Negeri Sembilan PMR 2025 To Highlight Digital, AI Elements
SEREMBAN, Aug 19 (Bernama) -- The Negeri Sembilan edition of the MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025, to be held from Aug 22 to 24 at Dataran Nilai, will feature a new concept emphasising digital and artificial intelligence (AI) elements, under the theme 'Digital Merentasi Generasi Memperkasa Komuniti'.
Digital Ministry Corporate Communications Unit head Nur Fazreen Mohamad Kamal said the programme, organised by the ministry in collaboration with the Negeri Sembilan State Secretariat, will showcase various digital services, offering the community an opportunity to experience the nation's digital transformation first-hand.
She said among the highlights will be the use of AI presenters alongside physical presenters, on the main stage during the opening ceremony, which is scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim this Saturday (Aug 23).
'This edition of PMR is special as it brings digital elements directly to the people, and introduces the various digital services available in Malaysia for their use. The public must be given exposure to the AI system to gain a better understanding.
'It is also part of efforts to reflect the government's continuous commitment to digitising the nation, aimed at improving quality of life and driving a high-tech future, anchored on human values and social justice,' she said in an interview with Bernama Radio today in conjunction with the programme.
Nur Fazreen said that a total of 22 ministries will set up booths, offering various activities, including dental and health check-ups, a 50 per cent discount on summonses, and a food court (Selero Nogori), with more than 150 touch-point services for the people.
More than 40 MADANI entrepreneurs will also take part in this edition, alongside a digital and career carnival offering 500 job opportunities, free motorcycle engine oil changes, and the exchange of 3,000 helmets at no cost.
She also said that popular animated characters such as Boboiboy, Papa Zola, Ejen Ali, and Upin & Ipin will also make appearances, with the highlight being the screening of Ejen Ali The Movie on Saturday night, in addition to a religious talk on Friday.
In this regard, she called on the public, including those from Melaka, Putrajaya, Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur, not to miss the opportunity to visit Negeri Sembilan PMR to enjoy the various services offered. For more information, the public can visit www.malaysiamadani.gov.my.

This signature will confirm Malaysia's dedication to strengthening international cooperation against digital crime. This effort will enhance protection for critical infrastructure and help combat cybercrime according to the Prime Minister. GENERAL KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 (Bernama) -- Malaysia cannot continue to rely on foreign technology but must build internal capabilities, including cloud computing, to protect the country's classified information and strategic assets, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He said the matter, which was discussed while he chaired the National Cyber Security Committee (JKSN) Meeting No. 2 of 2025 today, emphasised the need for new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing to be addressed through a security lens. "Therefore, the government will continue to strengthen the country's cyber defence by protecting critical infrastructure, increasing public awareness, and strengthening cooperation among government agencies, the private sector, and international partners. "In terms of legislation, the Cybercrime Bill will be tabled in Parliament at the end of this year," he said in a post uploaded on his Facebook page tonight. Anwar said every individual also plays a role in protecting personal data when dealing online, including through the use of MyDigital ID, which now records an average of 25,000 users per day as a result of integration with applications such as MyJPJ, MySejahtera, MyBayar PDRM, and MyGOV. "Malaysia's commitment is also expressed at the global level. In the near future, we will sign the United Nations Convention on cybercrime in Hanoi, Vietnam, as proof of our determination to strengthen international cooperation against digital crime," he said. Lee appeared on Arirang TV's prerecorded programme K-Pop: The Next Chapter, aired Wednesday, where he sat down with Korean-Canadian co-creator Maggie Kang, members of TWICE Jihyo and Jeongyeon, DJ and music producer and music critic Kim Young-dae. "The opportunity to show the power of Korean culture is beginning in a full-fledged manner,' Lee said. "By building solid foundations, we will make (the cultural sector) a key industry.' He acknowledged concerns that the industry may appear vibrant on the surface but lack depth. "I agree with concerns that South Korea's cultural industry may appear glamorous on the surface but is void inside with its roots decaying. The government will build strong foundations, starting now,' he said.
