Enzo Temmerman sweeps Loretta Lynn's 250 Pro Sport, secures title

NBC Sports5 days ago
Enzo Temmerman ended his 250 Pro Sport campaign with a third divisional moto win in the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, and walked away with the title.
Entering the moto with back-to-back wins, Friday's race should have been stress-free, but for the second straight race, Temmerman suffered a poor start and was only sixth after Lap 1. Unlike his previous efforts, it took quite some time to get to the front, with Temmerman falling as far back as 10 seconds during the race.
Dan Beaver,
Temmerman moved into third on Lap 4, but was forced to settle there until the two laps remained in the moto. Temmerman passed teammate Landen Gordon at that point. One lap later, he took the lead in a thrilling, three-rider battle for the top spot.
Kade Johnson led every lap except the final one. He succumbed to a charging Temmerman on Lap 13 and ultimately lost seven seconds to the new leader.
Gordon lost an additional four seconds of pace, but easily outdistanced the fourth-place rider, Diesel Thomas. That position would prove to be important as he finished second in the title hunt with one point separating him from Landen Gibson.
Gibson finished fifth in the moto to round out the top five.
Finishing 10th, North Carolina's Ely Gross capped off progressive improvement during the week with his first top-10. He was 15th in Moto 1 and 11th in Moto 2.
Temmerman has one race remaining in his 2025 Loretta Lynn's effort, which is a winner-take-all battle with Gordon in the Open Pro division on Saturday.

Ironman Motocross betting, predictions, odds, picks, lines: Eli Tomac matches up against Hunter Lawrence

Losing the Washougal National during the last round with a raw, opening line of -844 was bound to influence smart money's opinion on Jett Lawrence. The good news is that for the Ironman National, the first race of the final three rounds, Jett's line is 269 points more attractive. The bad news is that it is still significantly in the minus range at -555. The traders remain convinced Jett will win, but they needed to reduce bettors' risk — if only marginally. Statistics suggest this may not be a cakewalk for Jett. Not only was he beaten last week, but Ironman has favored three riders during the past seven years with multiple wins for Jett, Chase Sexton, and Eli Tomac. The overriding number is that his Washougal loss was only the second time in Jett's Pro Motocross career that he was beaten on the track. It was also the only time he was beaten when he was fully healthy. Dan Beaver, His Washougal victory also altered the line on Sexton. After sitting out four rounds due to an injury at Fox Raceway in Pala, California, Sexton returned with a line of +590 at RedBud. He had a few cobwebs to shake off and didn't perform particularly well, so his line lengthened to +763. That race showed progress with results of fifth in Moto 1 and fourth in Moto 2, so Alt Sports Data, the official linemaker for SuperMotocross, put him back at +580. Since he was likely the most attractive second choice of many bettors who like to cover their bets, he cashed in and was lowered to +387. That bet could be covered with a head-to-head wager of Sexton (+330) over Jett (-515) Traders seem to be a little uncertain as to Hunter Lawrence's value, so they have settled into a pattern. He was +451 at RedBud, +475 at Spring Creek, +432 at Washougal, and opened practically the same at +431 for Ironman. Last week in Washougal, Hunter finished fourth overall, snapping a four-round runner-up streak, so he remains one of three riders (along with Jett and Sexton) to show minus odds to podium. That leaves Eli Tomac (+1251) as one of this week's most attractive propositions. He struggled for a couple of weeks with bike setup, but was convinced he had that fixed in Washougal. He wasn't exactly in Beast Mode, but he was podium-worthy throughout the round and finished second in the first race and third in Moto 2. He's worth some couch cushion money for a podium at +140. If a bettor is willing to forego their specialty coffee drink over the weekend, there is a significant upside to betting on the overall at 25/2. If Tomac is the least bit attractive to a bettor for either a podium or overall win, he can be covered with a Head-to-Head bet against Hunter. With a minus line of -220, Hunter is favored heavily over Tomac's +160. Raycin Kyler, 11, makes history as first female racer to win an Open Class at Loretta Lynn's

Finishing fourth, second, and second in 65cc (10-11) Limited Class, Raycin Kyler, 11, made history in the 2025 Loretta Lynn's Amateur National in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, as the first female rider to win in an Open class. Kyler already had a notation in the record book when she became the first female to win an Open class Regional Championship, which earned her an invitation to the Loretta's. Kyler won her division handily with a combined three-moto score of eight compared to Kannon Zabojnik's 3-1-8 (12 points). This year marks Kyler's third appearance at Loretta Lynn's, and the AMA National Championship capped off a breakthrough year for the rising star who already has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram. Additionally, Kyler finished ninth overall in another 65cc class with two top-10 finishes to her credit. She finished 10th in Moto 1 of that division, seventh in Moto 2, and 14th in the final race. Kyler joins Lachlan Turner as a female champion in the 2025 Amateur National after the current Women's Pro Motocross (WMX) Champion swept her three motos, which came in the all-female Women's division. Hannah Jamison won two of three motos and finished second once in the Girls (11-16) division over Callie Sutton (3-3-2) and Zoe Moore (6-5-3). Enzo Temmerman secures second Loretta Lynn's title with Open Pro Sport Moto 3 win

Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green's Enzo Temmerman won Moto 3 of Open Pro Sport in the 2025 Loretta Lynn's Amateur National at Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, to earn the divisional title and secure his fifth win in six races during the week. Temmerman entered the race with the 250 Pro Sport title secured and in a winner-take-all scenario with his teammate Landen Gordon, the only rider to beat him in 2025. Temmerman's 2-1 in the first two motos left him vulnerable, but he scored the title with Saturday's victory. Temmerman led the first lap and might have been tempted to relax if he had been notified that Gordon had an uncharacteristically poor start and completed that circuit in seventh. That would have been premature, as Gordon quickly moved into third on Lap 2 and held that spot for three laps while slowly cutting into Temmerman's advantage. Dan Beaver, Disaster struck on Lap 5 when Gordon crashed and fell back to eighth. He was unable to improve his position and lost one more spot with three laps remaining as Heath Harrison got around him. That was just enough to knock Gordon off the overall podium via a tiebreaker as he scored 12 points during the weekend. Gordon's poor showing in Moto 3 was counterbalanced by the consistency of Diesel Thomas' 3-5-4. Finishing second, Kade Johnson improved in every moto. He was fourth in Moto 1, third in Moto 2, and second in Moto 3. With a score of nine points during the weekend, he easily outdistanced the battle for the final spot on the overall podium. Landen Gibson rebounded from a poor showing of 11th in Moto 2 to take the final spot on the race podium. After challenging for it all week, fifth-place Cole Forbes earned his first Top-5 of the National. He was sixth in Moto 1 and eighth in Moto 2. Five spots further back, Jonathan Getz was in a similar situation. After finishing 11th in Moto 1 and 12th in Moto 2, he finally scored an elusive Top-10 in 10th.
