Infinix GT 30 Pro in for review
The gaming phone market is primed for growth, and more Android makers are taking their crack at it. Infinix recently announced its GT 30 Pro and it's coming to India next week. It aims to deliver the gaming phone experience without the hefty price tag. Our review unit made its way to the office and these are our first impressions.
Let's start with the eye test. RGB LEDs – check, touch-sensitive shoulder triggers – check, aggressive back design – check. This is a gaming phone alright.
Our review unit comes in the Dark Flare colorway. The dual-tone approach makes it seem like the device has bezels on the back.
GT 30 Pro comes bundled with a plastic case, a 45W charger and USB cable. We also got the optional gaming kit, which includes the Mag Case and MagCharge Cooler. The latter attaches to the back and features a spinning fan to help with thermals while also emitting additional RGB lighting and charging your device via the USB-C port. And yes, it works on other devices too, even on iPhones.
The phone feels surprisingly light, even though it's almost 190 grams. Its 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED is flat and gets plenty bright. We're greеted with Android 15 with Infinix XOS 15 on top which looks clean and modern and comes with plenty of AI features and the company's Folax assistant.
The internals are handled by MediaTek's Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chipset, which we also saw on the Note 50 Pro+ – a solid midrange chip. That's paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
The back has a 108MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide and a 5,500 mAh battery with 45W wired charging, 30W wireless and bypass charging capabilities. That's all we have to share for now, it's time for the GT 30 Pro to undergo our usual set of tests.

New leak reveals unexpected details about Samsung's upcoming top-tier tablets
Samsung will have a very busy summer, but that has become tradition for the South Korean company, which remains committed to launching two flagship series each year. After introducing the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, Samsung is now gearing up for another major launch, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Besides these two foldables, Samsung is also expected to refresh its flagship tablet series with at least two new models, Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. Rumor has it that the tablets aren't ready for release yet and they're unlikely to hit shelves along with Samsung's new foldables, but that's no surprise considering that most of the company's high-end tablets were announced in fall. Unlike last year when Samsung launched a 'Plus' Galaxy Tab S10 version, this year the South Korean giant decided to limit the series to just two models: Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The former makes a comeback after one year of hiatus, while the latter continues the string of 'Ultra' tablets Samsung launched since 2022. The first information leaked about the Galaxy Tab S11 and Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra indicates that both tablets will be equipped with Dimensity 9400 processors, MediaTek's flagship chipset. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has a 11,200 mAh battery, just like the previous Ultra models | Image credit: PhoneArena New details about Samsung's flagship tablets reveal that at least one of them will have a bigger battery, which is unusual. Ever since Samsung launched the first Ultra tablet, the Galaxy Tab S8, it always included a 11,200 mAh battery. However, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra seems to feature a slightly larger battery. The folks at GalaxyClub found evidence that Samsung's next flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, will have a 11,700 - 12,000 mAh battery. The exact capacity will be announced by Samsung, but the rated capacity of Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is 11,374 mAh. In comparison, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has a rated capacity of 10,880, although the advertised battery capacity of the tablet is 11,200 mAh. This will be the first time that Samsung upgrades the battery of its Ultra tablets. Even if that seems a minor improvement, it makes way for more improvements in future models.
