People's Princess Amaya Papaya, Late Breakups, Nicolandria: Fans React to ‘Love Island' Finale
Over the past six weeks, Love Island saw two contestants removed from the show after their digital footprints revealed the past use of racist and derogatory language; multiple closed-off couples were dumped from the Island despite their connections; and production changes to the connection-challenging Casa Amor made the villa feel like a true social experiment, or nature documentary.

How to Watch 'Love Island USA' Season 7 Finale Online
Through all of the highs and extreme lows, viewers were able to see two real love stories make it to the finale. 'Amaya really came out on top fr fr she got jumped by three different men at the same time and they all got sent home back to back and she won the damn season,' one user wrote on X, referring to Amaya Espinal who won Season Seven in her couple with Bryan Arenales. Earlier in the season, Amaya entered the villa as a bombshell and cycled through multiple connections with men who found her emotions and affection overbearing.
During one challenge, her former flames Ace Greene, Austin Shepard, and Zak Srakaew openly criticized her to the point of tears for coming on too strong, despite her giving them each a chance to set their boundaries early on. Arenales, a new addition to the villa from Casa Amor, stepped in to defend her, saying, 'Coming from a Hispanic household, calling someone babe, mi amor, mi vida — that's just how we talk.' 'Amaya and Bryan — both latinos — being the first latino couple to win Love Island USA in the middle of trump's administration MI GENTE LATINO WE WON,' one viewer wrote on X.
Some others were rooting for Amaya Papaya, but remained weary of Arenales. During the finale, while each couple prepared to be sent on their final date, he encouraged fellow Casa Amor holdover Chris Seeley to push through his date with Huda Mustafa despite the clear cracks in their connection. A few viewers read the interaction as Arenales telling Seeley to 'fake it,' but what does it matter when the date ended in a breakup, anyway. Even the singer the show's producers tapped to perform during their date — who emerged at the worst possible time — seemed over it.
'Chris and Huda breaking up during the finale whilst Chelley and Ace (the only real and genuine relationship of the season) was booted right before sums up this garbage and embarrassing season 7 of love island USA,' one viewer said. Mustafa was nearly dumped from the island at multiple points throughout the season, but made it to the final four on the strength of the fans who voted for her, even if they didn't believe Seeley was her match. 'Idc how you feel about Huda, Chris telling the boys he knew he would never marry a girl like her but forcing HER to end it and act like that was all her and how she felt, not him, was little boy behavior,' another viewer said.
'#LoveIslandUSA Season 7 was very unserious. Singles got saved 2-3 times, multiple couples formed a week before the finale and a couple breaks up in the finale episode,' read one user's summation of the season. Included in the recently-formed couples were runner-ups Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe, but viewers with a sharp eye and ample delusion saw the foundation being laid from the very first episode. Vansteenberghe confessing to Carthen during the finale that he kissed her in the blindfold challenge during the first week was the cherry on top.
'If I never experience love again I'll be okay because I got to witness the real-life slow burn. Friends to lovers. Subtle glances across the room. I'm kicking my feet up and sleeping good tonight. #nicolandria forever,' one viewer wrote, while another celebrated in all-caps ferver, 'NICOLANDRIA NATION WE STILL FUCKING WON. WE GOT THEM TOGETHER AND YKW SECOND PLACE AINT BAD. BEING DELUSIONAL GETS YOU PLACES DONT LET PEOPLE TELL YOU DIFFERENT! #LoveIslandUSA.'
Love Island will bring everyone back together for a reunion on Aug. 25 with Andy Cohen and Ariana Madix as hosts.

Eagles Super Bowl champion admits to some Tom Brady apprehension
Classic games often share similar ingredients. Huge stakes are helpful, but they aren't necessary. The bigger the stakes, the bigger the moment, though. The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots once engaged in one of the best Super Bowls ever played. Ask Birds fans, and they may place it among their top two. It helps that the right team came out on top. An exciting and stressful affair offered a night we'll never forget. Super Bowl 52 certainly meets the criteria of a classic. Every masterpiece needs unforgettable scoring plays, a few twists, and great performances by its stars. On February 4, 2018, an underdog Eagles team hoped to topple perhaps the greatest quarterback, coach, and dynasty in NFL history. Chris Long makes his confession about his feelings on the Tom Brady mystique. One day, we'll all be old men and women. We'll tell the grandchildren about the 2017-18 Philadelphia Eagles. If you weren't paying attention then and think this current iteration is stacked with characters, you should do some research on that roster. Philadelphia, the NFC's top-seeded team during the postseason, was often treated as an underdog. They bought dog masks. Fans followed suit, and before you know it, the world's supply had evaporated. They had become impossible to find. One of the leaders of the charge was a former Patriot who had joined the Eagles. Long was recently a guest on the "Green Legion" Radio. Naturally, he was asked about winning a Super Bowl in Philadelphia and his affiliation with both organizations. As always, Long on the microphone provided magic. Before the Eagles took the field to play the Minnesota Vikings for the right to play in Super Bowl LII, he watched as much as he could of the New England Patriots vs. Jacksonville Jaguars clash in the AFC Championship Game. Long admits pulling for the Jags on that Sunday afternoon. He had seen the brilliance of Tom Brady firsthand, and he wanted no part of it two weeks later. He believed facing Jacksonville would provide a smoother ride to the Eagles' first Lombardi Trophy. We all know how that turned out. Ultimately, Long didn't get his wish, but the Birds got the job done. Honestly, that makes for a better story. Had Philadelphia played the Jags and won on football's biggest stage, Birds fans would have appreciated the win, but beating Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the Patriots dynasty means a little more, right? Think about it. To win the franchise's first championship since the NFL/AFL merger, they conquered the QB and coach often viewed as the best pro football had ever seen. To many, their Patriots dynasty is without equal, but on one night in 2018, they met their match. No, scratch that. They found a superior opponent. Long, now with the Birds, would hoist another Lombardi Trophy as green, white, and silver confetti fell. Were those of us who were watching a little apprehensive and afraid? You're doggone right! That's Tom Brady, man! Have you seen all of those clutch moments and all of that elite play? But a classic unfolded, one marked by a heroic performance from Nick Foles. Wordle hints today for #1,501: Clues and answer for Tuesday, July 29
Hey, there! We hope your week is off to a great start. As always, whenever you have a little downtime, there's a fresh game of Wordle ready for you to play. In case you need a little assistance with today's edition, here's our daily Wordle guide with some hints and the answer for Tuesday's puzzle (#1,501). It may be that you're a Wordle newcomer and you're not completely sure how to play the game. We're here to help with that too. What is Wordle? Wordle is a deceptively simple daily word game that first emerged in 2021. There is one five-letter word to deduce every day by process of elimination. The daily word is the same for everyone. Wordle blew up in popularity in late 2021 after creator Josh Wardle made it easy for players to share an emoji-based grid with their friends and followers that detailed how they fared each day. The game's success spurred dozens of clones across a swathe of categories and formats. The New York Times purchased Wordle in early 2022 for an undisclosed sum. The publication said that players collectively played Wordle 5.3 billion times in 2024. So, it's little surprise that Wordle is one of the best online games and puzzles you can play daily. How to play Wordle To start playing Wordle, you simply need to enter one five-letter word. The game will tell you how close you are to that day's secret word by highlighting letters that are in the correct position in green. Letters that appear in the word but aren't in the right spot will be highlighted in yellow. If you guess any letters that are not in the secret word, the game will gray those out on the virtual keyboard. However, you can still use those letters in subsequent guesses. You'll only have six guesses to find each day's word, though you still can use grayed-out letters to help narrow things down. It's also worth remembering that letters can appear in the secret word more than once. Wordle is free to play on the NYT's website and apps, as well as on Meta Quest headsets and Discord. The game refreshes at midnight local time. If you log into a New York Times account, you can track your stats, including the all-important win streak. How to play Wordle more than once a day If you have a NYT subscription that includes full access to the publication's games, you don't have to stop after a single round of Wordle. You'll have access to an archive of more than 1,400 previous Wordle games. So if you're a relative newcomer, you'll be able to go back and catch up on previous editions. In addition, paid NYT Games members have access to a tool called the Wordle Bot. This can tell you how well you performed at each day's game. Cameron Boyce's Mom Reacts to Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore 2 Tribute
Originally appeared on E! Online Libby Boyce was touched by Adam Sandler's tribute to her son. Indeed, Cameron Boyce, who died in 2019 at age 20 after suffering a seizure in his sleep, makes a small appearance in the Saturday Night Live alum's new Netflix movie Happy Gilmore 2. 'Adam always finds a way to keep Cams memory alive,' Libby wrote on Instagram July 27, 'which warms our heart.' She went on to detail the friendship between Adam and Cameron, who starred together as father and son in the Grown Ups movies. 'Adam and Cameron talked quite a bit in the days leading up to his death,' Libby shared. 'Cameron was supposed to be in Hubies [sic] Halloween and they were strategizing. They had a bond I think related to being authentic, funny and just keeping it real.' E! News has reached out to Cameron's family for comment and has not yet heard back. While Adam's inclusion of Cameron in Happy Gilmore 2—a blink-and-you-miss moment of the then-teen star in one of his Disney Channel shows sneakily shown on a TV screen in the background—was celebrated by the family and fans online, it's not the first tribute Adam has paid to his former costar.
