On Saturday, the makers of the film dropped a video welcoming Deepika Padukone on board. The video began with the actress discussing the script with Atlee before they got on the set and started preparing for the movie. From the video, it looks clear that Deepika Padukone will be unleashing her action avatar in AA22xA6. In the caption of the clip, the makers described Deepika as a 'queen" who is ready to 'conquer".

While early rumours hinted that the film might feature a two-hero storyline, Allu Arjun's team recently clarified that the actor will be seen in dual roles, adding another intriguing layer to the film's narrative. The film is set to go on floors in mid-2025, with a grand release planned for 2026.
Interestingly, this comes weeks after Sandeep Reddy Vanga removed Deepika Padukone from Prabhas starrer Spirit. Reports suggest that her demands, including eight-hour workdays, a high salary, and a share in the film's profits, did not sit well with director Vanga. Deepika, a new mother, is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours.
Vanga also took to his X handle and slammed Deepika by accusing her of playing 'dirty PR games'. 'When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, You've 'DISCLOSED' the person that you are…Putting down a Younger actor and ousting my story? Besides Spirit, it is also being said that Deepika Padukone might be removed from Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2. However, since Deepika is 'hellbent" on her working conditions, it is turning out to be a 'big headache" to the makers. Reportedly, she is not willing to adjust her work schedule or other aspects related to her dates. It is for this reason that Nag Ashwin is planning to replace her in the movie. However, there is no official confirmation to this as of now.
