Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary together amid marital woes

Daily Mail6 hours ago

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary on Monday, just months after reports emerged they had split.
Back in March, it was reported that the EastEnders actress, 32, had separated from the former TOWIE star, 33.
Despite reports of their marriage being 'over', the couple enjoyed a romantic break at a luxury London hotel to mark the milestone.
Jacqueline took to her Instagram Story to show off their modern suite at the five-star Pan Pacific Hotel, complete with views of St Paul's Cathedral.
She also shared a snap of her husband Dan gazing out the window at the London skyline.
The EastEnders actress, 32, and the former TOWIE star, 33, enjoyed a romantic getaway at a luxury London hotel to mark the milestone - despite previous reports that their marriage was 'over'
She captioned the post: 'Happy 8th wedding anniversary,' alongside an eyes welling up emoji and a love heart hand emoji.
The actress also posted a photo of a large bouquet of pink flowers next to a personalised bottle of bubbly that read, 'Cheers to you beautiful.'
In March, it was reported that Dan and Jacqueline's marriage was 'over' and that the couple were living separately after he 'betrayed' her and 'reignited old trust issues'.
At the time, pals reportedly told The Sun that Dan 'no longer loves her' and wants to move on with his life.
The source said: 'Dan has fallen out of love with Jacqueline and there's no way back for him.
'Jacqueline is absolutely devastated and will do anything to make it work.
'Dan has told friends it's over for him and while he won't be rushing into a divorce, it's not a question of if they will, but when.'
MailOnline contacted Jacqueline and Dan's representatives for comment at the time.
Jacqueline reportedly wanted to get things back on track with Dan and 'there had been no conversation about divorce' after their shocking split.
The couple reportedly went their separate ways after the former TOWIE star purchased a property without his wife's knowledge.
Sources close to soap star Jacqueline, who shares daughters Ella, ten, and Mia, six, with Dan, said she felt 'betrayed' and it had 'reignited old trust issues'.
But a friend of the EastEnders star claimed that while the pair were no longer together, they didn't plan to start divorce proceedings.
A source said: 'Jacqueline and Dan have effectively ended the marriage but she wants to try to get back on track, things have been very difficult between them but she still has love for Dan.
'He's still not living at the family home but he and Jacqueline are talking things through. There has been no conversation about divorce.'
Jacqueline was left in shock after discovering her husband had bought a house in Essex last year, which put more pressure on their strained relationship.
The couple reportedly struggled to make their marriage work following weeks of heated rows.
Jacqueline, who was pictured for the first time in May without her wedding ring, was the sole owner of the couple's 'dream' £2million six-bedroom home, which was put on the market last June and sold in March for a six-figure sum.
A source told MailOnline that Dan, who's also a father to son Teddy, 11, with ex-partner Megan Tomlin, wanted to 'protect' himself and invest in somewhere to live for his own security as his relationship with Jacqueline gradually declined.
An insider revealed: 'Dan bought a house last year without telling Jacqueline until the final stages.
'He put the wheels in motion because he believed their relationship was coming to an end and with Jacqueline owning their marital home, he needed to look after his future.
'It caused a blazing row between them and the trust, which was already fragmented, really suffered.'
It was confirmed in March that the couple had separated following almost eight years of marriage and over 10 years together.
The Sun on Sunday revealed at the time that Dan had packed his bags and moved out with the couple uncertain about their future.
An official statement said: 'Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye. They kindly ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this together.
'Their children remain their top priority, surrounded by love and care from both parents, something that will never change.
'Above all, Jacqueline and Dan have each other's and their children's best interests at heart. There will be no further comment.'
Jacqueline married ex-TOWIE star Dan in June 2017 and in July last year, she paid tribute to her husband online.
She wrote: 'Just realised I haven't even posted on the grid about Daniel's birthday or our anniversary and I just wanted to do a little appreciation post for my bestest friend in the world. Over 10 years and seven of them married. Love you more than ever. Crazy little world isn't it.'
The couple have faced their difficulties over the years, with their marriage plagued by cheating allegations against Dan.

UK's most popular theme park unveils unlimited entry pass - and it costs less than a single day ticket

It's now cheaper than ever to head to Alton Towers for the day. The Stoke-on-Trent theme park is selling three-month seasonal passes for £59 – better value than a day ticket, which costs £68 if you buy at the gate. The pass provides guests with unlimited access to Alton Towers for three months, meaning you can ride on The Smiler and the park's newest attraction, Toxicator, as many times as your stomach can handle. There are a few dates when this pass can't be used – the August Bank Holiday weekend, and some days in October in the run-up to Halloween. If the three-month pass isn't enough of an adrenaline rush for you, there's also an Alton Towers Gold Pass available for £139. This offers ticketholders unlimited entry to the theme park for a whole year, as well as up to 20 per cent off food and drinks, and discounts on hotel breaks at the resort. But if you're worried about getting bored by Alton Towers, the Merlin Annual Pass might be for you - offering entry to Alton Towers, as well as a wide range of UK attractions, including Thorpe Park, Legoland, Chessington World of Adventures, Madame Tussauds and Cadbury World. Prices for the Merlin Annual Pass start at £99 – although this only includes unlimited off-peak entry. The pass provides guests with unlimited access to Alton Towers for three months, meaning you can ride on The Smiler as many times as your stomach can handle But the Merlin Platinum Pass costs £299, and is completely unlimited. It also offers free parking and free Coca-Cola Freestyle cups with two refill vouchers, as well as 10 per cent off Fastrack and Reserve & Ride in the theme parks. Earlier this month, the Postman Pat Parcel Post ride at Alton Towers finally closed for good, in a move that left some of its most passionate fans 'devastated'. Located within the park's CBeebies Land, it replaced the former Old MacDonald's Tractor Ride in May 2014.

Cliché is close but no cigar in Commons gay banter

After the Supreme Court's trans ruling, many Pride events have banned political parties this year, so some MPs made do with a Monday night debate on the subject. Cue a bravura performance from the arts minister Sir Chris Bryant, below, who was in his element as he began: 'The Daily Mail once referred to me as an 'ex-gay vicar'. I am an ex-vicar, but the other stuff is coming along quite nicely.' He marked both progress made and the need for more, challenging stereotypes as he went. 'Not all gay men like musicals — I don't understand this, but I've met a few — and apparently not all lesbians enjoy tennis or smoke cigars,' he said. At which, the LGBT MP Rachel Taylor, an ex-line judge at Wimbledon, felt compelled to intervene. In a moment of pure Carry On Commons, she said: 'I would like to put on record that I have never enjoyed a cigar.' An at-first disappointing and then disconcerting sign appeared on Monday at parliament's Jubilee Cafe, which was spotted by Sidney Baginsky. It notified diners of an early closure for a Westminster Hall event, but then added 'we apologies for the incontinence this may cause' (sic). Better not ask what it is in the food that would normally prevent this. With innumerable challenges facing the nation, readers will be reassured to know that our representatives are keeping their eyes on the important things. Politico reports that MPs are obsessively sharing the new Westminster Spotlight League table — a measure of how often they are being mentioned in major publications. Reform are punching above their weight, with two MPs and an ex-MP in the top ten. Kemi Badenoch is the only Tory in that group, while the PM comes third behind Nigel Farage and the chancellor Rachel Reeves. A reminder that not all publicity is good publicity. Shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick came 11th in that list, but he deserves a mention for his completion of the Three Peaks Challenge last weekend, in which he climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours (he completed it with ten minutes to spare). Speaking to PopCon UK on Monday night, he said he was 'a little achy and had eaten a lot of Kendal mint cake'. He may be a climber, but will he get another chance to make a final assault on the summit of the Tory greasy pole? The novelist Tracy Chevalier doesn't often have the pleasure of her husband's company when she researches her novels, which, of late, have been set in places such as Dorset and suburban Washington. She told the Oldie literary lunch that, in a rare exception, he agreed to join her for a jaunt to Winchester, but it seems that Mr Chevalier is hard to please. As they left the ancient and beautiful English city, he said to her: 'Do you think you could set a book some place we actually want to go to?' Happy to report that all is well with the couple, and that Chevalier's latest book is set in Venice.

EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Kate's old pal who runs sex firm ‘bullied' over PTA role

They're both happily married women with three young children, who both attended £58,290-a-year Downe House before bonding in early adulthood while training for The Sisterhood – an all-female crew which rowed a dragon boat across the Channel in record time. But whereas today the Princess of Wales is assured of adoring glances from fellow parents at any school which her children may attend, Emma Sayle inspires rather less adulatory emotions – as the 47-year-old has candidly acknowledged. Indeed, Emma declares that these days she's subjected to 'bullying' by those who are affronted by the fact that she combines running a company which boasts of 'leading the sex club scene' with chairing the parent teacher association at her children's primary school. 'I was roped in during lockdown,' says Emma, adding that it was a 'drunken decision'. 'I thought, 'They're never going to let me – it's a Church of England primary school' and 'I'll last a year'.' In fact, Emma has notched up five years – but not without controversy. Last week she told the podcast On A Mission that 'only yesterday in the hairdresser's' she was berated by a fellow parent. 'She was saying, 'This group of Year Six mums are up in arms about you being the chair of the PTA. You should never [have been] allowed and they can't believe you've been allowed to be for this long, because it's a Church of England school'.' Emma categorises this as 'proper bullying' – but adds that she has learned to laugh about it. Perhaps she should invite fellow parents to subscribe to one of her company Killing Kittens' online workshops – 'Tantric Massage', perhaps, or 'The Art of Spanking?' Bride-to-be stage star's boozy hen She's starred in hit West End musicals including Mamma Mia!, Dirty Dancing and Mean Girls, but Georgina Castle's hen do involved even more drama. The daughter of former tennis ace Andrew Castle could be seen swigging from a bottle on the Greek island of Mykonos before stripping off and jumping in the swimming pool naked with two pals. 'We're having a London wedding in September, which is why I wanted my sun fix for my hen do,' she tells me. Georgina, 32, is due to exchange vows with fellow actor Simon Lipkin, 39, who's currently starring as Fagin in hit show Oliver! The Musical at London's Gielgud Theatre. Making conversation at a dinner hosted by How To Look Good Naked's Gok Wan sounds challenging. 'Throwing a dinner party is up there in my top three [favourite] things in life,' gushes the presenter, 50. 'I genuinely adore it. Mine are extravagant. The table-dress has to be perfect. What type of crockery shall I use? How am I going to take [guests] on a food journey? I'll even have a list of things I want us all to talk about. It's so controlling!' This is not a shaggy dog story, but comedian Jack Dee claims his long-haired Chihuahua, Dolly, knows how to use the TV remote control to find her favourite programmes. 'You'll probably think I'm making this up, but we left Dolly to go out for an hour or two. Left her on the sofa with the telly on. We always find something nice and calm for her to watch – that was on BBC2. When we came back she was watching Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly on Channel 5. And she had the remote next to her. She obviously got her little paws on it. She'd been watching us change channels.' Folk rock star Richard Thompson was the guitarist of Fairport Convention. Now his wife, fellow musician Zara Phillips, hopes to strike a chord with MPs over a historic injustice. She will lead the Forced Adoption Apology Protest in Westminster on July 16 and wants the Government to say sorry to mothers such as hers who had to give up babies between the 1940s and 1980s. 'Their only crime was that they weren't married,' she tells me. Sting's wife can't stand losing tug of war Rock star Sting once boasted about his energetic love life, claiming it involved seven-hour tantric sex sessions. And, at the age of 73, it seems The Police singer still has pulling power, as he proved in a tug-of-war contest with his wife, Trudie Styler, 71, at a summer fete in Wiltshire. Sting, whose real name is Gordon Sumner, was on the winning team. 'Team Sumner 1, Team Styler 0,' says Trudie, who shared a video of the action online. 'We were robbed. Until next time.' Marco Pierre White once kicked 54 people out of his restaurant in one night – and made Gordon Ramsay cry. But things can get even more heated in The River Cafe's kitchen. Lady (Ruthie) Rogers, 76, who owns the fashionable west London eatery, reveals: 'I once had to fire somebody. He behaved so badly, he actually harmed somebody.' Speaking on her podcast, Ruthie's Table 4, she adds: 'He's a great guy, but he had a breakdown. I called him up the next morning and said, 'You gotta come and see me'. I sat down and said, 'What you did last night was crazy. What would you do if you were me?' He said, 'I'd fire me.' I said, 'OK, you're fired,' and that was it.'
