Bill Belichick reveals truth on Jordon Hudson viral email
(NewsNation) — Bill Belichick shed background on the email that went viral about his girlfriend Jordon Hudson's role with the University of North Carolina football team, according to a report.
Belichick on 'The Pivot' podcast with ESPN's Ryan Clark last week said he requested that Hudson, 24, be copied on all emails sent to him because he had nobody to assist him at the time.
'We didn't have a sports information guy,' Belichick explained. 'Because all emails are shared publicly, that was taken as Jordon's running the sports information department. And that also led to a narrative, which is just totally — she's not doing it. I mean, there was nobody to help me sort it out, so I was asking her to do it.'

Earlier this month, word had surfaced that Hudson had been banned from football facilities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. That rumor was quickly negated by the university.
'While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities,' the school wrote in a statement. 'Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick's personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.'

Belichick's relationship with Hudson has been raising eyebrows after a wide-ranging interview last month went sideways.
Hudson shut down questioning when Belichick was asked questions about their relationship. Reports surfaced afterwards that she stormed off set numerous times, caused delays and interrupted the interview several times.
Belichick and Hudson have been associated for nearly five years and are in a personal relationship.
The two met while on a flight from Massachusetts to Florida in February 2021. They were seated next to each other and struck up a conversation.
Hudson has been seen at several sporting and NFL-related events with Belichick.

Josh Grizzard is Baker's "new" offensive coordinator, but he was the passing game coordinator under Liam Coen last season, so it won't be entirely new for Mayfield. Plus, with the improvement on Irving, McMillan, and Godwin, hopefully back for more than seven games, and then we add in Egbuka. Will that mean he falls apart after a career-best season that saw him throw 41 touchdowns and 4,500 yards? Time will tell. However, we believe that if Mayfield does indeed "fall apart," Tampa Bay won't make the playoffs as division winners. Advertisement This nightmare scenario is a little odd, with Mayfield now having two full seasons of evidence to suggest that his decline might not be as rapid as most expect.
