's action-packed spy thriller Kingdom has completed its first week at the box office, keeping a steady pace despite facing both weekday drops and controversy.
The film, which released on July 31, collected an estimated Rs 1.25 crore on its second Thursday, that is Day 8, bringing the total box office collection to around Rs 47.40 crore, according to early estimates by trade analyst Sacnilk.
After a solid opening weekend, the film experienced a gradual decline during the weekdays. On Day 5 (Monday), it brought in Rs 2 crore, then Rs 1.75 crore on Tuesday, Rs 1.5 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 1.25 crore on Thursday.
Theatre occupancy
'Kingdom' had an overall Telugu occupancy of 12.17% on Thursday, with 11.84% for morning shows, increasing to 12.38% in the afternoon and 12.78% in the evening, and then dropping again to 11.67% at night.
Meanwhile, the Tamil version of the film recorded a 12.10% occupancy across shows in Tamil Nadu. Notably, the night shows had the highest turnout at 18.69%, despite earlier reports of protests disrupting screenings in some areas. Morning shows in Tamil regions had a 9.11% occupancy, followed by 15.17% in the afternoon and a dip to 5.41% during evening shows.
