New iQOO Z10 Lite arrives with a different design and specs

GSM Arenaa day ago
iQOO unveiled the Dimensity 6300-powered iQOO Z10 Lite in June, which is currently available in India. Now, iQOO has introduced a new Z10 Lite with a different design and specs.
For starters, the new iQOO Z10 Lite is powered by the Snapdragon 685 SoC, meaning no 5G support. The smartphone runs Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 out of the box and comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, but storage expansion is not possible due to the lack of a microSD card slot. vivo iQOO Z10 Lite 5G
The new iQOO Z10 Lite's display is also different. It packs a 6.67" screen, while the previous model is built around a 6.74" display. However, it's worth mentioning that the Dimensity model came with a 90Hz HD+ LCD having 1,000 nits brightness, while the Snapdragon version comes with a 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED panel having 1,200 nits typical brightness and 1,800 nits of peak brightness.

The battery capacity of the new iQOO Z10 Lite remains the same as the previous version, at 6,000 mAh, but it charges faster: 44W vs. 15W. Regarding photography, the new iQOO Z10 Lite features three cameras - an 8MP selfie camera on the front and a dual camera setup on the rear comprising 50MP primary (Sony IMX582) and 2MP depth units. The previous Z10 Lite sported a 5MP front-facing camera.
The rest of the new iQOO Z10 Lite's highlights include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 and IP69 ratings, underwater photography support, and wet-hand support for the screen. The smartphone also features stereo speakers.
If the new iQOO Z10 Lite feels familiar, that's because it's a version of the vivo Y400 4G, which was introduced in Indonesia last month.

The new Z10 Lite comes in Taiga and Glacier colors (machine translated from Russian) and has two memory options - 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The smartphone is listed on iQOO's Russian website, but its pricing and availability details aren't mentioned.

Poco M7 4G arrives with a familiar set of specs

Vlad, 13 August 2025 A few hours ago, Poco made the M7 Plus official, but the brand had also prepared a bit of a surprise to go along with it: the Poco M7 4G. Not to be confused with the M7 5G, which launched back in March, the 4G-only model has appeared in Poland and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 685 4G SoC. This is paired with either 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, or 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. MicroSD cards up to 2TB are supported for expansion. The phone sports a 6.9-inch 1080x2340 LCD screen with 144Hz refresh rate, 288Hz touch sampling rate, and 850-nit peak brightness, a 50 MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1080p video recording support, and an 8 MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording. The lights are kept on by a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, but the phone isn't sold with a charger in the box (at least in Europe). There's also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and IP64 dust and water resistance. The M7 4G runs Xiaomi's HyperOS 2. It measures 171.08 x 82.05 x 8.55 mm and weighs 224g. If all of these specs feel familiar, that's because they're nigh-on identical to those of the recently released Redmi 15 4G.

Poco M7 Plus introduced with 7,000 mAh battery

Poco has launched a new budget smartphone in India called Poco M7 Plus 5G. It is the latest M series phone and succeeds the M6 Plus, which debuted in August 2024. The Poco M7 Plus houses a massive 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 33W charging and 18W reverse charging. In line with the recent trend of brands touting the "slimmest" phones in specific categories, Poco claims the M7 Plus is the thinnest handset with a 7,000 mAh battery, measuring just 8.4mm. Poco's new M series phone features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ LCD that refreshes at 144Hz. It has 550 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The display features a punch-hole cutout for the 8 MP front camera. The M7 Plus is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage. Thankfully, the phone gets a microSD slot for storage expansion up to 2TB. It has a dual rear camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor and an unknown secondary unit. You do get a couple of AI features such as AI Dynamic Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Sky replacement. The phone runs Android 15-based Hyper OS and is promised to receive two years of OS updates with four years of security patches. Poco is also offering Google Gemini on the device. The Poco M7 Plus 5G offers an IP64 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and weighs 217g. It is available for purchase in India in Aqua Blue, Carbon Black, and Chrome Silver colors. Prices start at INR 13,999 ($160) for the 6 GB/128 GB model, while the 8 GB/128 GB variant costs INR 14,999 ($170). The phone will go on sale in India starting August 19. Source

vivo Vision launch event confirmed

Michail, 13 August 2025 The first Mixed Reality (MX) headset from vivo is launching on August 21. The brand confirmed the details via Weibo and shared some additional teasers ahead of the event. The device will feature a similar design to Apple's Vision Pro with a metal construction and a visor housing the displays. We also get a glimpse at the digital crown element, which will be used for controlling the headset's opacity. We can also see the knit light seal and band around the back. Hong Yi, General Manager of vivo Smart Device Products, shared a few additional details about the device. It will be as immersive and precise as the Apple Vision Pro, featuring true three-dimensional controls – likely hand gestures just like on Apple's headset. Yi also shared that vivo's headset will feature an ultra-lightweight design. Sadly, the vivo Vision will not be a mass-market product right away. Instead, the headset will be available as an experience at vivo stores across China, allowing users to reserve and test the device and its spatial computing capabilities. Source (in Chinese)
