Mac DeMarco Delivers New 'Guitar' Single "Holy"
Mac DeMarcodebuted his latest single 'Holy,' the second release from his upcoming albumGuitar.
The new track follows last month's 'Home' and hears DeMarco reflect on his spirituality. 'Holy' also arrives with an accompanying music video filmed by the artist himself, 'I waded around in the ocean fully clothed for a couple hours and completely filled my boots with seawater.'
He continued, 'There were some other shots on some rocks I kept trying too, but in the end the clip of me falling in the garden and eating the apple was best. Thank you for listening.'
Guitaris set to release on August 22, and was written and recorded in its entirety in November last year at DeMarco's Los Angeles home. With the exception of the mastering (done by David Ives), the album was created fully by DeMarco. I thinkGuitaris as close to a true representation of where I'm at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper. I'm happy to share this music, and look forward to playing these songs as many places as I'm able,' he said.

📸 Joško Gvardiol is going to extreme lengths to stay fit over the summer
There's pre-season for every other player in the world - and then there's pre-season Joško Gvardiol-style. City are back together this week after their short break following the summer's Club World Cup exploits. But Gvardiol has been attempting to stay fit ahead of the new campaign in a rather unorthodox way. Photos from the TNT Sports X account show the Croatia international taking part in a Special Forces experience back home. Ben White could never. 📸 PATRICIA DE MELO MOREIRA - AFP or licensors

Video: Mom Celebrates Foster Pitbull's Adoption Anniversary After Story Goes Viral
There's something deeply meaningful about celebrating milestones like birthdays and anniversaries with our loved ones. In one such occasion, a mom celebrated their family's foster Pitbull's adoption anniversary in a video after their story went viral on TikTok. A year after she found Nala and brought her home, the post recapped the wholesome and life-changing moments of the pup and what the adoption meant for her kids. Mom shows her kids' bond with Pitbull while celebrating dog's 'Gotcha Day' Adopting a dog and giving them a second chance at life as well as a forever home doesn't just change their world — it transforms your life, too. This mom, Nicole, shared the story of their foster Pitbull, Nala, in a touching video to celebrate her adoption anniversary, a year after their life-changing move went viral on social media. The TikTok post from a year ago showed the children's reaction after learning they saved the sweet girl's life, as they instantly bonded with the pup. And the latest video showed Nicole's kids' extraordinary bond with the Pittie now as they celebrated the dog's 'gotcha day.' The initial clip showed one of her sons cuddling Nala, who hid her face from the camera, and celebrating the special milestone with her. Meanwhile, the remainder of the post recapped the little one's story from the moment the foster mom found her on the side of the road and decided to bring her home because the 'shelters were full.' As the Pitbull's adoption anniversary video progressed, it shared updates and all the developments they made throughout the year. These included vet visits and their attempts to find her a good home. However, Nicole explained that her kids fell in love with Nala as more clips looked back at their journey together. It further showed how she made new friends along the way, found comfort as part of the family, and flawlessly blended in. Going to the beach, celebrating Christmas, playing in the snow, exploring the wild, swimming in the pool, and endless cuddle sessions pretty much summed up the Pittie's story with her new family. The video concluded by noting how 'one man's 'trash'' turned into 'another man's treasure.' Golden Retriever Slides Down Stairs Every Day Just to 'Make an Entrance'
Golden Retriever Slides Down Stairs Every Day Just to 'Make an Entrance' originally appeared on Parade Pets. Our fur babies have their own unique ways of doing things. My little senior Dachshund is very dainty in how she eats and carries herself in general. My Pug bounds about like a bull in a china shop, and has perfected a "happy dance" at dinner time. It's his own signature jig. Chester the Golden Retriever added a unique spin on going downstairs. Rather than just walking or running, the creative canine uses a little flair to get from one place to another. In the TikTok from @lucy_morrison18, Chester was at the top of the steps in his home about to head downstairs. One would expect him to take the steps one by one, but he has a different technique. Chester slid down the stairs, using his front paws as a guide and his back legs just went along for the ride. The playful pup made a sort of bark/groan/growl noise as he careened down the steps. "He likes to make an entrance every morning," the onscreen text explained. These don't look like ordinary straight steps — there were a few turns and corners that Chester had to navigate and he handled it like a pro. The gliding Golden slid right past his mom, who was on the steps with some laundry. The expression on her face revealed that this is a daily occurence with her seemed almost disappointed when he got to the bottom of the stairs, like the fun ended too soon. The frisky fur baby definitely makes his mark when he goes from one floor to another. "He's not your average guy," the caption read. The innovative pooch deserves props for his sense of whimsy and originality. I don't know of any dogs that intentionally slide down the stairs, though there are obviously some out there. My Pug was actually afraid of stairs when we adopted him as a rescue from Puerto Rico. He overcame his fear, but he's still a bit hesitant when it comes to taking that first step. Hopefully Chester will stick to the stairs and not attempt to slide down the banister. 🐶🐾🐾 Golden Retriever Slides Down Stairs Every Day Just to 'Make an Entrance' first appeared on Parade Pets on Jul 28, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jul 28, 2025, where it first appeared.
