High Point MX betting, predictions, odds, picks, lines: Aaron Plessinger is a compelling dark horse
One would be hard-pressed to quibble over those odds, but there were signs that several riders in the field closed the competition gap in Colorado last week. Aaron Plessinger briefly passed Jett for the lead in the second half of Moto 1, Jett did not take the lead in Moto 2 until the halfway point, and Eli Tomac closed the distance on him for several laps. If either of those riders eliminates mistakes in the next few races while Jett is still recuperating from his torn ACL, bettors could have a profitable day.
If Jett can be beaten, it could lead to a snowball effect.
Short of an injury, it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to consistently finish ahead of Jett in the final eight rounds of competition, and that is reflected in his championship odds of -757. Jett currently has a points lead equivalent to one full moto (25 points), which translates to 1.6 points per moto over the next 16 races.
But Jett did suffer an injury last year that kept him from winning the championship, so bettors need to pay attention to the championship odds for his closest rivals. Tomac's line expanded from +381 entering the Thunder Valley Nationals in Lakewood, Colorado, to +511 this week. The remainder of the field is more than 11/1 to take the title.
Tomac (+274) remains the most likely rider to beat Jett for an overall win. He's riding well enough this season to change his mind about retirement, and rumors were all but confirmed last week in the post-race news conference that he will move from Yamaha to KTM as a teammate to Plessinger and Chase Sexton in 2026 (to clear the way for Haiden Deegan to graduate into the 450 class). Unfortunately, Jett's supremacy is so great that it forces riders into mistakes. Tomac rushed a corner in Moto 2 of the Thunder Valley Nationals while attempting to catch Jett and crashed.
Plessinger (+1900) is brimming with confidence. When he says it's only a matter of time before he scores an overall win, one cannot help but realize he fully believes it. Plessinger has come tantalizingly close to winning his first 450 moto twice in three rounds. When he ticks that off his wish list, he could conceivably win the overall in the same round. He's worth modest bets each until he ends his streak of moto top-fives.
Hunter Lawrence (+862) has lower odds than Plessinger, despite not being as consistently fast. Hunter is scoring overall top-fives with consistency that adds points to his total without making him a serious threat to win the overall. Sleep on Hunter until he begins challenging for moto podiums again.
Given their relative performances, Plessinger and Hunter have been matched up in a head-to-head wager. Hunter is favored at -121, while Plessinger is practically even money at -109.

Enzo Temmerman secures second Loretta Lynn's title with Open Pro Sport Moto 3 win
Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green's Enzo Temmerman won Moto 3 of Open Pro Sport in the 2025 Loretta Lynn's Amateur National at Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, to earn the divisional title and secure his fifth win in six races during the week. Temmerman entered the race with the 250 Pro Sport title secured and in a winner-take-all scenario with his teammate Landen Gordon, the only rider to beat him in 2025. Temmerman's 2-1 in the first two motos left him vulnerable, but he scored the title with Saturday's victory. Temmerman led the first lap and might have been tempted to relax if he had been notified that Gordon had an uncharacteristically poor start and completed that circuit in seventh. That would have been premature, as Gordon quickly moved into third on Lap 2 and held that spot for three laps while slowly cutting into Temmerman's advantage. Dan Beaver, Disaster struck on Lap 5 when Gordon crashed and fell back to eighth. He was unable to improve his position and lost one more spot with three laps remaining as Heath Harrison got around him. That was just enough to knock Gordon off the overall podium via a tiebreaker as he scored 12 points during the weekend. Gordon's poor showing in Moto 3 was counterbalanced by the consistency of Diesel Thomas' 3-5-4. Finishing second, Kade Johnson improved in every moto. He was fourth in Moto 1, third in Moto 2, and second in Moto 3. With a score of nine points during the weekend, he easily outdistanced the battle for the final spot on the overall podium. Landen Gibson rebounded from a poor showing of 11th in Moto 2 to take the final spot on the race podium. After challenging for it all week, fifth-place Cole Forbes earned his first Top-5 of the National. He was sixth in Moto 1 and eighth in Moto 2. Five spots further back, Jonathan Getz was in a similar situation. After finishing 11th in Moto 1 and 12th in Moto 2, he finally scored an elusive Top-10 in 10th. Lachlan Turner sweeps Women's division for first Loretta Lynn's title
Altus Motorsports BLU CRU Yamaha's Lachlan Turner completed her sweep of the Women's division with a Moto 3 victory and secured the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National title in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, but this time around, she had a different challenger in second in Mayla Herrick. Turner had unfinished business in the Loretta's. As the defending Women's Pro Motocross (WMX) champion, no one questioned her skill; however, she had failed to secure a divisional championship in the biggest event of amateur racing. Turner won each moto with dominant gaps over second place. Her victory over Herrick was 41.734 seconds as the eventual runner-up finisher worked her way through a determined field. Turner's overall strength was highlighted by a 19th-place finish earlier in the day in the 250 B Limited class that is dominated by male riders. Dan Beaver, Herrick had a modest start in fifth. It took three laps to get into podium contention and another couple of trips around the circuit to move around Kyleigh Stallings into second. The lead was out of the question by that point, with Turner more than 30 seconds ahead, but Herrick matched the leader's pace during the next three laps before losing significant ground on the final lap. Herrick's second-place finish on Saturday, combined with fourth-place results in the first two motos, placed her third overall in the divisional standings by a tiebreaker over Jordan Jarvis. Stallings swept the podium with second-place finishes in Motos 1 and 2, plus her third-place finish on Saturday. For half of Moto 3, it appeared she might finish second for the third time, and rode in that position until Lap 5. Stallings and Turner will leave Tennessee and head to Indiana for the resumption of the WMX Championship next weekend. Fourth-place finisher Jarvis will join them at Ironman Raceway. She came up one position short of also sweeping the podium. Five was the operative number for Mila Baltyk, who finished fifth in Moto1, Moto 3, and in the overall standings. Baltyk's other finish during the week was sixth in Moto 2. Enzo Temmerman sweeps Loretta Lynn's 250 Pro Sport, secures title
Enzo Temmerman ended his 250 Pro Sport campaign with a third divisional moto win in the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, and walked away with the title. Entering the moto with back-to-back wins, Friday's race should have been stress-free, but for the second straight race, Temmerman suffered a poor start and was only sixth after Lap 1. Unlike his previous efforts, it took quite some time to get to the front, with Temmerman falling as far back as 10 seconds during the race. Dan Beaver, Temmerman moved into third on Lap 4, but was forced to settle there until the two laps remained in the moto. Temmerman passed teammate Landen Gordon at that point. One lap later, he took the lead in a thrilling, three-rider battle for the top spot. Kade Johnson led every lap except the final one. He succumbed to a charging Temmerman on Lap 13 and ultimately lost seven seconds to the new leader. Gordon lost an additional four seconds of pace, but easily outdistanced the fourth-place rider, Diesel Thomas. That position would prove to be important as he finished second in the title hunt with one point separating him from Landen Gibson. Gibson finished fifth in the moto to round out the top five. Finishing 10th, North Carolina's Ely Gross capped off progressive improvement during the week with his first top-10. He was 15th in Moto 1 and 11th in Moto 2.
