"She's intelligent, and she's seen ..."
In an earlier conversation with Timeout With Ankit, Sanjay reflected on the unpredictable nature of showbiz and how Shanaya has grown up observing both the highs and lows of their family's career graph. 'She's intelligent, and she's seen how I fought it out,' he said.
'It's not a bed of roses. One day you're at your peak, the next day you're sitting at home. But you shouldn't stop chasing your dream because of that fear.'
Shanaya, who was initially set to debut under
Karan Johar
's banner (a project that eventually didn't materialize), is now making her mark not just in Bollywood but also in the South with Vrushabha, a big-budget Telugu-Malayalam film opposite Mohanlal.
"It becomes overconfidence"
Sanjay also opened up about the nervousness actors feel before stepping onto a set, something he believes is natural, even for veterans.
'If you're not nervous, it means you're taking your stardom for granted.

Malayalam rapper and songwriter Hirandas Murali, popularly known as Vedan, is set to make his Tamil cinema debut in director Vijay Milton's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual, tentatively titled Production No. 5. The film, produced by Rough Note Production, features Telugu actor Raj Tarun in the lead, marking his first musical appearance in Tamil cinema. Vedan, known for his politically charged and socially conscious music, rose to prominence with his debut track Voice of the Voiceless in 2020. His work often addresses issues of caste, class, and marginalisation, and he has become a notable voice in Malayalam independent music.
