Congress, BJP disinformation campaign on PRLIS disproved, Kaleshwaram to dispel it soon: KTR

Working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao has alleged that the ruling Congress in the State and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre have been practising dirty politics over the irrigation projects of Telangana and their disinformation on Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme was exposed in the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Likewise, their false propaganda on Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project would also be disproved soon. In an informal chat with newspersons here on Thursday, he stated that the Congress party's disinformation on the Kaleshwaram project was a ploy to divert people's attention from its misrule.
The State government had taken to theatrics by issuing notices to party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, former minister T. Harish Rao and others as the BRS had been regularly exposing Congress leaders' 'percentage rule'. The extension of the time of the Justice P.C. Ghose Commission of Inquiry was with malafide intentions despite the Commission revealing that its enquiry was completed.
The BRS working president said the party leaders had not received notices formally so far and the party would take a decision on how to proceed only after receiving them. He, however, felt that the Congress party's agenda could be to demolish all three barrages of Kaleshwaram and construct them afresh by calling for tenders again by taking 20% to 30% commissions.
Alleging that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was suffering from multiple personality disorder Mr. Rama Rao said his (CM's) talk on an issue was different at different times. He sought to know whether it was graceful for a Chief Minister to be busy with Miss World pageant when 580 farmers across the State died and their harvested paddy was damaged in untimely rains.
Mr. Rama Rao also faulted the Chief Minister for not visiting the Gulzar Houz fire site, though it was the worst-ever fire accident in Telangana.

He visited Ambedkar Hostel in Darbhanga to deliver an address even after the Bihar Police denied him permission, resulting in a case filed against him by the district administration. During his earlier visit, Rahul Gandhi urged the need for a caste census, while highlighting the importance of social justice. Gandhi's current visit comes ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, where the ruling National Democratic Alliance , led by the Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) and the BJP, the Mahagathbandhan or the Grand Alliance) comprising the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the INC, and other parties, are the main contenders. The last assembly elections were conducted in three phases from October to November 2020. The National Democratic Alliance secured 125 seats in the previous elections. The BJP won 74 seats, and the JD(U) obtained 43 seats. Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan, consisting of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Left parties, secured 110 seats in the 243-seat legislative assembly.
