NFL player Jake McQuaide causes scene in church, demands answers in archdiocese porn scandal—escorted out by police

NFL long snapper Jake McQuaide challenges church mid-Mass over shocking porn claims, gets removed (Getty Images) NFL players often make headlines for their performances on the field, but former Rams long snapper Jake McQuaide made waves for a completely different reason — and in a place far from any football stadium. On a quiet Saturday morning at Our Lady of the Visitation Church in Green Township, Ohio, McQuaide stood up during Mass and demanded answers from the Cincinnati Archdiocese regarding troubling rumors about clergy misconduct. Tense moment as NFL's Jake McQuaide interrupts church to confront clergy in pornography scandal probe It was an extraordinary moment for a man whose professional career has been built on consistency and discretion. Long snappers rarely find themselves in the spotlight, but McQuaide — a two-time Pro Bowler and veteran of 14 NFL seasons — didn't hesitate to speak out when he felt silence had gone on long enough. The confrontation occurred as Jason Williams, chancellor of the Cincinnati Archdiocese, was reading a prepared letter from Archbishop Robert Casey. The letter addressed controversial claims that two priests had allegedly accessed pornography using a parish computer. While the statement emphasized that 'no wrongdoing — either criminally or ecclesiastically — has been substantiated,' McQuaide wasn't content to let the issue rest there. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo Ex-Rams long snapper sparks chaos in Mass, demands justice in archdiocese's porn scandal (Credit: USA Today Sports) 'Please take a second. We want to put these rumors to rest. Can you answer this for me, fact or fiction?' McQuaide asked, invoking the spirit of Sister Aloysius from the 2008 film Doubt. He continued, 'Did the priest use our parish computer to look at pornography? …True or false? True or false?' "You can look at pornography at your house, but you cannot do it here.' A tense moment unfolded in the sanctuary as churchgoers looked on. When someone at the altar suggested it wasn't the right time or place, McQuaide responded, 'I'm sorry, sir, this is the time and the place. I will stand up.' His outburst was met with swift action — two Green Township police officers escorted him out. However, no charges were filed. At the center of the controversy is a report made earlier this year by church member Todd Zureick. According to a WCPO investigation and a report in the Cincinnati Enquirer, Zureick claimed to have seen explicit thumbnails and links to disturbing VR role-play content involving sexual assault and occult themes on a church-owned laptop. The allegations were serious enough to merit an internal investigation, but the church maintained that nothing criminal or ecclesiastically inappropriate had been found. 'Like gossip, the spreading of rumors is sinful, and we should all work to overcome this tendency of our fallen human nature,' the letter from Archbishop Casey read. Yet for McQuaide, who grew up in the area and attended Elder High School — a Catholic institution within the same diocese — the issue seemed too serious to ignore. With 197 NFL games under his belt, and a reputation built on discipline and precision, McQuaide's decision to speak out publicly speaks volumes about his personal convictions. Disabled man in Haryana village raped minors, uploaded videos on pornographic websites: CBI

Hisar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a common service centre (CSC) operator in a village here for allegedly raping minor girls and uploading their videos to pornographic websites. Somnath (40) lives is disabled, having been unable to walk since birth. He is unmarried. A police official told TOI on Wednesday that a CBI team carried out the action on Tuesday. The CBI later issued a press statement confirming the arrest. Officials did not reveal the number of children targetted by the accused and the charges that have been pressed against him. According to CBI, Somnath had a disturbing interest in child exploitation, actively searching for and collecting abusive material online. He allegedly created his own videos and photos, shared them with friends, and uploaded them to the internet. The investigation began with a case registered against Somnath on May 29. CBI officials conducted a thorough inquiry, interviewing survivors and their families while advising them to keep the investigation confidential to prevent alerting the suspect. The CBI used the International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) database from Interpol to trace images and videos of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which were also linked to reports from Google's cyber tipline. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo After a detailed examination of the evidence with cyber forensic tools, investigators confirmed that pornographic content was produced in Hansi, revealing multiple instances of sexual abuse against minors. On Tuesday, CBI executed a search warrant at Somnath's residence, where they uncovered substantial digital evidence, including clear photos and videos. The survivors were identified as those who were recently assaulted by the accused. CSCs are the access points for delivery of essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education and agriculture services. Allegations of Grooming and Exploitation Villagers described Somnath as a familiar figure in the community, running a CSC where he allegedly lured young girls with toffees and chocolates. He reportedly used the centre to attract children, offering them food and treats, before committing his crimes. Witnesses claim that he would take the girls inside the shop, where he would engage in inappropriate acts, record the incidents, and subsequently blackmail his targets. Somnath has two sisters, who grew up in an orphanage and have since married. They don't live in the same village. Despite his physical limitations, villagers noted that Somnath was liked and friendly, which contributed to the community's initial disbelief regarding the allegations against him.

CBI Arrests Man For Child Sexual Assault, Exploitation Of Minor Girls

New Delhi: CBI has arrested a man from Hisar, Haryana, in connection with a case of sexual assault and exploitation of minor girls. The accused, identified as Somnath, allegedly raped multiple children and shared child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online, the agency said. CBI detected the instance of child sexual abuse on its own. Until the registration of the case, the survivors or their families had not reported the crimes to any law enforcement agency. The agency detected the objectionable material uploaded by the accused through Interpol's database and corroborated it with the cyber tipline reports generated by Google. "The analysis of the images and videos using cyber forensic tools revealed the location of the incidents as Hisar in Haryana, depicting multiple victims of sexual assault and abuse by the accused," CBI spokesperson Beena Yadav said. The agency proceeded with caution, speaking to the families through counsellors. An FIR was registered, and the accused booked for creating, browsing, collecting, possessing, exchanging and uploading CSAM. The FIR accused Somnath of depicting children in sexual acts in electronic form, besides storing pornographic material involving children. "Searches were conducted by CBI at the residential premises of the accused on June 3, which led to the recovery of incriminating electronic gadgets as well as the identification of multiple victim children who were raped, sexually assaulted, threatened and used for pornographic purposes over the past few years," the spokesperson added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo The accused, who has a physical disability, was arrested the same day and produced in court. In 2019, the agency set up an online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Prevention/Investigation Unit in New Delhi under its Special Crime Zone. The agency has since launched multiple drives to dismantle international networks and people involved in online child sexual exploitation. Operation Carbon in 2021, Op Megh Chakra in 2022, and, most recently, Op Hawk were conducted as part of its effort of rapid response to online child sexual exploitation cases with international linkages, and to trace accused, suspects and conspirators across international jurisdictions, requiring a globally coordinated law enforcement response. The International Child Sexual Exploitation database has been instrumental in identifying over 42,000 victims and 18,000 abusers worldwide, with India playing a key role. Last month, the agency caught two suspects who were using Discord to exploit minor girls from the US, inducing and intimidating them to share obscene content.
