A man has appeared in court accused of murdering a Scots businessman in Kenya.
Alex Mutua denied murdering Campbell Scott on February 16, 2025 in Pipeline when he appeared before Justice James Wakiaga, according to the country's Citizen Digital.
The body of the 58-year-old, from Dunfermline, Fife, was discovered in the Makongo Forest, about 60 miles from Nairobi on February 23, days after the he was reported missing during a work conference, the Daily Record reports.
He was allegedly discovered by local herders with his hands and feet bound in a sack of pineapples which been left in undergrowth.
Mutua was accused of committing the offence alongside other suspects but denied the charges.

Prosecution lawyers told the court that they had filed an affidavit opposing bail, and the court directed them to submit the affidavit within three days formally.
Additionally, the court ordered that a pre-bail report be prepared within 21 days.
Campbell had been in the African nation for a business meeting in the capital Nairobi but was reported missing on February 17.
It is believed he had been tricked and murdered.
One of the suspects wanted for his murder, Samuel Musembi Kamitu, is said to have attempted to take poison before stabbing himself to death in a hideout in Nairobi's Dandora estate.
Other suspects still on the run are Alphonse Munyao Kilewa, alias Edu, and Bernard Mbunga Mbusu.
Mutua is expected to appear in court on June 17 for a pre-trial and a hearing on the bail application.
Campbell's husband Simon Farrar posted on social media last month that he is planning a tribute so friends can pay their respect to the business chief, who has been described as having a 'heart of gold'.
It said: 'The 'Moaning' of Life, a celebration for the life of Campbell Scott.
'In London, Saturday 31st May 2025. More information to follow!!'
Friends were quick to respond, with one writing: 'I miss you Campbell and all the devious laughs we used to have. There is no better medicine that (sic) laughter and you were my pharmacy.'

Co-workers broke down in tears as they struggled to tell stories reflecting on a 'kind man' who had a 'heart of gold'.
He was praised for being a 'genuinely considerate' person by friend and work pal Mike Manaton.
Mike said: 'Campbell is a man who is celebrated by people around the world in many languages on every continent.
'And as I think about my own friendship with him I remember how many of us around the world were privileged to know him and call him a friend.'

Body found in search for missing Cole Cooper as family informed by police

Formal identification has yet to take place after a man's body was discovered in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock at around 4.15pm on Friday, June 6. The grim discovery was made just a 15 minutes walk away from the last confirmed sighting of the teenager. Police Scotland said: "Around 4.15pm on Friday, 6 June, 2025, the body of a man was discovered in a wooded area near Kilsyth Road in Banknock. "Formal identification has yet to take place however the family of missing man Cole Cooper, 19, has been informed. Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances." Detectives investigating his disappearance say he was seen several days later on Wednesday, May 7. He had been at the intersection with Cumbernauld Road, in the Longcroft area. Police said he asked a schoolfriend for a lift around 8.45pm that evening.

East Lothian family 'thought they would die' after waves dragged them out to sea

More info An East Lothian family are urging others to be safe at the seaside after they were left fearing for their lives. Kerry O'Hara and her partner Lewis Patchatt, who live in Athelstaneford, were at Tyninghame Beach with three children on May 24. Just as they were going to leave. Kerry's 12-year-old daughter got back in the water - before they heard screaming. The couple ran in to reach her, and found themselves being dragged out to see. Kerry remembers Lewis telling her he loved her, and that she should save herself. Recalling the terrifying incident, she said: 'It was a beautiful day on this stunning beach, and myself, Lewis and the three kids were all having fun. "The waves were a bit high, and it was a quite windy, but we were only in the sea up to our knees. In the afternoon we were getting ready to leave when my 12-year-old daughter went back into the water. "The next minute we heard her screaming and saying she was stuck. Her feet couldn't touch the ground." Kerry managed to get her daughter and pass her to a man on the beach, before a strong current came and 'took her away'. When she managed to calm herself down, Kerry had been carried out 'a fair distance'. Kerry added: "I was holding onto Lewis who was panicking. We were just trying to keep our heads above water and it felt like an eternity passed. Lewis was telling me he couldn't hold on any longer and he was going to die. "He kept going under and I had to pull him back up. He was telling me he loved me and I should save myself. I was getting frantic because I couldn't leave him and there wasn't a way out. "That's when I saw the man with the surfboard coming and I told Lewis to hang on. The rescuer helped the couple back to the sand, with the RNLI lifeboat from Dunbar Harbour arriving. They administered medical aid to Lewis, who was then airlifted to the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh and treated for water in his lungs. Kerry said: 'If the surfer wasn't there, I think we would've drowned. 'I hadn't seen any danger in the water. I only realised how much trouble I was in when I felt the strength of the current pulling at my legs. I would encourage everyone going to the beach to be aware of riptides and stay vigilant.'
