Warner Bros. drops first teaser for ‘One Battle After Another' starring Leonardo DiCaprio
Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first teaser for One Battle After Another, the highly anticipated film from writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Sean Penn, the film is set to hit theaters on September 26, 2025.
The teaser offers a glimpse into the film's action-packed world, showing characters engaged in intense shootouts. One striking scene features Taylor's character, visibly pregnant, firing a rifle while DiCaprio's character calmly watches with a drink in hand. The teaser then jumps ahead, revealing the child grown up and mirroring her mother's actions, firing a gun of her own. 'Just when you think you got a handle on things,' a voice narrates as DiCaprio, now older with a goatee, takes aim through a gun scope.
While plot details remain scarce, One Battle After Another is described as a contemporary action drama and one of Anderson's most expensive films to date, with a reported budget ranging between $100 million and $140 million. The film reunites Anderson with composer Johnny Greenwood and features supporting performances from Benicio del Toro, Wood Harris, Shayna McHayle, and Chase Infiniti.
Filming began in January 2024 under the working title BC Project and primarily took place in California and El Paso, Texas. Anderson shot the film on 35mm VistaVision cameras, staying true to his signature cinematic style.
With a full trailer expected next week, anticipation is building for what could be Anderson's most ambitious project yet. Stay tuned for more updates.

Dior appoints Jonathan Anderson creative director of womenswear, menswear and haute couture collections
Dior has appointed Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson as its new creative director, giving him full creative control over women's, men's, and haute couture collections—a historic first since the house's founder, Christian Dior. Dior is thrilled to welcome Jonathan Anderson, a visionary creator with a remarkable career, as Creative Director of women's, men's, and haute couture collections of the House. For the first time at Christian Dior Couture, since Monsieur Dior, a Creative Director will work on… — Dior (@Dior) June 2, 2025 Anderson, 40, becomes the first designer to oversee all divisions of the fashion house. Delphine Arnault, chair and CEO of Dior, called him 'the most talented designer of his generation.' His appointment marks a bold new direction for the storied brand, echoing the influence of Karl Lagerfeld, to whom Anderson is often compared. 'It is a great honour to join the house of Dior as creative director of both women's and men's collections,' Anderson said in a statement. 'I have always been inspired by the rich history of this house, its depth, and empathy. I look forward to working alongside its legendary ateliers to craft the next chapter of this incredible story.' The appointment follows an earlier announcement in April that Anderson would lead Dior's menswear. It also coincides with the departure of Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior's womenswear creative director, who concluded her tenure with a show in Rome last week. Dior confirmed the change on Instagram, noting that for the first time since Christian Dior, one creative director will oversee all collections. To signal the transition, Dior will skip the upcoming haute couture shows in July—an unprecedented move in its 78-year history. Anderson rose to prominence through his transformation of the Spanish label Loewe and high-profile designs for Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and Harry Styles. His appointment reflects Dior's confidence in his vision and marks a shift toward a more unified and innovative approach under the LVMH umbrella. Delphine Arnault said, 'I am convinced he will bring a creative and modern vision to our house, inspired by the fabulous story of Monsieur Dior.'

Lauren Sánchez and Leonardo DiCaprio's awkward moment at amfAR Gala sparks viral reactions again
Lauren Sánchez, fiancée of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and actor Leonardo DiCaprio have once again found themselves at the center of attention after an awkward encounter at the 2025 amfAR Gala. This comes after a similar moment in 2021 at the LACMA Gala, which had already gone viral for its awkwardness. At the latest event, a video surfaced showing DiCaprio approaching the couple at their table. As he leaned in, Sánchez appeared to go in for a kiss on his cheek, but stopped just shy of making contact, while DiCaprio placed his hands on both their arms in a seemingly playful group hug. This moment quickly sparked comparisons to their previous interaction, where Sánchez appeared unusually close to DiCaprio while Bezos seemed oblivious to the tension. Fans wasted no time in commenting on the body language between the two, with one Instagram user remarking, 'Body language is screaming. Even billionaires love Leo!' The video gained traction online, echoing the viral reaction from the LACMA Gala, where the interaction was branded as awkward. This wasn't the first time the internet had reacted to the pair's interactions. After the 2021 video went viral, Bezos responded humorously on social media. He posted a photo of himself next to a sign that read, "Danger! Steep Cliff. Fatal Drop," with a caption jokingly inviting DiCaprio to 'come over here, I want to show you something.' Bezos's witty response sparked even more playful comments from fans, further fueling the viral sensation.

Benedict Cumberbatch calls Michael Cera perfect fit for Wes Anderson in The Phoenician Scheme
Benedict Cumberbatch didn't hold back when praising Michael Cera's debut in Wes Anderson's cinematic world, calling the casting 'divine' and likening it to 'God discovering water.' Speaking at the Cannes press conference for The Phoenician Scheme, Cumberbatch said Cera's offbeat presence was a perfect match for Anderson's symmetrical, stylized filmmaking. His comments were reported by Variety. Cera stars as Bjorn Lund, a shady private tutor entangled in a web of high-society drama. The ensemble cast includes Benicio del Toro as eccentric tycoon Zsa-zsa Korda and Mia Threapleton, who plays his estranged daughter, Sister Liesel — a rebellious, chain-smoking nun. Cumberbatch, reuniting with Anderson after The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, described the new film as feeling like 'home.' Anderson co-wrote The Phoenician Scheme with Roman Coppola. Set partly in Germany, the film adopts a darker tone than some of Anderson's previous work, blending droll humor with melancholic undertones. Richard Ayoade, who appears as a Marxist revolutionary, is also slated to join Anderson and Coppola on their next collaborative project, continuing the creative partnership. Cumberbatch praised Anderson's directing style as 'zen-like,' highlighting the disciplined yet collaborative energy on set. He also spoke highly of working alongside del Toro, calling it a 'phenomenal' experience that pushed him in new ways. Cera, meanwhile, expressed that missing out on Asteroid City was initially 'crushing,' but said The Phoenician Scheme was a 'redeeming' opportunity. The all-star cast is rounded out by Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Scarlett Johansson, and others. Following its world premiere at Cannes, The Phoenician Scheme will open in limited release on May 30, 2025, before expanding to a wide theatrical release on June 6. With critical buzz and a powerhouse ensemble, Anderson's latest may be his most anticipated film since The Grand Budapest Hotel.
