‘Please save us': ‘Spider-Man' wades through flooded Mumbai with toilet wiper to rescue people after heavy rains trigger waterlogging
In the clip, the man, popularly known as the 'Spider-Man of Mumbai' to his 78 lakh Instagram followers, can be seen in full costume navigating waterlogged streets. Armed with a toilet wiper, he gives the impression of trying to clear the flooding.
'Bahout paani khali karna h abhi (I need to clear many flooded areas),' he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

The video left social media users in splits. 'Mission Impossible,' a user wrote. 'Spidey. The entire Mumbai depends on you right now, please save us,' another user commented.

Meanwhile, the heavy downpour also affected Amitabh Bachchan's iconic Juhu bungalow, Prateeksha, too. A video showed ankle-deep water outside the residence.
Following heavy rain on the fifth consecutive day, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), on Wednesday, issued a red alert for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Ratnagiri districts, indicating intense to very intense rainfall spells accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph. As per the data released by the Maharashtra Disaster Management Department, 21 people have lost their lives in rain and flood-related incidents between August 15 and 19.
