Aamir Khan has a surprise! Taare Zameen Par to stream free on YouTube but here's the catch
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is gearing up for the sequel of the hit film Taare Zameen Par, titled Sitaare Zameen Par. The film is all set to hit the theaters on June 20, 2025. Ahead of its release, the actor drops a surprise and fans can't keep calm. He confirmed that Taare Zameen Par will stream for free on YouTube. But there's a catch. He added that it will only be available for a week or two.
Yes, you heard that right! According to Bollywood Hungama, at Taare Zameen Par Fan Meetup, the host talked about a boat scene of the film and asked Aamir Khan if the photograph in the room is of his mom and dad. The actor refuted it saying he doesn't know whose parents are there in the pic and it might be Amole Gupte's.
The host then added that he wanted to show the scene but since the 2007 classic isn't available on any streaming platform he couldn't. Hearing this Aamir admitted that it's not available to watch online and dropped a big surprise.
He shared, 'Ek kaam karte hai, I have started a YouTube channel called Aamir Khan Talkies. I'll tell my team that let's upload Taare Zameen Par there free of cost.' The actor further added that, 'It can be available for 1-2 weeks.'
Aamir Khan also praised his co-star Darsheel during the event as per the portal. He shared that when he used to explain the scene, the little boy used to dance all the time. However, the actor wasn't affected as he knew Darsheel was fully absorbing everything. He added that the moment they called for a take, he used to immediately switch to his character.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy-drama film and is all set to hit theaters on June 20, 2025. Apart from Aamir Khan, it also features Genelia Deshmukh, Dolly Ahluwalia, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. It is produced by Aamir Khan, Aparna Purohit, and Ravi Bhagchandka and penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma.

Reports suggested that Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone has been dropped from yet another project, following her infamous fallout with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga over his film, Spirit. But why? It was said that she was dropped out of Kalki 2 due to friction with its lead actor, Prabhas. Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone saw a massive success, minting ₹ 1,042.25 crore worldwide. It also featured Kamal Haasan. Previously reports claimed that the Kalki 2 shoot could be delayed following Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's baby. The two welcomed their baby daughter, Dua Padukone Singh last year. However, Kalki 2 without Deepika isn't possible, as revealed by the director earlier. Nag Ashwin had said that Deepika's role was the backbone of his film. Therefore it would not be possible to make the sequel without her. The fallout between Deepika and Vanga reportedly happened after Deepika who is a new mom, requested an 8-hour workday, which came down to 6 hours of actual shoot. She reportedly also demanded ₹ 20 crore as her salary for the film alongside a share in the film's profits. A source previously told Bollywood Hungama, "Sandeep Reddy Vanga got the shock of his life when Deepika Padukone refused to shoot for more than 6 hours a day for Spirit. That's not all, the actress, via her agency, also started to demand an amendment to the contract. Their point of contention was simple - if the shoot extends beyond 100 days, Deepika will have to be paid extra for every single day of shoot beyond the commitment on paper." Around the same time, Sandeep Reddy Vanga also shared a strong post on X. He wrote, "When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA(Non-Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this, you've 'DISCLOSED' the person that you down a younger actor and ousting my story? Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft & for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn't get it. You won't get it. You will never get it." Later, Deepika was replaced with Triptii Dimri in Spirit, alongside Prabhas.

Aamir Khan recently attended an event for his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, where he discussed Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan's best works, according to his taste. Aamir revealed that he liked early SRK films like DDLJ, and that he hasn't watched his newer movies like Jawan and Pathaan. As for Salman, Aamir picked two films from different genres. Aamir Khan said, 'My favourite performances of Salman's are Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Dabangg. As for Shah Rukh, I really loved Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
