'The report, prepared by a special task force, would be tabled to seek the Cabinet's views before further action is taken,' he told a press conference here today.
The task force comprises experts and representatives from key related agencies, and is chaired by the ministry's Chief Air Accident Inspector Brig Gen Tan Chee Kee.
In the 8.50 am incident on May 13, nine personnel were killed when the FRU truck they were travelling in collided with a lorry carrying gravel stones on Jalan Chikus-Sungai Lampam, Teluk Intan while returning to their base in Sungai Senam in Ipoh. — Bernama

Results of 2025 SPM repeat examination out tomorrow
KUALA LUMPUR: The results of the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Ulangan (SPMU) Examination will be out tomorrow, according to the Ministry of Education (MOE). It said that a total of 10,049 candidates had registered to sit for the repeat examination at 186 examination centres nationwide. 'Candidates can check their 2025 SPMU examination results from Aug 21 to Aug 27 between 10 am and 6 pm,' it said in a statement today. He said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said will present the proposal to the Cabinet. 'We will discuss it in the Cabinet,' he told reporters after attending the Finance Ministry's Monthly Assembly here today. Also present were Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan and Treasury secretary-general Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican. Azalina was previously reported as saying that the government is studying the need to enact an Anti-Bullying Act, with emphasis on setting up a tribunal to hear cases involving students and children. She said that currently, there is no specific definition or clear penalty for bullying offences under existing laws. 'The word 'bullying' is not specifically defined in the Penal Code, but I am somewhat relieved that we have amended and introduced Sections 507B to 507G of the Penal Code,' she was quoted as saying at an event yesterday. While addressing the Ministry of Finance monthly assembly, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said every approach implemented must be fair by taking into consideration the people's needs and, as such, the government will continue to listen to and examine all views through ongoing dialogue.
