Ahmedabad (AVMA) has added another feather to its cap by scoring an impressive 232 out of 250 in the NABET score for 2025, as announced on May 13. This remarkable achievement places AVMA among the top-tier schools in the country and at the top of the list in the underprivileged category.
Coinciding with the release of the CBSE Grade XII results, AVMA also recorded a stellar 100 per cent pass rate, with all 95 students securing first division. According to AVMA, as quoted by the IANS, students Alvina Roy and Jay Bavaskar led the cohort with an outstanding 97.6 per cent each in the Humanities and Science streams, respectively.
Recognition for inclusive, quality education
The 2025 rating was issued by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) under the Quality Council of India (QCI), further establishing AVMA's position as a leader in inclusive education.
Notably, in 2020, AVMA became the first cost-free school in India to receive NABET accreditation under QCI.
As reported by the IANS, this milestone aligns with the Adani Foundation's mission to provide high-quality education that is inclusive and holistic in nature. AVMA's achievements are a testament to its continued commitment to uplifting underprivileged communities through academic excellence.
National accolades and educational impact
In February, AVMA was declared the 'National Winner' in the category of 'School for Underprivileged/Right to Education (RTE) Implementation' and was awarded the '
Samagra Shiksha Award

This national recognition adds to the school's growing list of honours.
The school currently serves more than 3,000 students across its four campuses located in Ahmedabad and Bhadreshwar in Gujarat, Surguja in Chhattisgarh, and Krishnapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. As quoted by the IANS, AVMA officials noted that the recent CBSE results were 'the icing on the NABET cake.'

Ludhiana: In a shift in school education trends, financial market management (FMM) is rapidly emerging as one of the most sought after subjects in CBSE-affiliated schools across the city. Once limited to higher education and professional programmes, the subject is being embraced by students and schools. Such is the demand that 20 schools in the city have introduced it. Some have introduced it as a subject from Class XI onwards, while others have started offering introduction to financial markets as an optional subject in Classes IX and X. Educators say this development reflects a growing awareness among students and parents about the importance of financial literacy and also the career paths this field opens. Harmeet Kaur Waraich, principal of Nankana Sahib Public School and district CBSE coordinator, said, "In our school alone, about 45 students have opted for FMM in Class XI this year. The subject isn't limited to commerce students anymore — even those from science backgrounds are interested in it. It's a crucial subject. Uttarakhand: Chamoli farmers reap benefits of PM-KISAN scheme, thank central govt
Chamoli (Uttarakhand): Farmers in Uttarakhand's district of Chamoli are witnessing tangible economic improvements, thanks to the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, a flagship initiative of the Central Government that provides direct financial support to small and marginal farmers. Under this ambitious scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually in three equal installments of Rs 2,000, directly credited to their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). To date, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released 19 installments under the scheme, and Chamoli has not remained untouched by its impact. According to official data, 48,664 farmers in the district are actively benefiting from PM-KISAN. The scheme has not only eased the financial burden of farmers but has also contributed significantly to agricultural productivity and self-reliance. IANS visited Chamoli and spoke with several beneficiaries to understand how this initiative has impacted their lives. Hori Lal, a beneficiary, expressed gratitude for the assistance: 'I am getting money under this scheme. I want to thank the central government. It has really helped us.' Harish Lal, another farmer, said, 'This money helps us buy seeds and pesticides. I want to thank PM Modi for bringing such a scheme to life.' Pradeep Kumar echoed similar sentiments, saying, 'I am receiving the money in regular instalments. It's a big help for farmers like us. Thank you to the Prime Minister.' PM-KISAN, launched in 2019, is designed to supplement farmers' incomes. It aims to ensure dignified livelihoods, reduce dependence on informal credit, and boost agricultural efficiency. The transparency and reliability of DBT ensure that the funds reach the intended beneficiaries on time, without middlemen or delays. The latest, 19th instalment was released in February 2025 and benefited more than 9.8 crore farmers across the country, including 2.4 crore women. Earlier, instalments were disbursed in October 2024 and June 2024. With the 20th instalment expected in June 2025, anticipation is building among farmers as the scheme continues to support their efforts on the ground. Though the official release date and location are yet to be announced, it is expected that Prime Minister Modi will again preside over the disbursement ceremony.
