'Kuberaa' Box Office Collection Day 8: Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna's crime drama crosses Rs 70 crore mark

Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna's 'Kuberaa' kept a steady run at the box office as it entered its second week. After an impressive debut weekend collection, the film maintained a firm footing all through its first week.
Now, despite a slight dip in weekday footfalls, the film managed to add to it overall collections, pushing its numbers past the Rs 70 crore mark.
According to early estimates shared by trade analyst Sacnilk, 'Kuberaa' earned Rs 2.5 crore on its second Friday (Day 8), taking its total collection to an estimated Rs 71.5 crore. The Telugu version led the earnings with Rs 2.1 crore, with an additional Rs 37 lakh coming in from the Tamil release and Rs 3 lakh earned from the Hindi version.
The numbers suggest that while the film's momentum has slowed slightly, its appeal among Telugu audiences remains solid.
Robust performance in Telugu states
The film ended its first week with an impressive Rs 69 crore total with Rs 48.7 crore from Telugu markets, Rs 18.38 crore from Tamil, Rs 1.72 crore from Hindi, and Rs 20 lakh from Kannada, while the Malayalam version saw no contribution. The strong regional performance has been crucial in pushing 'Kuberaa' towards the Rs 75 crore milestone.

Regionally, Chennai continued to lead in occupancy, registering a remarkable 54.67%, followed by Bengaluru at 28.25%. In comparison, major markets like the National Capital Region (NCR) and Mumbai lagged behind with 19% and 18.5% respectively. Language-wise, the film performed better in Tamil, with an overall occupancy of 26.05%. The Telugu version maintained parity with Hindi, recording a 17.68% occupancy rate. The film has already surpassed Sunny Deol's Jaat, which ended its run at Rs. 120.6 crore. Despite upcoming competition from new releases such as Brad Pitt's F1: The Move and Kajol's Maa, Aamir Khan remains hopeful that Sitaare Zameen Par will sustain its momentum. The actor has been vocal about his commitment to longer theatrical windows. During the film's promotional campaign, Aamir announced that he has no plans to release the film on OTT platforms for at least a year after its theatrical run, going so far as to turn down a Rs 120 crore streaming deal to reinforce his stand.
