UAE Team ADQ's Maeva Squiban won her second stage in as many days at the Tour de France Femmes on Friday, as AG Insurance-Soudal Team's Kim Le Court saved her yellow jersey after being dropped.
23-year-old Squiban pulled away from the leading group and chaser Mareille Meijering (Movistar) on the final climb of the day before hitting speeds of more than 70 kilometers per hour as she descended to Chambéry, maintaining a gap of around a minute in the finale.

Le Court, meanwhile, was dropped by the chasing group on the final climb — the category two Col du Granier — but rode her way back on the descent to finish sixth, maintaining her lead as the top five in the general classification head into the final weekend with unchanged time gaps.
There were no changes to the leaders of the general, points, and mountain classifications.
Friday's stage — 159.7km from Bourg-en-Bresse to Chambery — was also the second stage in a row that French riders finished first and second.
Soraya Paladin (CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto) crashed early on and was taken to hospital, forcing her to retire from the Tour after putting in strong efforts for her team and leader Chloe Dygert. The number of withdrawals now has hit 23 after seven days.
Stage eight on Saturday will mark the start of a tough weekend of reckoning for the GC riders in the mountains to conclude the Tour. The peloton go from Chambery to Saint-Francois Longchamp via the gruellinig Col de la Madeleine climb.
Unfortunately, @SorayaPaladin has crashed and is unable to continue. She's been taken to hospital for further assessment. 🤞💔#TDFF2025 pic.twitter.com/9bQE31Sm0H

Barcelona rebel emerges as transfer option for PSG

In a development that could be a welcome boost for Barcelona, it appears that Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly eyeing a move for Barcelona rebel Marc-Andre ter Stegen. According to Fichajes, the reigning Champions League winners are closely monitoring the situation in Catalonia, where tensions between Ter Stegen and the club continue to escalate. Barcelona's recent signing of young shot-stopper Joan García has raised further questions about the veteran's place in Hansi Flick's long-term plans. While Ter Stegen has been one of the club's veteran stars with a massive dressing room presence, the decision-makers at the club seem to be preparing for a future without him. Despite this, though, it is said that the German remains determined to stay and fight for his position. A tempting proposal from PSG Ter Stegen's current situation has not gone unnoticed across Europe. Luis Enrique's PSG are on the lookout for a top-class goalkeeper, and the German international fits their profile perfectly. PSG are interested in signing Marc-Andre ter Stegen. (Photo by) With vast experience at the highest level and a proven track record in pressure situations, Ter Stegen would bring both quality and leadership to a side already packed with world-class talent. Though the 33-year-old has so far resisted any offers to leave Barcelona, the chance to join a title-challenging PSG squad could prompt him to rethink. The 2026 World Cup is not far away, and securing regular playing time at a high level could be crucial for his hopes of remaining Germany's No. 1. For Barcelona, parting ways with Ter Stegen would free up significant wages and mark the start of a new era between the posts. While it would be a major departure, the club appears ready to move forward, even if it means letting go of a player who has been one of their longest-serving players.
