Shreevats Goswami praised Jasprit Bumrah's yorker to Washington Sudnar, suggesting he should have been picked as India's Test captain over Shubman Gill.
Former Bengal and Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketer Shreevats Goswami wondered whether Jasprit Bumrah's stunning yorker to clean-bowl Gujarat Titans (GT)'s Washington Sundar in the IPL 2025 Eliminator was the 'ball of the season'. He also put up a deeper question, saying that he still felt the Mumbai Indians (MI) star pacer should have been picked as India's Test captain instead of 25-year-old Shubman Gill.
It was a typically excellent yorker from the pacer to the left-handed Sundar. The batter tried to make room, but couldn't get under it in time and ended up with his legs wide open, allowing the rapid ball to go through the gate to crash onto the stumps. Sundar lost his balance, too, and ended up on the floor.

He was vice captain in Australia but once he's not going to be available for all the test matches, I think he's more important to us as a player. We want him fit. There's always that extra burden when you're leading, managing 15-16, other people, there's a lot that it takes out of you," Agarkar said in the pre-series press conference.
