Paris Jackson and her fiance, musician Justin 'Blue' Long, have split. Taking to social media on Thursday, July 31, Jackson, 27, confirmed the couple have called it quits via X while responding to a story posted by the Daily Mail. The Daily Mail's article link featured photos of Jackson looking upset, with the story linking the photos to the 16th anniversary of the death of her father, Michael Jackson. Jackson clarified she was actually upset due to her split from Long. She wrote, 'Those are breakup tears. y'all are fkn reaching again.' Paris Jackson and Fiance Justin Long's Relationship Timeline: From Music Collaborators to Partners Us Weekly has reached out to Jackson's representatives for comment. The pair, who are rumored to have first gotten together around June 2022, announced their engagement in December 2024. 'Happy birthday, my sweet blue,' Paris wrote via Instagram post at the time, confirming Long had popped the question. 'Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and I couldn't dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with.' She added, 'Thank you for letting me be yours. The Instagram post appears to have since been deleted. Speaking to Access Hollywood last month, Jackson said she and Long were in the midst of organizing their nuptials. ‘The View' faces mockery for booking 102 left-leaning guests and zero conservatives in 2025
ABC's "The View" came under fire as a partisan echo chamber after a study revealed the show had featured 102 left-leaning guests and zero conservatives so far in 2025. "It's an insane asylum now," Fox News contributor Guy Benson told "Fox & Friends." The Fox News Radio host dug into the notoriously anti-Trump show that was the subject of a study from Media Research Center's NewsBusters. The group analyzed every episode from January 6, when the program returned from a winter hiatus, through July 25, and found that it failed to book a single conservative guest to discuss politics. "I am actually surprised by this because 102 seems a little low," Benson quipped. "What's interesting [is]… the left talked for years about bringing back the fairness doctrine. This was an obsession of theirs to try to clamp down on the success of [conservative] talk radio. If they had succeeded and had gotten the fairness doctrine, 'The View' would be out of business for that reason alone. That would be basically illegal." The guest list included not only Democratic lawmakers but also liberal Hollywood stars. NewsBusters associate editor Nicholas Fondacaro previously told Fox News Digital that the closest to a conservative guest on "The View" this year was former California Republican Governor and self-proclaimed Harris 2024 voter Arnold Schwarzenegger, who appeared on the show last month. The co-hosts of "Fox & Friends" also weighed in, Thursday, unsurprised by the finding. "So 'The View' only has one view?" posited Ainsley Earhardt. Brian Kilmeade chimed in by calling it the "least surprising stat ever." "They used to be somewhat balanced," he said. "Barbara Walters started this to get some political points of view – no script – and just get a conversation going and let us know what women talk about when they're together. Then what happened? It ends up being an angry Democratic show." Lawrence Jones accused the show's co-hosts of being hostile toward right-leaning guests they have invited in the past. "When there is a conservative there, or even one of the co-panels, because there's always the one [right-leaning panelist] that they have… They're so nasty to the people of opposing views there," he said. "They say that they have a couple of independents there, but they find a way to always agree with the Democrats. It's not that Republicans don't want to come on the show, but when you go there, you've seen plenty of times where Whoopi Goldberg will walk off the set when someone of a opposing view joins the show." "The View" did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's prior request for comment on the study. An ABC News insider, who said network bookers have met with Senate press secretaries from both sides of the aisle, pushed back on an earlier version of the study from April, which found that the ABC News program booked 63 liberal guests and zero conservatives. "This study seems to ascribe political leanings to guests even when politics were not discussed. Celebrity guests are not booked because of their political leanings; they are booked on the show to promote their projects," the insider told Fox News Digital in April.

Wilson Bethel Didn't Know ‘Full Extent' of His ‘Untamed' Character Before Finale Reveal: ‘Huge Payoff'
Wilson Bethel's character on Untamed plays a huge role in the show's big mystery —but even he didn't know about the big twist when joining the project. 'When I first started auditioning for the character, I didn't know the full extent of his motivations and what was guiding him,' Bethel explained to Us Weekly about his new Netflix show, which premiered Thursday, July 17. 'In that stage where I'm initially putting together the character and figuring out who he is, I'm making some educated guesses that weren't entirely accurate.' Bethel noted that he enjoyed the mystery surrounding the role. 'One of the things that I think is fascinating about this show in general is how deftly they tease out the information to really keep it obviously twisty and in line with what this kind of genre of show should be,' he said. 'But they do it in a really graceful and interesting way." How the New Slate of Western TV Shows Differ From Each Other: '1923,' 'Ransom Canyon' and More While reflecting on the limited series, Bethel teased how it 'really culminates' with the big reveal, adding, 'It's a huge payoff as a viewer. It's a huge payoff in character terms. We've been getting these really interesting dynamic performances from all these different actors in the show. Suddenly that one little twitch that one character did in this previous episode or that one look that was shared by another character [becomes], 'Oh, that's what that meant.'' He continued: 'If you go back and watch it a second time, what a cool thing to be part of one of those shows that potentially rewards rewatching certain moments. You can see those things with different eyes on that second watch.' Untamed, which also stars Eric Bana, Sam Neill, Lily Santiago and Rosemarie DeWitt, is set in Yosemite National Park where a woman's death draws a federal agent into lawless terrain, where nature obeys no rules but its own. 'One of the amazing things about doing a show on location, it just deepens the value of everything in the show,' Bethel shared. 'Shows [usually] shoot on windowless soundstages in very safe places because you can control everything. But when a production is willing to take the risk of confronting some of those challenges — whether they be weather or insects or bears — there are benefits of really setting a show in a place and especially a place that is so beautiful and so wild.' Throughout the season, Kyle (Bana) investigates a death that leads him to secrets he didn't know existed in Yosemite. All signs pointed at Bethel's character, Shane, being at fault after he previously helped Kyle's now-ex-wife Jill (DeWitt) by killing the man who murdered their son. Shane ultimately dies in a shootout with Kyle, but it isn't until the finale that Kyle realizes his coworker Paul (Neill) was the one responsible for the woman's death. Though Shane wasn't at fault, Bethel doesn't think his innocence will change how the audience sees his character. Summer TV Preview 2025: Inside Must-Watch New and Returning Shows From 'The Bear' to 'Love Island USA' 'One of the things that I think I love about this character is that I don't think he would give a s*** if he felt like he was misunderstood or not. He completely inhabits his own moral universe, and I really truly don't think he gives a f*** what other people think about him,' he quipped. 'That's pretty cool. I am not sure that I played that kind of character before who lives in the world in that way.' In fact, Bethel isn't sure Shane has any regrets about the last moments of his life. 'I don't think it's a matter of being misunderstood. He was going to kill Kyle because that's what he had to do because things had gone pear-shaped and that's the way the cards fell, and then he got killed instead,' he continued. 'There are other aspects as morally questionable or as weird as this Shane McGuire character is on Untamed. There are other aspects of this character that made a lot of sense to me too.' Bethel concluded: 'Obviously any role requires you to do a lot of thinking about where this character is coming from. But it wasn't some crazy reach to me because I did feel like I knew who this guy was from some combination of things that live inside me and just observations about the world. Additionally, as it happens, I also am a lifelong backpacker and I love the idea of being deeply immersed in nature, and having that be a fundamental part of your life is not scary or weird to me at all. That's something I totally understand.' Untamed is now streaming on Netflix. Solve the daily Crossword
