Who's representing Iowa football at 2025 Big Ten Media Days?
Now that we're into the month of July, Big Ten football season is right around the corner. But before each team hits the gridiron next month, they'll send representatives to Las Vegas, Nevada for Big Ten Media Days. Big Ten Media Days will take place over three days this year, spanning July 22-24, with six teams speaking each day. Fans will have to wait until the final day, July 24, to hear Kirk Ferentz and his three team representatives talk about the 2025 season. Iowa joins Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, UCLA and USC as the six teams to speak on the final day. Who's representing Iowa football at 2025 Big Ten Media Days? Ferentz is going veteran heavy with his representatives this year, bringing along junior Koen Entringer, sixth-year Logan Jones and sixth-year Ethan Hurkett. And by looking at each player's time in Iowa City, it's easy to see why Ferentz chose these three players. Entringer, a 6-foot-0 207-pound safety from Ypsilanti, Michigan, played in 12 games last season for the Hawkeyes. He made the first start of his career against Michigan State. In 2024, Entringer had 18 total tackles, one interception and one pass break-up. He figures to start at safety for Iowa this season. Advertisement Jones, a 6-foot-3 260-pound center from Council Bluffs, Iowa, has had a storied career with the Hawks so far. He's start 38 games in his career at center, earning a first-team All-Big Ten nod from the media and a second-team All-Big Ten selection from the coaches last season. Entering 2025, Jones is a Walter Camp preseason second-team All-American player. Hurkett, a 6-foot-3 260-pound defensive lineman from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is coming off his best season as a Hawkeye. He was named an honorable mention All-Big Ten player by both the coaches and media after a 2024 season where he had 56 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, six and a half sacks and three forced fumbles. Entering 2025, Hurkett was named an Athlon Sports second-team All-Big Ten player. Hawkeye fans will be curious to hear what those three players and Kirk Ferentz have to say at Big Ten Media Days. And when those are done, it'll almost be time to return to Kinnick Stadium for a brand new season of Iowa football. Three Wisconsin football starters to represent Badgers at Big Ten Media Day in Las Vegas
Wisconsin football announced on Tuesday that starting offensive lineman Jake Renfro, cornerback Ricardo Hallman and quarterback Billy Edwards Jr. will represent the program later this month at the 2025 Big Ten Media Days in Las Vegas. The trio of Badgers will take the stage on July 23 during the three-day event. UW, along with Minnesota, Northwestern, Oregon, Penn State and Washington, will see its players speak with media throughout that day. In 2024, starting left tackle Jack Nelson, safety Hunter Wohler and inside linebacker Jake Chaney represented the Badgers at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Advertisement Renfro, who suited up in all 12 of the Badgers' contests during the 2024 slate, is entering his third year in Madison after spending two seasons with the Cincinnati Bearcats from 2020-21. Prior to missing the entire 2022 season due to injury, Renfro flashed his brilliance by anchoring an offensive line that enabled the Bearcats to accumulate a single-season record for touchdowns. As a graduate student, Renfro is one of the Badgers' veterans with a multi-year relationship with head coach Luke Fickell. Hallman, meanwhile, enters his fifth season with UW. The star cornerback was one of two players in the country to tally seven interceptions during the 2023 slate, enough to earn him a spot as an AP Third Team All-American. In 2024, he was targeted just 33 times - the fewest times for any corner in the nation with 300+ coverage snaps. Edwards Jr. arrives in Madison following three seasons with the Maryland Terrapins. The transfer quarterback completed 65% of his passes for 2,881 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions during the 2024 season, his first full season as a starter in the Big Ten. He will fill the void left by Braedyn Locke, who transferred out of UW following the conclusion of last season. Advertisement While fans are familiar with both Hallman and Renfro, Edwards' outlook on the 2025 season will be the most noteworthy aspect of the media day period. With new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes at the helm, Edwards' trajectory under center is one of the more intriguing pieces to UW's 2025 puzzle. Kamari Ramsey, Makai Lemon, Elijah Paige to represent USC at 2025 Big Ten media days
Believe it or not, the start of the 2025 college football season is right around the corner. We are just three weeks away from this year's Big Ten football media days, which signify the unofficial start of the year. On Monday, the conference announced the player representatives for all 18 schools who will be in attendance at the event. Representing USC this year will be redshirt junior safety Kamari Ramsey, junior wide receiver Makai Lemon, and redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Elijah Paige, along with head coach Lincoln Riley. Ramsey also represented USC at Big Ten Media Days last year. After transferring in from crosstown rival UCLA last season alongside defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn ahead of last season, he finished the 2024 campaign with 60 tackles, five passes defended, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception. Lemon is coming off a sophomore season in which he led the Trojans in both receptions (52) and receiving yards (764). Now as a junior in 2025, he will look to establish himself as one of the top wide receivers in the country. Paige is entering his second season as a starter on USC's offensive line. Last year, he was named a freshman All-American by the FWAA. This year's Big Ten football media days will take place from July 22-24 in Las Vegas. USC's representatives are scheduled to speak on day three of the event.
