With the help of this software, a bus can transport students and faculty members within the campus from one place to another without a driver.
It is important to note that this technology is currently limited to the IIT Hyderabad campus. However, the technology is likely to be introduced in transportation sector soon. Officials associated with the project believe that driverless technology will help in reducing road accidents and fatalities. With the help of this software, a bus can transport students and faculty members within the campus from one place to another without a driver.
TiHAN officials say that the driverless bus is currently not being operated on public roads.
So far, the bus has transported more than 10,000 passengers
Around 90 percent of the passengers have given positive feedback about the trip.
The bus is equipped with various sensors that help it understand its surroundings.
This system can work for both electric and fuel-powered vehicles.
With the help of AI, it can detect surrounding traffic and vehicle movement, and then proceed accordingly.
The driverless bus has been successful in its trial, with other educational institutions and the Telangana government also showing interest in it.
They believe it can be used at airports, large college campuses, or industrial areas where there is not much traffic.
It is possible that in the future, such vehicles or buses may pass by you, and this could become normal for you.

But investment alone is insufficient. The talent pool trained to design, deploy, and govern AI systems is lagging behind. In many organizations, innovation in AI is outpacing workforce readiness and governance frameworks. Employees often feel underprepared—not due to resistance, but because training, role-specific upskilling, and AI literacy have not kept pace with technological change. Cultural diversity, language barriers, and varied education systems across APAC further complicate the creation of a region-wide skilled AI workforce. To bridge this divide, enterprises need structured AI and GenAI talent development frameworks that are scalable, measurable, and adaptable to evolving technologies. Such frameworks should: • Provide foundational AI literacy for all employees, regardless of role. • Offer role-based practical training for professionals in technical and non-technical functions. • Develop certified specialists with deep domain expertise in AI deployment. • Cultivate strategic leaders capable of driving AI innovation and governance at an enterprise scale. This tiered approach allows organizations to embed AI capabilities at every operational layer—from frontline staff to the C-suite. Importantly, in-house trainers and industry-specific learning modules can make training more relevant and impactful. In the enterprise technology context, AI skills cannot be siloed. They need to intersect with other capabilities such as: • Cybersecurity – safeguarding AI models and data pipelines from vulnerabilities. • Data Science & Machine Learning – building and refining predictive and generative models. • Cloud Computing – enabling scalable AI deployments across geographies. • Ethical AI Governance – ensuring accuracy, bias mitigation, and regulatory compliance. These competencies will be essential as AI becomes integrated into everything from supply chain systems to customer engagement platforms. Responsible AI adoption Expanding AI use also means expanding accountability. Governance models must address risks such as bias in outputs, misinformation, intellectual property concerns, and data leakage. Organizations should invest in transparent governance frameworks, clear audit trails, and training that empowers employees to identify and mitigate AI risks. Responsible AI adoption is not just about compliance—it is about building trust with employees, customers, and regulators. In a region as diverse as APAC, this trust will be a competitive differentiator. The leadership imperative The role of leadership in AI transformation extends beyond technology investment. Executives must actively participate in upskilling, signal commitment to continuous learning, and ensure inclusivity in training initiatives. By aligning AI innovation agendas with workforce development strategies, leaders can create sustainable adoption rather than short-term experimentation. Ultimately, the future of APAC's AI economy will depend on how effectively the region matches technological advances with human capabilities. IIT Bombay launches women-only certificate course on Generative AI for business
Agency: Mumbai, Aug 18 (PTI) Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on Monday said its Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE) is rolling out a beginner-level course exclusively designed to empower women professionals, entrepreneurs, and managers with practical skills in generative AI. The special edition of 'GenAI for Business: A Hands-On Introduction" will be conducted online from September 11 to 13, and the last date of registration is September 9, IIT Bombay said in a statement. This will give an opportunity to the women participants to explore the fast-evolving world of GenAI in a supportive, collaborative learning environment. Over the course of three days, participants will gain hands-on experience with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Co-Pilot, DALLE, Perplexity, Flux1, Grok, and Notebook LM through live demos, exercises, and real-world examples. TikTok unveils updated community guidelines; to come into force from September 13
ANI TikTok has announced revised community guidelines on its platform, which include stricter rules for commercial content and new measures around artificial intelligence (AI)-generated content. The updates will take effect starting September 13 this year. Under the updated guidelines, TikTok will now minimise the visibility of commercial content, directing users to buy products off-platform in markets where TikTok Shop is available. TikTok Shop, which launched in the US in September 2023, allows users to run livestreams, selling everything from sneakers to eyeshadow and earn a commission on sales. TikTok's built-in ecommerce marketplace is known for discounted products. Additionally, the revised guidelines mandate the commercial content to be disclosed through TikTok's branded content tools. Verification must In line with the enhanced scrutiny over commercial content, TikTok has approved only verified TikTok Shop sellers and business accounts to promote products categorised under high-risk or sensitive items. The updated guidelines consolidate gambling, alcohol, drugs, firearms, and tobacco policies under a single Regulated Goods & Services section. For live creators Live streamers on the platform are charged with tighter rules, as they are now responsible for everything that pops up during their live session, even if it involves third-party tools, like real-time translation or voice-to-text tools to read out viewers' comments. Thus, creators need to closely monitor these tools to prevent potential rule violations. Personalisation update In a blog post, the ByteDance-owned social networking platform said it is extending its personalisation model beyond the For You Feed. Now, search results and recommendations will differ per user based on past searches and video interactions on the the comment section will have a unique interface for every user based on past replies, likes, and prior company noted that personalisation is designed to keep content 'entertaining and informative' while filtering out queries linked to harassment or graphic themes. AI-generated content In a move aimed at addressing AI-led deepfakes, TikTok has asked for clear labelling of media content and restrains content 'that's misleading about matters of public importance or harmful to individuals.'The policy on AI-generated content (AIGC) has been rewritten in simpler language, while references to AI endorsements present in prior versions have been removed.
