After ticket sales for his shows in South Korea began, queues swelled to tens of thousands for the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium, which has a capacity of only 2,500 people.
Kim Seokjin, aka BTS' Jin, is soon embarking on his first-ever solo tour. His agency, BigHit Music, made the announcement on Weverse, revealing that the Run Seokjin EP Tour will run from June to August this year. The BTS star will kick off his tour in South Korea with back-to-back performances at the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium on June 28 and 29. But the excitement quickly turned into disappointment for a major section of his Korean fans, who were trying to grab tickets for the shows.
After ticket sales for his shows in South Korea began, queues swelled to tens of thousands for the Goyang Auxiliary Stadium, which has a capacity of only 2,500 people. A fan took to Weverse, a platform that BTS uses to interact with their fans, and shared their struggles of getting a ticket for his show. The person questioned if they should give up trying to buy the ticket as they were behind more than 53,000 people.
Upon noticing the posts, Jin took responsibility and did not shy away from addressing the issue head-on. Adding a lighthearted touch, he, as quoted by Koreaboo, said, 'Woah, I didn't know Seokjinie was this popular!"

Meanwhile, when another fan suggested that the K-pop idol must book a bigger stadium next time, Jin responded, 'Honestly, it was decided on a sudden whim, so there were no available venues… I barely managed to book them all." He took the blame on himself and added, 'It's my fault for not having planned it."

Another fan managed to access the ticket selection screen but was left heartbroken when they saw that no seats were available. Reassuring that person, Jin said, 'I booked the biggest one among the places that were available!" Moreover, the 32-year-old idol also confirmed to his fans that there won't be any encore concerts during his upcoming tour. His honesty and candid replies instantly took social media by storm, with fans especially praising his humility and transparency about his decisions.
Jin, as part of his Run Seokjin EP Tour, will be performing in nine cities, including Chiba, Osaka, Dallas, Newark, London and Amsterdam, with two shows in each city. The tour will begin shortly after Jin's second solo album, Echo's release. Six months after releasing his first solo album, Happy, Jin will release his second on May 16.

BTS' Label BigHit Music Unveils The Name Of Its New Five-Member Boy Group

Last Updated: BigHit Music's new boy group CORTIS comprises Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho. K-pop fans, are you ready? BigHit Music, the agency behind industry bigwigs like BTS and TXT, has just unveiled details about its new group, which is set to make its debut on August 18. The agency not just announced the name of the five-membered group but also released a teaser, hinting at what to expect from the upcoming boy group. On August 7 at midnight KST, BigHit Music revealed that its brand-new boy band, comprising Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon and Keonho, will be called CORTIS. It is the first new group under the label since TXT's debut six years ago. A short clip, which showcased the name of the group written in pink on a laptop screen, unveiled the group's name. They are all set to make their debut on August 18. Moreover, the agency also shared that the group will debut a video on August 10 at midnight KST on its parent company, HYBE Label's official YouTube channel. The video could likely give a hint at their debut music or maybe their overall vibe. Apart from these, BigHit Music revealed that CORTIS now have their official social media profiles on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok. Who Are The Members Of BigHit Music's CORTIS? Earlier this year, BigHit Music, a subsidiary of the South Korean entertainment giant HYBE, announced that it would be debuting a new boy group. More recently, they confirmed that the group, named CORTIS, will debut with five members. As reported by Koreaboo, 17-year-old Martin, a Canadian-Korean, is speculated to be the leader of the group. 20-year-old Thai-Chinese descent James is said to be the eldest among the members. The three other members of the group are 17-year-old Juhoon, 16-year-old Seonghyeon, and 16-year-old Keonho, who is the maknae of the group. All three are Koreans. What Are The Roles Of The Members In CORTIS? In a previously released statement by BigHit Music, the agency stated that the quintet will be a 'young creators' crew", where members will be creating their own music, choreography and videos. 'They will express their creative talent based on their own stories. All members will take part in the creative process, regardless of their set positions," said the agency. The band members have previously contributed to BIGHIT's other acts, including TXT. Martin has worked with TXT on Deja Vu, Miracle, and, more recently, on Beautiful Strangers. He has also contributed to ENHYPEN's Outside, LE SSERAFIM's Pierrot, and ILLIT's Magnetic. On the other hand, James has choreographed for TXT and ILLIT. Fact Check: Rs 3 Lakh Fine Or Jail For Posting 'Hakla Shah Rukh Khan' Meme? Here's The Truth

Last Updated: Some reports allege that posting the meme could lead to a fine of up to Rs 3 lakh and a jail term of up to two years. Social media users are constantly introducing new memes and trends. While many of them are funny and entertaining, some cross the line and spark controversy. One such trend is the 'Hakla Shah Rukh Khan' meme. Let's take a closer look at what this meme is about and why it has stirred debate online. The meme trend started from a parody of Shah Rukh Khan's iconic stammering in his 'K‑K‑K‑Kiran" dialogue delivery, using 'hakla"—a Hindi term meaning 'stammerer". It features a funny picture or GIF of Superstar Shah Rukh Khan with an exaggerated hairstyle, like a mohawk or pigtails—illustrating awkward hesitation or speech. While the meme dates back almost a decade, it has recently caught netizens' eyes when reels and GIFs resurged across platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube Shorts. The 'Hakla Meme' Controversy Fact Check- The 'Hakla Shah Rukh Khan Meme' Fine While there have been reports of the fine being charged, reports and the law say that these claims are not true. There is no specific Indian cyber law that imposes an Rs 3 lakh fine or a 2-year jail term for posting the 'Hakla" GIF. While social media platforms may remove such content under their anti-bullying policies, no official government regulation currently enforces such penalties. However, general hate speech provisions exist—such as Karnataka's draft bill, which proposes up to 3 years in jail and a Rs 5,000 fine—they do not specifically address this meme. Additionally, there has been no official statement from the Cyber Cell regarding this issue. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
