Teen footballer who lost legs in horror crash will 'never forgive' drink driver

The promising footballer "will never forgive that man for what he has done to me".
A promising teen footballer who lost his lower legs in a horror car crash has said he'll "never forgive" the drink-driver behind the wheel.

Adam Golebiewski, 18, from Banff, suffered life-changing injuries in a car crash on Union Road in MacDuff, Aberdeenshire, on September 8 last year.

The then 17-year-old was a passenger in Arran Paterson's vehicle and was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where medics were his legs were amputated below the knee.

The goalkeeper with junior side Deveronside received a double amputation and underwent rehabilitation at the city's Woodend Hospital for around three months. After a gruelling recovery, where in which he celebrated his 18th birthday, he was fitted for prosthetics.
At Aberdeen Sheriff Court, Paterson, 19, admitted dangerous driving, being over the drink-drive limit and driving without insurance. Adam walked into court unaided on prosthetic legs following intensive rehabilitation.

He told BBC News that his "life is not over". Adam said: "I will never forgive that man for what he has done to me. I am still the same, I just don't have legs any more. I want to try to enjoy life again and stay positive."
Apprentice builder Adam was one of three passengers in the car that crashed. The two others were also badly hurt.
Adam was able to walk again on crutches and said he was "thankful and grateful" be home with his family for Christmas.

He told BBC News at the time: "I just thought in my head: 'Why was it me? Why did it happen to a guy that was just trying to do well in life?'.
"It's a bit crazy to be walking already. I was just so happy to get out. I am very happy with them [the prosthetics], I get to do normal things again.

"If I am with people I am the happiest person alive. Even when I cry I will smile.
"It's been three months of pain, being trapped in hospital but I am home now, so that's the most important thing.

"People say we're so proud of you, you must be proud of yourself. I'm just like 'I am' but I would keep that to myself."
Attending the court hearing, Adam was able to walk without crutches alongside family and friends.
Paterson pleaded guilty to the three charges. He admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving and at excessive speed, losing control and colliding with a wall.
Sheriff Graham Buchanan told Paterson he would defer sentence until next month for the preparation of background reports. Bail was continued and he was disqualified from driving.

Liam Gallagher supports brother Paul and flies him to Scotland amid rape charge

Paul Gallagher, the older brother of Liam and Noel, is facing a rape charge amongst 11 charges. Liam Gallagher has reportedly moved brother Paul Gallagher into his £4m mansion after he was charged with rape. The 59-year-old, who is the older brother of Oasis stars Liam and Noel Gallagher, is set to appear at Westminster magistrates' court on August 27. He is currently on bail after being accused of rape, strangulation and coercive control. The DJ is facing a total of 11 charges, including sexual assault, actual bodily harm and threats to kill. The offences are alleged to have taken place between 2022 and 2024. He has denied all allegations. Younger brother Liam, who is said to be very close with Paul, is now showing his support for his older sibling by allowing him to stay at his home in North London, according to The Sun. A source for the publication also reports that Liam allegedly flew Paul out to Oasis' Murrayfield gig on Saturday night via a £3.5m private jet, the Metro reports. In pictures obtained by The Sun, Liam and Paul were seen arriving at Luton airport where they laughed and joked together before boarding the private jet. Another image published by the publication shows Paul at Liam's London mansion, dragging his luggage behind him as he carries a heavy backpack. Oasis are set to play one more night at Murrayfield on Tuesday before heading to Dublin on the next stop of their tour. The third Gallagher brother has never been a part of Oasis, although he previously worked as a DJ and photographer while the band toured. He is set to play a DJ set at the Ultimate Oasis Weekender after-show party at The Grand Social in Dublin on August 16 and 17. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Missing tot 'sold to meth dealer' after suffering horrific abuse from parents

Baby London Kerr was reportedly beaten with a wooden paddle and even shot at with a BB gun by her mum, Ashley Ceejay Rowland and her boyfriend, Joshua Denton. The pair have now been arrested. A missing two-year-old girl was allegedly sold to a meth dealer after enduring appalling abuse at the hands of her own parents. ‌ Baby London Kerr was allegedly beaten with a wooden paddle and even shot at with a BB gun by her mum, Ashley Ceejay Rowland, 39, and her boyfriend, Joshua Denton, 40. ‌ The pair have now been arrested on multiple child abuse charges over the little girl's disappearance. London, from Oklahoma, was last seen in 2022 in the arms of her mum's drug dealer, before vanishing, reports the Mirror. ‌ Three years on, police detained Rowland and Denton on August 5. Their arrests come just days after a separate case in which a five-year-old boy was murdered by kidnappers when his mum couldn't pay a £39 ransom. Concerns over London's welfare were first raised in April 2023 when authorities failed to find her during a court ordered pick up. At first, Rowland claimed her daughter was living with her father in Georgia. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! But according to arrest reports, she later admitted she'd handed the toddler to a man called 'Carlos' in 2022, a man she bought methamphetamine from. Rowland allegedly told police that was the last time she saw her daughter. She claimed Carlos had said he was heading to Mexico but she never gave him any of London's identification. ‌ Before allegedly abandoning the tot, the pair are accused of subjecting her to sickening cruelty. Rowland's teenage children told police the couple locked London in a closet, shot her with BB guns, and whipped her with a wooden paddle. Denton's own teenage daughters told officers he had poured hot sauce into the child's eyes and forced her to eat a hot pepper. Rowland and Denton were arrested on Tuesday on multiple charges. ‌ Denton is now facing nine charges, including six counts of child abuse, one count of forcible sodomy, one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child, and one count of engaging in a pattern of criminal offences. Rowland faces one count of enabling child abuse, and was previously charged last year with abandonment of a child in Oklahoma County District Court. Police say Rowland's two teenage children have also accused Denton of physical abuse towards them and London, including taping one of the teens to a chair before beating them with a belt. Authorities have renewed their search for London, who is due to turn six years old in September. Oklahoma City police Sgt. Dillon Quirk told KOCO-TV: "Time is of the essence, still hoping for a positive turnout in this case, and we don't have a lot to go off of right now, which makes it extremely difficult."
