Anthea Turner, 64, reveals the secrets behind finding love later in life - and the joys of becoming a 'glam-ma' to her stepdaughter's baby son
Anthea Turner has revealed the secrets behind finding love later in life after she bounced back from a tough divorce to meet her new fiance.
The TV presenter, 64, split from husband-of-15-years Grant Bovey in 2015 but four years later got engaged to Mark Armstrong.
Now she has explained how she remained optimistic through the collapse of her second marriage, having previously been with Peter Powell from 1990 to 1998, and the difficulties of adjusting future plans in her fifties.
She told OK! 'I'm a Gemini, so I'm always optimistic. I always knew that at some point, I'd meet somebody else. But obviously, you don't know when, who. And it's daunting, if you're in your fifties and all of a sudden, whatever you thought your future was, suddenly disappears.
'It depends what stage in your life things happen. I think the older you get, that natural optimism isn't there in the same way. But for me, I've always had a younger attitude. The elixir of youth isn't in a pot of cream. It's in your attitude.'
Her ex Grant's daughter Claudia has recently welcomed a son and Anthea lifted the lid on the joys of becoming a 'glam-ma'.
'We have Dexter in our family now!' she said. 'It's wonderful. Claudia, my stepdaughter, is the happiest I've ever seen her. She's an amazing mum and it's a joy to watch her with James, her partner. It's really lovely seeing someone you love so happy.'
Anthea recently shared the happy news on Instagram with a heartfelt message to Claudia and James.
Posting a sweet snap of her grandson, the former GMTV presenter captioned the post: 'Claudia Bovey you are a star ⭐️
'Love you James for making her so happy Dexter is beautiful. Hugs and Kisses forever.'
She concluded, 'Granny Anth', alongside several emojis.
Anthea also revealed her relationship with all of Grant's three children remained strong despite their divorce and that Claudia even lived with her at one point.
When asked about wedding plans with Mark, she explained that COVID-19 disrupted everything - and tragically, both Mark's mum and her own mum passed away in that period.
She added that two of her stepdaughters got married soon after, meaning their own wedding plans were put on the back burner - but she insisted they'll still get around to it.
With her 65th birthday just a few weeks away, Anthea shared that ageing doesn't bother her in the slightest (pictured aged 32 in 1992)
The TV personality also said their recent break at Sandals Regency La Toc in Saint Lucia had been especially important.
In the interview, she put her age-defying looks down to the occasional Botox and filler but mainly credits ageless features to her skincare brand's Balm 6 product.
The star also revealed she has microneedling treatments with Lynton, a laser company, which she highly recommends.

Scott Wolf's wife of 21 years announces shock SPLIT with cryptic message to fans
After 21 years of marriage, Scott Wolf and his wife Kelley are headed for divorce. The longtime couple wed back in 2004 and are parents to three children. Kelley, 48, confirmed the divorce from the Party Of Five star, 57, in a cryptic Instagram post on Tuesday. 'It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage,' she began in a message to fans. 'This has been a long, quiet journey for me—rooted in hope, patience, and care for our children.' Kelley did not reveal the reason for the split but later spoke about 'healing' and finding 'freedom' in this next chapter of her life. She also referred to Scott as 'one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with' before asking fans to respect their family's privacy. Kelley, 48, confirmed the divorce from the Party Of Five star, 57, in a cryptic Instagram post on Tuesday Kelley's post continued: 'While I will not speak publicly about the details, I feel peace knowing that I've done everything I can to walk this path with integrity and compassion. 'Scott Wolf is one of the best fathers I've ever known and one of the best partners a woman could have the privilege of sharing life with. He is kind, thoughtful, funny, and beautiful in spirit. 'We both look forward to an extraordinary life centered around the most extraordinary children. 'My priority has always been their wellbeing—and my own healing. That will never change. 'I am stepping into a chapter of peace, freedom, and protection—with grace,' Kelley wrote. 'Thank you to the many friends, family, and professionals who have held space for me with love. 'Please respect our privacy during this time. May we all remember: healing isn't loud. It's sacred,' she concluded. Along with her heartfelt words, Kelley included an AI generated image of a lioness with three eagles flying overhead. Scott has yet to publicly address his and Kelley's shock split. Fans immediately flocked to the comments on Kelley's post, with one admitting that they 'sensed [the divorce] was coming.' 'Always sad to hear when a beautiful couple doesn't make it. Peace filled hearts to you both,' another penned. Many marveled at maturity with which Kelley handled the divorce announcement. 'This has to be the most heartwarming conscious uncoupling I've ever read. The depth of thought, compassion, kindness, and maturity should be an example and inspiration to all others parting ways,' one comment read. Just one week prior to Tuesday's divorce announcement, Scott and Kelley celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary. The couple did not publicly honor the milestone on their respective social media pages. The year prior, Kelley made a concerning revelation while paying tribute to Scott on their 20th wedding anniversary. The reality TV star revealed that she 'almost walked out' the relationship early in their engagement when she noticed Scott starting to 'poke at me, challenge me.' 'The first few times, I wrote it off as stress or the beginnings of getting to know somebody's idiosyncrasies,' Kelley wrote. 'But then, I had this feeling come back to me that I had in the past. It was a feeling that I didn't like, and a feeling, I had worked very hard to process, heal, and make sure I noticed when/if it ever came again. 'It was the feeling of self betrayal. It was the feeling of bending myself in order to accommodate another person even when I knew that I had done nothing wrong.' She said that she previously experienced 'this feeling' in a past 'toxic relationship.' 'My old pattern had returned. I was scrambling to make myself more accommodating, less aggravating, whatever it was that seem to be pushing him away. And then I woke up one morning and said 'wait a minute' I've done this game before and I'm not doing this again,' she wrote. Kelley recalled taking off her engagement ring and handing it to Scott before telling him that she 'will not stick around while somebody tries to excavate fault in me.' 'I turned around and walked towards the door. And like I had done before in my life, I was ready to walk out the door with the girl that I promised to save.' When left with the possibility of losing her forever, Kelley said that Scott stepped up and fought for their relationship. 'But, this love story wasn't over. Scott looked at me, and some thing happened… 'He said, "You are really going to leave. I believe you. I can see it. I can feel it. And there is no chance in hell I am going to let that happen, so let's do this,"' Kelley recalled. '"Let's do this hard part, the uncomfortable part. The part where I have to look in the mirror and see my old pattern where I have tried to find fault in somebody in the hopes that I would prove that nobody can really do the hard stuff and stick around."' 'We all know that our patterns come from the things that have happened to us in life. Scott had never been shown what it looked like when LOVE really showed up.' Kelley said that after that moment she and Scott were 'more bonded, more connected, and more clear about the promise we were about to make to each other.' She said their wedding day was full of 'magic' and 'hope' and that her almost walking out the door 'set the stage for so many things' in their 20-year romance. 'Marriage, friendships, relationships of all kinds are a dance. Never to be a straight line. Never without plot, twists, and highs and lows,' she wrote. 'There is one thing we both learned that day, you have to be willing to love yourself the most to truly love somebody else, the most. And yes, like all amazing love stories, we continue to choose the power of love, over and over,' Kelley concluded.

Wynne Evans has admitted he is feeling 'smug' after announcing he is engaged.
