'Mega comfy' Skechers that are 'like wearing slippers' 55% less in Amazon deal
As we head into autumn, a pair of trainers will most likely be a fashion essential. Whether worn casually or with something dressier, the right design can be worn time and time again.
Of course, it's not just about style, as they also need to be comfortable. For that exact reason, Skechers is a no brainer, and we have spotted one "mega comfy" pair going for better than half price.
The footwear firm's Flex Appeal 4.0 Brilliant View Sneakers are currently going for just £28.50 on Amazon, down from the regular £64, offering an impressive saving of 55 per cent off the original asking price.
It is worth mentioning that the online retailer's discount covers only the black with rose gold trim colourway, with sizes ranging from a two through to 10, with half-sizes also included.
Crafted from a light mesh material, they also feature a shock-absorbing midsole and flexible rubber traction outsole, making them suitable for avid fitness buffs who go to the gym or running.
Amazon isn't the only place to bag a discount on some new trainers, as Nike is offering its own sale, with the sports firm's Air Zoom Upturn SC reduced from £89.99 to £53.99, a saving of 40 per cent.
Looking for something a touch more affordable, yet still sporty? Then Sainsbury's has a range of designs on offer, with the supermarket's Navy Knitted Slip-On Trainers costing just £18 a pair.
Owing to Skechers' popularity, the Flex Appeal Flex Appeal Trainers have garnered almost 13,000 Amazon reviews, with praise from shoppers saying they are "so light" they "don't know they are wearing them."
One enthusiastic shopper said: "Mega comfy. First time wearing I walked for miles. Extremely comfortable, highly recommend."
A second positive review read: "These are great trainers, so light and comfortable, feels like you're wearing slippers!"
Another shopper with similar thoughts wrote: "Fantastic trainers feel like a pair of slippers don't Know you're wearing them. Lightweight and support your feet."
Fashion deal of the week
Looking for a jacket deal ahead of the upcoming autumn season?
Then Debenhams has just dropped a staggering 50 percent off the "weather resistant" TOG24 'Marina' Softshell Long Jacket by half-price, reducing the cost from £120 to just £60.
Fashion fans looking for something both stylish and practical will appreciate this jacket thanks to its long, sleek design that can be worn everywhere from walking the dog to a trip to the shops.
The gently elasticated jacket is said to be "resistant" to wind and rain, with micro-fleece bonding on the inside to prevent any cold air from making its way in, ensuring the weather feels "super cosy."
Finished with two handy side zip pockets that keeps hands warm and smaller essentials safely stored, the softshell jacket offers a smart aesthetic that is ideal for travelling, a trip to the office, or protecting an outfit on a night out.
So far, the TOG24 Jacket is still available to buy in sizes eight through to 24, with the 50 per cent discount covering all three colours - dark grey, khaki and black.
Raving about their purchase, one shopper said: "One five-star review read: "Great coat for the in between weather and showers. Have been wearing it loads and love the green colour as it goes with everything and is a nice change from black and grey that I normally would buy."
Shop Debenhams' half-price deal on the TOG24 'Marina' Softshell Long Jacket that is now down from £120 to £60.
The design may not be suitable for those with pain-related issues that require extra support, as one three-star review read: "I have plantar fasciitis so will need to revert to the arch fit style. Look lovely though."
Meanwhile, another happy customer said: "I will only wear Skechers trainers as they are the comfiest and longest wearing trainers. These trainers are great.
"I had concerns over sizing as I have never purchased trainers through Amazon before. The fit is perfect and true to size. Comfy from first wear! Bought them for under £40, bargain!"
now.

Google unveils new Pixel 10 - this older phone is hundreds cheaper on launch day
One retailer has cut a huge £250 off the price of the phone and it's still packed with high-end features from its 2024 launch Google's much-anticipated Pixel 10 smartphone is set to be unveiled today, August 20. The new device will be showed off at 6pm UK time at the Made By Google event, packed with new features and expected improvements on the previous model. As with any new mobile range, along with the likes of Apple and Samsung, Google's newest device will come with a flagship price, expected to sell upwards of £799. But if you want a top-of-the-range new smartphone in your hands right away, the Pixel 9 has a hefty discount on Amazon right now. Usually going for £799, the highly-rated device is available for 31 per cent off, at £549. A year older than its newest Pixel 10 sibling, the device was only launched this time last year, making it an ideal model to consider. With a 6.3-inch screen and front and rear cameras, according to the item description, it can run for 24 hours on a single charge - and can be charged wirelessly. It features a rear 50 megapixel (MP) camera, which can record video in 4K, and a front 10.5MP camera. The phone also features AI photo editing and Gemini, Google's AI assistant. The £549 model has 128GB of memory - a 256GB version is also available, currently at £649, down from £899. It's available in four colours - obsidian, peony, porcelain, and wintergreen. The Google Pixel 9 is also available through Three, for £529. Contract deals of 12, 24, and 36 months are also available, with monthly payments depending on a one-off up-front payment. It's currently out of stock online. The phone is also available through Carphone Warehouse on a contract plan. The cheapest offer for the 128GB model is currently £19.99 per month with a £99 upfront cost with iD Mobile. This includes 25GB of data, as well as unlimited minutes and texts. Other deals are available, some of which are bundled with Google Pixel Buds or a Google Pixel Watch. The Google Pixel 9 has a 4.4 out of five rating on Amazon, with 590 reviews. One read: "I am very happy with this phone, it is so easy to use. "It has interesting features I didn't have on my previous iPhone. The design is beautiful, and the interior design of icons is very logical and well organised. And for me, the most important function, the camera is amazing, and the photos look so professional." Another praised the phone's suite of features, saying most were superior to those available on Apple's products. "The fingerprint sensor is super fast and accurate," they said. "Way better than Face ID. Super easy transfer of messages photos videos from iPhone with the built-in setup. "Bluetooth works instantly with headphones and cars. No messing around in settings. And I love the 120hz display on the regular model, not like Apple, saving that for only the pro phones. Screen brightness is plenty. Works great on the beach with the UK's August temps rn. And the Google Maps GPS is super quick to reroute compared to my iPhone. Haven't had any major signal issues like the Pixel 8 series, so hopefully this is now fixed. "Where this phone really shines is with the pixely stuff. Now playing automatically detects songs in the background and shows them in real time, even without the internet. Flipping the device silences notifications. Amazing. And the cameras are good, but where they shine is with the software magic and AI." A third said: "Fantastic phone at an amazing price. Had the Google 7 pixel pro. Loved it, but this phone is much more substantial. "It came with a huge discount. Fast delivery. Can't fault it at all." But another customer called it "total rubbish". "The fingerprint sensor doesn't work, it's so slow, and you have to do it three or four times before it opens," they said. "Gemini is truly awful. You ask it to identify a song, sometimes it works fine. Others it tells you it can't even identify songs. For nearly £800, it's not really acceptable to launch a product which is a few software updates away from working." Another said: "Changed from Samsung and it's my biggest regret. Actual phone is ok, but the camera is rubbish, the pictures are not true colours, my big red van, for example, is rust orange. I've reset everything, I've Googled, and it's still the same. Sent feedback to Google and got nothing, if it could return it tomorrow I would." But another said: " Feels great, looks great. Nice and responsive four months in and definitely my favourite phone I've ever had over the years."
