
Dhamar: Workshop focuses on supporting productive family projects
Dhamar - Saba:
The National Women's Committee in Dhamar province organized an awareness workshop on Tuesday on mechanisms to support productive family projects and enhance the quality of their products.
The workshop, attended by 60 women from productive families, was held in coordination with the local authority, the Small and Micro Enterprise Development Authority, and the Tax Authority.
The workshop, themed "Together We Are Sufficient," aimed to prepare for the sixth productive families festival and the launch of a white loans program for women involved in productive family activities.
Head of the National Women's Committee branch in Dhamar Dr. Ashwaq al-Mahdi discussed preparations for the Ramadan productive families festival, which will provide a platform for women to market their products and exchange knowledge to improve product quality and compete with imports. She also announced the availability of white loans for productive families.
Director of Statistics in Dhamar Salah al-Sayyadi explained the loan application process, required guarantees, and methods for monitoring loan utilization.
Director of the Tax Authority branch in Dhamar Ali Hatem and Director of Financial Affairs at the Authority Amer al-Hajj outlined tax exemptions and facilities for productive family projects.
They emphasized the importance of these projects in achieving economic and social development, self-sufficiency, and reducing imports.
They encouraged productive families to overcome challenges, focus on product quality and packaging, and compete with imported goods.
Director of the Businesswomen Services Department at the Tax Authority Zainab al-Anesi highlighted the importance of supporting businesswomen and female entrepreneurs in revitalizing the national economy.
She emphasized the Tax Authority's commitment to providing tax exemptions for small and micro enterprises.

Endowments authority distributes cash aid to wounded war veterans
Sana'a - Saba: The General Authority for Endowments has launched the fifth phase of its cash transfer project, providing financial assistance to individuals wounded and disabled during the conflict. The project, implemented in collaboration with the Yemen Future Association and the Wounded Foundation, aims to support those who have suffered injuries due to the "aggression." Dr. Abdullah al-Qudami, the Authority's Undersecretary for the Mosques and Endowments Sector, informed Saba News Agency that the fifth phase of the project distributed 115 million Yemeni Y.R to 6,000 wounded and disabled veterans across the capital and other provinces. This brings the total disbursement across all five phases of the project to approximately 615 million Y.R. Dr. al-Qudami emphasized that the project is a gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices made by these individuals in defense of the nation against the "US-Saudi aggression." He stated that they are deemed worthy of support from endowment funds, and that this represents a minimal offering. Al-Qudami also expressed regret for the cancellation of accompanying hospitality events, which were traditionally held during Ramadan, citing national security concerns related to the ongoing aggression on the country.
