The wait is over for Maxton Hall – The World Between Us fans. Prime Video has announced that the hit romantic drama will return with Season 2 on November 7, and dropped a teaser that's already set social media buzzing.
The series, set in a posh British boarding school but produced in Germany, continues the turbulent love story between Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James (Damian Hardung). The newly released teaser gives a glimpse into the emotional rollercoaster awaiting viewers. In one scene, Ruby watches James partying with other girls under strobe lights. In another, James is seen being led away at school while looking back longingly at a heartbroken Ruby.
The official synopsis teases deeper drama: 'Those who fly high can also fall low… After their passionate night together in Oxford and her greatest life goal within reach, everything seems to be going perfectly for Ruby. But a stroke of fate in James' family changes everything and James himself, of all people, brings her back from cloud nine to a harsh reality. Ruby is devastated. She has never had such strong feelings for anyone as she does for James – and never before has anyone hurt her so deeply."
Ruby finds herself wishing for her old life, where she wasn't entangled in the elite world of Maxton Hall. But forgetting James proves impossible — especially since he's trying everything to win her back.
Returning cast members include Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier, and Eli Riccardi. The upcoming season follows the events of the second book in Mona Kasten's best-selling young adult trilogy.
Season 1, which premiered in May 2024, quickly became a breakout hit. With speculation already building around a possible Season 3, fans are eager to see how the story evolves.
Maxton Hall is directed once again by Martin Schreier. The show is produced by Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim, who also returns as head writer, along with Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior.

Kuberaa producer claims Prime Video threatened to cut ₹10 crore from deal if film isn't released on time

For long, there has been chatter about producers and distributors feeling begrudged about how OTT platforms have also become a major player in deciding film release dates. It looks like this is true because producer Suniel Narang of Asian Cinemas, in an interview with Gulte, claimed that Prime Video threatened to cut ₹10 crore from their deal when it comes to Sekhar Kammula's Kuberaa. (Also Read: Dhanush's short hair and moustache look from Tere Ishk Mein set has fans going: 'Is that you Hardik Pandya?') When asked about how an OTT window of 4 weeks has become unavoidable, even for films that are faring well in theatres, Suniel said, 'Yes, Telugu films come on OTT platforms in 28 days, sometimes we drag it to 30 days. They have overtaken everything, and it all goes according to their will. I requested them (Prime Video) to give me a few weeks' time and a July date because there might be a delay in post-production. They said they'll cut ₹10 crore if I don't release on 20 June as planned.' He also claimed that the film industry is 'finished' when it comes to certain things, like relying on Qube Cinema for projection, BookMyShow for ticketing and OTT platforms for post-theatrical revenue. 'And yet people say artists' remuneration should be reduced. Why should we do that? India has a population of 145 crore, only 50 of them are superstars. They are gods, in my opinion. The issue lies with everything else but them. These other entities are happy irrespective of films being a hit or a flop,' said the producer. Kuberaa is directed by Sekhar Kammula and produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao under Amigos Creations. The cast includes Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil. The film's OTT rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video, and it will be released in theatres on 20 June. It was supposed to be released in April but was delayed.

Is Carlos Alcaraz single? The 22 year old tennis player breaks his silence on dating and romance

Image: AP Carlos Alcaraz, the fiery Spanish sensation who's won five Grand Slam titles by age 22, has been dominating headlines—both on and off the court. But while tennis fans are obsessed with his speed, power, and clay-court wizardry, there's another question on everyone's lips: Is this heartbreak roller-coaster bachelor dating anyone? 'I am single... and looking for someone' In a refreshing dose of honesty, Carlos recently told The Sunday Times, 'No, I am single. I am looking for someone. It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are traveling all the time' His tone was shy but genuine—no glamorous celebrity vagueness here, just someone admitting that constant travel and back-to-back tournaments make stable relationships a challenge. He says it is 'hard to find the person who can share things with you if you're always in different parts of the world.' Carlos Alcaraz: Rumoured girlfriends Of course, nothing in the fame universe stays secret for long. Carlos has been loosely linked to three names: Maria González Giménez: A fellow tennis player from his hometown Murcia, Spain—suggesting a sweet story. Alcaraz once posted an Instagram story featuring him kissing her cheek, captioned 'I miss you,' which sparked wild speculation. Emma Raducanu: The British sensation showing up in the stands at Wimbledon 2024 raised eyebrows. When asked, he responded playfully, 'She is from here, so I imagine she wanted to come… I'm not sure if she came to see me or the final,' seeming to deflect rumors with both caution and a hint of affection However, none of the relationships were confirmed by Alcaraz. There's a solid reason everyone's curious: tennis stars are under the spotlight, and Alcaraz's meteoric rise just adds fuel. At home in Spain—or lounging during off days—rolls with his family, lives humbly, and tries to stay grounded . But courtside, it's all business: focused, intense, and relentless. Still, fans love the romantic question. Is the winning jock going to find someone to share courtside love stories? Or is the pursuit of trophies and records enough to fill his world? He's young (turning 22 in May 2025), chasing major titles, and building a legacy. Not exactly the ideal time to settle down—especially when every week brings a new city, different time zones, and back-to-back tournament bouts. Start the week with a film: In ‘Night Courier', a seriocomic battle for survival

It's not often that we get to watch films from Saudi Arabia. It's rarer still to watch a movie that explores the underbelly of Saudi cities. Night Courier is one such film. Ali Kalthami's Arabic-language directorial debut from 2023 is set in Riyadh. The original title, Mandoob, refers both to a person who delivers a package as well as a victim of misfortune. Indeed, long is the night and extended the misery of Fahad, who loses his job in a telecommunications company because he hangs up a bit too soon on a customer. Fahad (Mohamad Aldokhei) puts up a spirited fight, but there is the unmistakeable sense that his bosses are happy to get rid of him. In order to support his ailing father and divorced sister, Fahad becomes a courier of illicit goods, which puts him – and viewers – on a path of discovery of Riyadh's lesser-known aspects. Underneath a veneer of morality, there's a lot of activity that borders on the blasphemous, not to mention criminal, Fahad finds. His desperate measures to earn money challenge his survival skills, not to mention his mental balance. Night Courier is available on JioHotstar and Prime Video. The slickly filmed, neon-lit Arab noir is both a cruel comedy as well as a cautionary tale about overreach. Ali Kalthami's film is like Martin Scorsese's After Hours in its exploration of the pleasures and anxieties that come into view after sundown. Night Courier also resembles Jafar Panahi's Crimson Gold in its exploration of the despair felt by a man who struggles to live up to expectations or provide for his family. Fahad isn't the only one who's striving – his sister too dreams of starting a business that will give her the financial independence she craves. The lugubrious-faced Mohamad Aldokhei's performance careens between the comic and the tragic. Through his curious eyes, Night Courier dives into netherworlds where a word or a step out a line can be risky for the economically disadvantaged. The film was a domestic hit in Saudi Arabia, proving the viability of local stories that mine lived realities. Play
