DTI certifies 4 companies as 1st export-oriented firms under CREATE MORE
The first four companies awarded with EOE certifications are as follows:
Dole Philippines Inc. (Est. 1963): A global leader in tropical fruit exports, Dole cultivates vast plantations across Mindanao and Luzon, supplying fresh and processed pineapples and juices to markets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The company is also expanding into sustainable agriculture and biofuel production.
Philsaga Mining Corporation (PMC) (Est. 2001): PMC operates the Coo Gold Mine in Agusan del Sur, extracting over 900,000 metric tons of ore annually.
Krystle Exports Philippines, Inc. (Est. 1987): Krystle Exports is a distributor of premium Filipino food and non-food products. It also partners with local manufacturers to deliver high-quality goods to the US, Hong Kong, and the Middle East.
Bosch Service Solutions Inc. (Est. 2010): Based in Taguig City, Bosch provides Business Process Outsourcing and customer experience services to global clients, including the Bosch Group.
The DTI said its Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) facilitated the ceremonial awarding of EOE certificates to the first four companies.
The EOE certification, it said, signifies the implementation rollout of the CREATE MORE Act's VAT-related incentives for exporters.
The Trade Department said the certification grants eligible enterprises access to critical tax benefits that reduce operational costs and fuel reinvestment in innovation and expansion.
'This landmark initiative marks more than a policy breakthrough—it signals our readiness to compete, scale, and lead in the global market. By strengthening the ability of our exporters to expand their reach, we are also generating jobs, and driving inclusive economic growth,' said Trade Secretary Cristina Roque.
'This commitment advances President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. vision for a 'Bagong Pilipinas,' as we build a more agile and opportunity-rich environment for Filipino exporters through the strategic incentives of the CREATE MORE Act,' added Roque.
The Republic Act No. 12066 or CREATE MORE Act was signed into law on November 8, 2024.
Under the law, qualified companies may be certified as EOEs if at least 70% of their annual sales come from export transactions.
Once certified, EOEs gain access to VAT zero-rating on local purchases of goods and services, as well as VAT-exempt importation of goods directly used in export activities.
These targeted incentives significantly lower the cost of doing business, allowing exporters to scale operations, enhance product quality, and compete more effectively in international markets, according to the DTI.

The camp of former president Rodrigo Duterte has questioned the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in handling his case, according to Vice President Sara Duterte. The Vice President made the remark during her visit to the Filipino community in Kuwait on Friday. 'Meron po silang finile yung pag-question ng jurisdiction ng korte sa kaso ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte. Simple lang ang sinasabi nila. OVP open to help distressed OFWs — VP Sara
The Office of the Vice President (OVP) is willing to assist distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who choose to return to the Philippines instead of continuing to work abroad, Vice President Sara Duterte said in a statement. Duterte made the remark during her visit last week to the Filipino community in Kuwait. She left the country on Friday. She shared that their helper at home chose to return to the Philippines because her employer did not provide her with meals. 'Huwag ninyong ipagpalit ang inyong pagkatao, ang inyong dignidad bilang isang tao. Kasi yung treatment o pakikitungo na ganyan ay hindi makatao,' the Vice President said during her speech before a group of OFWs. (Do not trade your dignity as a person, because that kind of treatment is inhumane.) 'Bumalik na lang kayo sa Pilipinas, pag-usapan na lang natin sa Office of the Vice President kung saan ba kami makatulong,' she added. COA orders fraud audit on Bulacan flood control projects
The Commission on Audit (COA) has ordered a fraud audit of the flood control projects in the Bulacan province, which was hit by the recent floods, in a bid to seek accountability for failed projects across the country. Under a memorandum ordered by COA chairperson Gamaliel Cordoba, all supervising auditors and audit team leaders of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) District Offices in Region 3 are mandated to submit all relevant documents necessary for the fraud audit. They are also ordered to ensure their availability to assist the fraud audit teams at any time during the audit. 'Given the critical issues raised by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. regarding the implementation of these projects, particularly in the Province in Bulacan, a fraud audit is an immediate and unequivocal necessity,' COA said in a memo issued on August 12. The order covers flood control projects of the Department of Public Works and HIghways (DPWH) in the province, which received P44 billion for flood control projects, accounting for the biggest share of funding in Region 3 with 45%. According to Cordoba, the audit is in line with President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.'s move to investigate alleged anomalies in the government's flood control programs amid persistent flooding across the country. This comes as Marcos during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July, warned government personnel who steal public funds — such as those for flood control projects — to have some shame. Just last week the President launched the website on flood control projects. He said 20% of the P545-billion budget for flood control projects was awarded to only 15% of contractors, five of whom have contracts across the country.
