Advocate Anjali Awasthi
, recently undertook a meaningful personal journey, visiting two of India's prominent Jyotirlingas — the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi and the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain — during the auspicious month of Shravan.
'India is home to several beautiful and tranquil Shiva shrines,' says Ankit. 'I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to visit and seek blessings at the Kashi Vishwanath and Mahakaleshwar temples. These are among the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.'
This year, the experience held deeper meaning for him. 'Being at these sacred places in the month of Mahadev truly felt like a blessing — as if Bholenath himself called me there,' he shares.
His visit to Kashi was with fellow actor and friend Anshul Bammi, while the Ujjain trip became a family moment. 'The Mahakaleshwar temple is well-known for its Bhasma Aarti, which takes place early in the morning. It's an experience that stays with you — the underground sanctum, the energy of the place.
.. it's unforgettable.'
He adds, 'For me, Sawan is not just a month — it's a reminder of where our strength comes from, the power of a mother's prayer, and the grace that guides us.'
Ankit has earlier been seen in shows like Dadi Amma… Dadi Amma Maan Jaao!, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Rabb Se Hai Dua, Jodha Akbar and Meri Doli Mere Angana.

Viral video shows riderless bike circling ‘maut ka kuan' after performer falls at ‘Sawan' fair in UP

A dramatic incident at the Sawan fair in Maharajganj's Panchmukhi Shiva Temple left visitors stunned on Monday evening, after a stunt went horribly wrong inside the infamous 'Well of Death' (Maut Ka Kuan). A performer lost control and was thrown off his motorcycle mid-act. The bike, however, didn't stop. In a bizarre twist, it kept circling the cylindrical structure on its own for nearly an hour, drawing gasps from the crowd. The mishap occurred in the Itahia area under Thuthibari Kotwali police limits, where the temple fair is being held as part of the Sawan festivities. A video of the moment has since gone viral, capturing the riderless motorcycle racing along the vertical walls while spectators watched in disbelief. The clip also shows two cars and several individuals still inside the structure as the bike continued its haunting loop. A post shared by Brut India (@ Authorities stepped in soon after. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Nand Prakash Maurya confirmed that while the fair had official clearance for swing rides, no permission was granted for the stunt show. 'The stunt arena was set up arbitrarily by the ride operator without specific permission,' Maurya told The Times of India. 'On Monday, a youth performing inside the well fell and sustained injuries during the stunt.' In response to the incident, officials have shut down the Well of Death and issued strict safety instructions for the remaining rides at the fair. The 'Maut Ka Kuan', often referred to as the 'Well of Death' or 'Wall of Death', is a high-adrenaline stunt show commonly seen at traditional fairs and carnivals. In this act, performers on motorcycles, and occasionally in cars, speed around the inner walls of a giant vertical cylinder. Relying on centrifugal force, they manage to cling to the near-vertical surface, giving the illusion of defying gravity and leaving spectators both thrilled and amazed.

Lion tastes lettuce for 1st time, its reaction goes viral; netizens quip ‘during saawan': Viral video

A lion was fed lettuce in a viral video, and his hilarious reaction to it has captivated the interest of social media users. The King of the Jungle, a known carnivore, mistakenly took a bite of the lettuce in the video, and the reaction was pure gold. In the viral video, the lion can be seen sniffing the lettuce before taking a small bite of it. However, the lion hated how it tasted and made a face of disgust as he realised, rather painfully, that it was not the meal he was planning to have. The viral video was shared with the caption, "This lion took one bite of lettuce… and instantly regretted every life decision. The face says it all—definitely not the meal he had in mind." "Lesson learned: kings don't do salads," they added. Netizens were thrilled to see the lion's reaction to lettuce and said it is 'animal abuse' to give a carnivore veggies. Several social media users also made jokes about the situation. 'Perhaps a salad ??? Lion: Perhaps not!' a user quipped. ''My cat is vegan and loves his veggies!' The cat:' said another. Another added, 'I feel you kitty…I feel the pain.' 'He probably thought it was poison. That face said 'this is not edible,'' said a user. 'That's a little dramatic!' exclaimed a user. 'Wear a lettuce suit and now I'm lion proof,' one user joked. Some Indian netizens also invoked the holy month of Sawan as they joked about their 'life during Sawan.' 'Lions during Shravan,' another added. Non-vegetarians had the time of their lives when they associated with the lion and said, 'Sher ghaas nahi khate!' 'When the doctor tells you to change your diet,' joked a user. Another said, 'Every hard-core non-vegetarian's reaction.' 'I knew there is a lion inside me,' added another.
