Stankovic, the son of legendary former Inter and Lazio midfielder Dejan, enjoyed an excellent season on loan at Swiss side Lugano last season.
Therefore, the Swiss club exercised a purchase option on the 19-year-old. However, Inter swiftly signed him right back via a buyback clause.
Inter & Club Brugge Still Stuck On Buyback Clause In Aleksandar Stankovic Talks
Now, Club Brugge are very keen to sign Aleksandar Stankovic this summer.
And for their part, Inter would be happy to cash in on the young midfielder now that his value has risen significantly.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the two clubs are in agreement on a fee of around €10 million for Stankovic.

However, as they had done with Lugano last summer, Inter are insisting on a buyback clause.
Naturally, Club Brugge are seeking to set that buyback as high as possible.
There had been reports that the clubs were discussing the possibility of a clause as high as €28 million.
However, this amount then dropped to around €24-25 million, according to Sky.
Now, the broadcaster reports, Inter are aiming to lower it further. They would like to set the clause for Stankovic at around €20 million.

GB's Rowland wins Formula E title in Germany
Rowland is the 10th different Formula E champion and the first for Nissan [Getty Images] Great Britain's Oliver Rowland has secured the Formula E title for the first time after a fourth place finish in Berlin, Germany. The Nissan driver won the championship with two races to spare and becomes the 10th different champion in 11 seasons. Advertisement Porsche's Pascal Wehrlein was Rowland's closest title rival, but the German slipped down to 16th in Sunday's race despite starting on pole at Berlin's old Tempelhof airport. "Honestly, I was just thinking before the race not to have too much damage going into [the final round in] London," said Rowland. "I can't believe it, I have no words. It's incredible. I was trying to play it safe but everybody was so aggressive, so at some point I was all in. "Thankfully I stayed out of trouble." It has been a dominant season for Rowland, with victories in Mexico, Jeddah, Monaco and Tokyo, before Sunday's in Germany. Advertisement He has 184 points going into the final two races of the season in London (26-27 July), while Wehrlein sits on 125. Jaguar's Nick Cassidy won Sunday's race as Jake Dennis (Andretti) finished second and Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Penske) came home in third. Nissan are the only Japanese manufacturer to have won the championship.

Samuel Abt, Tour de France Writer for 30 Years, Dies at 91
Samuel Abt, an erudite writer who covered the Tour de France for The New York Times and The International Herald Tribune in stage-by-stage dispatches for more than 30 years, died on Friday in Suresnes, a suburb of Paris. He was 91. His son, John, confirmed the death, in a hospital, on the day of the seventh stage of this year's Tour. Mr. Abt was an editor at The International Herald Tribune (now The International New York Times), based in Paris, when he started covering the Tour in 1977. At the outset, he is believed to have been the only North American writing regularly about it. 'You have to remember that back in the 1970s, the Tour de France was nothing in the United States,' he said in an interview with Bicycling magazine in 2012. 'There were no American riders; there were no Anglophone riders.' He added: 'I'll never forget when someone at The Times said, 'We don't have many Belgians in our readership, so please never write another story about a rider whose name ends in 'ckx'' — a reference to Eddy Merckx, a five-time winner of the Tour. Mr. Abt said that he was smitten with the Tour from the first day. 'I just thought, 'God, this is gorgeous,'' he told Bicycling. 'Everything about it pleased me — the uniforms, the crowd excitement, the athletes.' Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

Real Madrid opt against star's buy back option until 2026
Real Madrid have made a final call over bringing Argentina international Nico Paz back to the club this summer. Xabi Alonso is focused on defensive reinforcements as part of his squad refit with only one more arrival planned as he aims to stay with the La Liga panel limit Advertisement Benfica star Alvaro Carreras is expected to join fellow new arrivals Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold – with Franco Mastantuono landing in August – after he turns 18. Former Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti opted for a bold call on Paz last summer as he sold the highly-rated midfielder to Serie A side Como for a fee of €6m. However, with the club still looking to keep their options open on Paz, they agreed a structured exit package with Cesc Faregas' side. That included three separate buy-back options that would come into effect in 2025, 2026 and 2027 respectively. Nico Paz's Real Madrid return clause revealed The first of those, worth €8m, was triggered at the start of the summer, but as per Sky Sports Italia (via Football Italia), it has since expired. Image viaAdvertisement Further rumours hinted at Real Madrid reaching out to Como, to see if an alternative agreement could be reached – but Alonso has now opted against that – as per Mundo Deportivo. The situation will be reviewed again in 2026, if Paz maintains his level in Serie A, on the back of a solid first year under Fabregas. Fabregas guided Como to promotion back to the Italian top-flight at the end of 2023/24, and he steered the team to a respectable 10th place last season, with Paz at the heart of his plans. The Canarian-born playmaker netted six league goals – with only two Como players scoring more – and eight league assists, bettered only by three players in Serie A. A similar campaign in 2025/26 will keep him firmly on Real Madrid's radar despite Alonso's eagerness to give Arda Guler a chance in his plans.
