Wharf Hotels announced the appointments of Eva Wong as Group Director. Based at Wharf Hotels' headquarters in Hong Kong, Eva will play a crucial role in strengthening foundational support for the group's owned and managed premium, lifestyle and luxury properties across the Asia-Pacific region, including Greater China, Hong Kong and the Philippines.
Eva Wong joins Wharf Hotels as Group Director, Digital Marketing having worked in leadership roles at Christian Dior Couture, Ralph Lauren, and prestige beauty brands. She brings a fresh set of strategies and will lead all digital initiatives, ensuring efforts are integrated with relevant business functions to achieve objectives across all group brands, namely Maqo, Niccolo Hotels, and Marco Polo Hotels. In addition, Eva will collaborate across the Commercial and IT departments to enhance existing digital experiences, drive digital growth and optimise consumer journeys from online to offline.
Having started her career as a management trainee developing online marketing campaigns, Eva's career highlights include, enhancing the digital business through omni-channel initiatives, driving sales through innovative online initiatives, and leading market expansion objectives via digital projects.

Mandarin Oriental to Manage San Clemente Palace Hotel In Venice
Mandarin Oriental has announced that it will manage and rebrand the San Clemente Palace Hotel in Venice, Italy. Situated on its own exclusive five-hectare private island, this serene, historic retreat seamlessly combines the seclusion of a resort with effortless access to the cultural heart of Venice. Enjoying unique views of the Venetian lagoon, just an eight-minute boat ride from San Marco Square, the hotel is surrounded by curated gardens and the peaceful waters of La Serenissima. Mandarin Oriental will operate the hotel until its seasonal closure in November 2025, when an extensive three-phase renovation will commence. Four distinctive dining venues will offer a unique perspective on Mandarin Oriental's approach to gastronomy, while The Spa at Mandarin Oriental will feature multiple treatment rooms, a Finnish sauna, steam bath, multi-sensory showers and a relaxation lounge. The Group's award-winning signature spa therapies will be further enhanced by wellness amenities including a dedicated yoga pavilion, an outdoor pool, tennis and paddle courts. Expansive indoor and outdoor events spaces will make full use of the island's picturesque setting, while a dedicated children's area will provide engaging experiences for younger guests. IHG Hotels & Resorts signs first InterContinental in Manchester, UK
IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), one of the world's leading hotel companies, announces the signing of InterContinental Manchester - Deansgate, marking the fifth InterContinental in its UK and Ireland portfolio. Owned by Blue Manchester Hotel Limited, the 264-room hotel is expected to be fully rebranded by 2027, and will remain open to guests in the meantime.
