win. Thursday's announcement, like his previous appearances at UFC events, highlights the alignment between the mixed martial arts brand and the young men who helped propel Trump back to the White House. Trump, who has long styled himself a 'fighter,' successfully tapped into the male-oriented podcast sphere during his 2024 campaign. Many such podcasters discuss physical fitness, promote traditional traits of masculinity and often share a deep appreciation for mixed martial arts, specifically UFC. At Thursday's event, Trump added that the festivities for the country's milestone birthday would also include other professional and amateur sporting events. TORONTO (AP) — New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge drew his 23rd intentional walk of the season in the eighth inning Thursday night against Toronto, matching Mickey Mantle's 1957 team record. Baseball began tracking intentional walks in 1955. Judge matched Albert Pujols (2010) as the only player to receive 23 free passes before the All-Star break. Toronto led 6-5 when former Yankee Chad Green intentionally walked Judge with two outs and the bases empty. The announcement that followed was even more ominous: right forearm tightness. By the end of the night, the Yankees had lost their fourth straight game, 8-5, to get swept out of Rogers Centre by the now first-place Blue Jays. The Yankees (48-39) headed back to New York for the Subway Series trailing the Blue Jays (49-38) by a game and tied with the Rays for second place in the AL East after losing for the 14th time in their last 20 games. But that seemed secondary to the concern for Schmidt, who has dealt with various injuries throughout his career — including Tommy John surgery in 2017 — and now will have to hope that this latest issue does not fully derail what had been an encouraging season to date and make him the third Yankees starter to miss serious time this season. The 29-year-old right-hander had experienced a slower recovery between starts recently, which led the Yankees to give him an extra day of rest before his last start Saturday. The eighth inning was more fitting of how things have gone of late for the Yankees. Aaron Judge was intentionally walked — for the fifth time this series, setting a franchise record — with two outs to bring up Cody Bellinger. He worked a full count before getting jammed with a sinker that ran in to hit him on the left forearm. But Bellinger went around on the pitch, so as he stood at the plate in disbelief, catcher Alejandro Kirk retrieved the ball down the third base line and threw to first for the out. Springer shoved the Yankees out the door in the bottom of the frame by taking Luke Weaver deep for a two-run shot, finishing off his second multi-homer game of the series.
