ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit organization funded by dairy farm families in the Southeast, is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the Biloxi Shuckers' 10th Anniversary Game on June 6, 2025. The game, which also celebrates the return of the fan-favorite Biloxi Beach Chickens theme night, will be held at Keesler Federal Park in Biloxi, Mississippi, as the Shuckers take on the Montgomery Biscuits.
'This partnership brings together our Alabama and Mississippi dairy farm families for an exciting night of baseball and a focus on fueling strength, performance, and hydration with real dairy,' said Geri Berdak, Chief Executive Officer at The Dairy Alliance. 'We're excited to be a part of this Shuckers milestone and showcase how our Milk's Got Game initiative helps athletes and fans perform at their best, both on and off the field.'
Fans will enjoy an exhibit with free ice cream donated by Prairie Farms, branded giveaways, and the chance to meet local dairy farmers from both Alabama and Mississippi. Fans are also encouraged to arrive early to see a local dairy farmer throw the ceremonial first pitch, kicking off the game with a nod to the hardworking individuals behind every glass of real dairy milk.
'We're honored to support The Dairy Alliance and the Biloxi Shuckers by donating Prairie Farms ice cream for this special night,' said Gary Davis, Chief Marketing Officer at Prairie Farms. 'It's a fun way to celebrate local dairy farmers and help fans enjoy the game with a taste of what real dairy has to offer.'
With game attendance consistently topping 4,000 fans, the Biloxi Shuckers are a beloved part of the Gulf Coast community. Date announced for annual Michigan State Madness event

Michigan State basketball has announced the date for its annual Michigan State Madness event. Michigan State Madness will be held on October 3, with the doors expected to open at 8 p.m. ET. Michigan State Madness is the annual preseason event held by the Spartans' men's and women's basketball programs that includes open practice, player contests and fun themed entrances. This is essentially the event previously known as midnight madness. Michigan State Madness is considered a celebration of the start of the college basketball season, which will officially start in early November with the first regular season games taking place. Admission is free for the event. Both the men's and women's basketball teams are coming off strong seasons last year, with both reaching the NCAA Tournament. Similar expectations are in play again for both teams as we look ahead to the 2025-26 season. Click here to see the complete details on the event from Michigan State. CBS Sports analyst Rick Neuheisel names Jackson Arnold his top newcomer

The key to the success for the Auburn Tigers this season on the football field will be the play of quarterback Jackson Arnold. He is looking to rebound from a subpar performance last season with the Oklahoma Sooners where he was benched for some games early in the season. As a freshman in 2024, Arnold threw for 1,421 yards and 12 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 63%. He did not meet the expectations that were placed on him before the season. The struggles were not just with Arnold last season. The Sooners had issues at the offensive line, and Arnold was without his top receivers. Neither should be an issue with the Tigers this season. Arnold will have one of the best groups of receivers, not just in the SEC but in the entire nation. Sophomore Cam Coleman and Georgia Tech transfer Eric Singleton Jr lead the wide receiver room. CBS Sports analyst and former college football head coach Rick Neuheisel sees Arnold as his top newcomer this season. Part of his reasoning is that head coach Hugh Freeze needs Arnold to be successful. 'I think Jackon Arnold is going to have one heck of an impact on war eagle nation', said Neuheisel. If he does have a big impact on the team, that will be good news for Freeze. His first two years as head coach have not been what the fans have expected, with an 11-14 record so far. A big year from Arnold, the offense should result in Freeze staying off any hot seat. San Francisco running back Ameer Abdullah placed on injury reserve

Former Husker Ameer Abdullah hit a bump in the road following his first preseason game of 2025. The San Francisco 49ers placed the veteran running back on injured reserve on Monday. Abdullah suffered a rib injury in the team's loss to the Denver Broncos on Saturday, where he took the field on offense and kickoff return. He finished with four carries for 20 yards and returned one kickoff for 22 yards. However, he fumbled in the third quarter, which also resulted in his injury. Abdullah joined the 49ers in late July, but will now be forced to miss the 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team. The 2015 second-round pick played in 141 career games, earning 26 starts with the Detroit Lions, before joining the Minnesota Vikings, the Carolina Panthers, and the Las Vegas Raiders. In his career, he's tallied 1,994 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. He also hauled in 1,468 yards and 11 touchdowns.
