T-Mobile introduces its Perplexity AI-powered T Phone 3 and T Tablet 2
It is joined by the T Tablet 2, which also goes all-in on the AI front. Both devices come with a dedicated Perplexity AI assistant, which aims to replace the traditional app interface found on regular smartphones. The accompanying press release clarifies that the AI assistant accomplishes tasks via interfaces to pre-installed apps. T Phone 3
The T Phone 3 features a 6.58-inch LTPS LCD (FHD+ 120Hz) and is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. You also get a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W charging and IP54 ingress protection. There's a 50MP main cam around the back alongside a 2MP macro shooter, while the waterdrop notch on the display houses a 13MP selfie shooter.
T Phone 3 boots Android 15 with Magenta AI on top. T-Mobile is pledging 3 Android upgrades and 6 years of software support. The more interesting bit is the Perplexity AI assistant, which allows you to do anything you'd normally do on your smartphone without jumping between apps.
Users can ask the assistant to compose and send emails and messages, translate text, make appointments or help with online shopping. You can also use the camera to search or ask the assistant to help you with items on your screen.
T Phone 3 comes in Icy Silver and is priced at €149. It will also be available for free with certain monthly plans from the carrier.

T-Mobile customers suddenly have better coverage in some areas
UScellular is now a part of T-Mobile, and customers are already benefiting from the merger. Earlier this month, T-Mobile completed the acquisition of UScellular's wireless operations and spectrum assets. It also welcomed four million of the latter's customers to its network. While many stakeholders had opposed the transaction, for now, it appears to be beneficial for both sets of customers. T-Mobile and UScellular customers are now enjoying better coverage due to an improved roaming experience. T-Mobile customers can now access UScellular's network Carriers purchase roaming services from other wireless providers to ensure their customers aren't left without coverage in areas where they don't have infrastructure. UScellular mainly focused on rural areas and had reciprocal roaming agreements with many companies. T-Mobile was an exception, as even though it allowed customers of rural carriers to use its network, it didn't let its customers do the same. However, since T-Mobile now owns UScellular, that barrier no longer exists. As a result, T-Mobile customers can now connect to UScellular towers in areas that previously were dead zones for course, the question remains of whether T-Mobile will honor the roaming agreements UScellular had with other rural companies, though it's not legally required to do so. When T-Mobile announced the completion of the transaction, it revealed that not only would UScellular's customers benefit from its network, but the same would be true for T-Mobile customers who pass through UScellular's footprint. In the coming month, T-Mobile and UScellular's networks will be merged and will function as one for an even better experience. That's because even T-Mobile and UScellular have formally joined forces, their networks have not yet been integrated, so for now, their customers can only look forward to extended roaming capabilities for no additional charge. Before the purchase, UScellular customers only had limited roaming access to T-Mobile 's network. All in all, this is a win-win, with customers keeping their existing plan and having their existing network coverage with the added benefit of expanded coverage from one more network.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra could have the same main camera sensor as the Galaxy S26 Ultra
Vlad, 16 August 2025 The upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra has already been rumored to sport a new 200 MP main camera, and today prolific Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station has shed light on which sensor it will use. It turns out it's the one that Sony is developing - with 200 MP resolution and a 1/1.1" type size. That's not quite 1-inch type, but pretty close. Oppo Find X8 Ultra Intriguingly, Samsung has been rumored to have chosen this exact sensor to use in the Galaxy S26 Ultra's main camera. If all of these rumors pan out, we'll have an interesting situation next year when both the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Find X9 Ultra arrive, as they will compete against each other while using the same main camera sensor. Well, in theory at least - if the Find X9 Ultra isn't officially sold outside of China (and that's definitely not outside the realm of possibility), then given Samsung's minuscule market share in China, the two won't really compete head-to-head anywhere. Anyway, the Find X9 Ultra will launch after the Chinese New Year (which falls on February 17). DCS says it might arrive a little bit sooner than its predecessor, which was unveiled on April 10, so if we were to bet we'd go with an unveiling sometime in March. Source (in Chinese)
