Incoming cohort of Boston Celtics tries some batting practice at Fenway Park

All of the New England major league sports teams have developed a certain camaraderie over the decades of northeastern athletic excellence they have produced. And with the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox sharing not only the same region in which they play (and by default, a large number of multi-sport fans from the region), the bond is especially strong when it comes to baseball and basketball in the area. So it should not surprise us to see the current cohort of young Celtics players taking some time to hit some baseballs at batting practice at the Red Sox' home arena of Fenway Park this week. Amari Williams, Hugo Gonzalez, Luka Garza, and other recent arrivals took in the experience as they get settled into their new home city. The folks behind the "CLNS Media Boston Sports Network" YouTube channel put together a clip of the event for us to watch later. Check it out below! Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown is back on a basketball court

Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown is back on a basketball court for the first time (that we know of, anyway) since getting knee surgery this offseason. And by most accounts, the Georgia native has been looking much more like his former, springy, athletic self while he has been putting in the work ahead of the NBA's 2025-26 regular season. Brown, looking like he is most of the way back from his recent meniscus repair, wowed fans on the court at a recent charity game in China. Does this tell us something about how he will look on the court next season for the Celtics? Or is this far too small of a sample size and level of competition for his appearance to tell us much of anything? The hosts of the CLNS Media "First to the Floor" podcast, Jake Issenberg, Ben Vallis, and Wayne Spooney, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below! What feud? Shaquille O'Neal to be presenter for Dwight Howard at Hall of Fame

In a couple of weeks, when Dwight Howard is inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, Shaquille O'Neal will be by his side as one of his presenters. Shaq's addition to the list of Patrick Ewing, Robert Parish, Dennis Rodman, and Dominique Wilkins was announced by the Hall. Let's make it official. See you soon @SHAQ. 😎 #25HoopClass It's an interesting choice, given that Shaq and Howard have had a public feud that goes back more than 17 years. It was an inevitable tension as Shaq was not willing to cede his spot among the best centers in the game to another player, especially one Shaq saw as appropriating his 'Superman' image. So u wear a cape and win a dunk contest and they call u superman So This feud continued after Shaq's playing days, with him once suggesting Brook Lopez was a better center than Howard (who had been named First Team All-NBA for five straight years at that point). Howard said Shaq was retired and needed to let it go. Shaq later said all this was a motivational tactic to fire up Howard, but it continued even a year ago when both were out of the game (Howard was inspired by the Mike Tyson/Jake Paul 'fight'). Gotta have more than one ring to get in the ring with me, I'll stick with a real champion like @RobGronkowski, and you can have the Superman belt, all yours buddy, Now, though, it's apparently all good, and when Dwight Howard deservedly enters the Hall of Fame next month, Shaq will be there to present him and welcome him to the club.
