Rihanna shows up pregnant with baby No. 3 ahead of 2025 Met Gala

Chicago Tribune06-05-2025
One of the biggest surprises on the day 2025 Met Gala is Rihanna's protruding belly.
The pop star and billionaire mogul, known for her showstopping grand finale red carpet entrances for fashion's biggest night, appeared to with child in paparazzi photos and videos captured ahead of the glitzy fundraiser for Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute.
Last week, she fueled speculation of being pregnant baby no. 3 when she showed off her plentiful figure in snapshots of her laying in bed with with Savage Fenty lingerie.
A video of her standing in a hallway circulated on social media minutes before the 'Umbrella' singer was captured by paparazzi covering her baby bump with a a brown fur stole as she was escorted to a vehicle on Monday afternoon — presumably enroute to The Met.
Rihanna's famous babies' daddy, A$AP Rocky, served as one of the co-chairs for the event this year.
The couple have been in a relationship for over five years and wasted no time building their clan. Their first son, RZA, was born on May 12, 2022.
In August 2023, the couple welcomed her second child, a boy named Riot Rose after the singer revealed her pregnancy during her Super Bowl halftime show performance.

Metallica wants to rock the Super Bowl — and maybe the Las Vegas Sphere too

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich says the band is open to headlining two of the biggest stages in entertainment: the Super Bowl halftime show and the high-tech Las Vegas Sphere. Speaking with Howard Stern on SiriusXM on Wednesday, Aug. 6, Ulrich acknowledged rumors that the metal legends could stage a residency at the Sphere, following in the footsteps of U2 and Dead & Company. While he stopped short of confirming plans, Ulrich made clear his enthusiasm. 'I'm not going to confirm anything, because there's nothing to confirm,' the drummer for the Bay Area hard rock band said. 'But I'm not going to deny it, because we're all such fans of this venue. It's something that we're considering — nothing is etched in stone or green-lit.' Ulrich was among the audience for U2's opening night at the Sphere and described the experience as transformative. 'I was completely blown away, and felt that was the beginning of another chapter in live performances,' he said. 'It's not signed, sealed and delivered, but speaking to me and asking my opinion, I would f—king love to do it.' Ulrich also voiced a strong interest in playing the Super Bowl halftime show — especially since the 2026 game will take place near Metallica's hometown of San Francisco at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, where it headlined two shows in June. 'F—k yeah, of course we would,' he told Stern. 'First of all, we would do it. Second of all, to do it in San Francisco would be a dream come true and would be the right fit. …Certainly, as somebody who's represented San Francisco all over the world and shouted for decades about San Francisco and our love for the Bay Area, that part of it is the right fit. Ultimately, it's not our decision.' The band is currently gearing up for an intimate performance at the 250-capacity Stephen Talkhouse in Long Island on Aug. 28 to launch its new SiriusXM channel, Maximum Metallica. The channel debuts Aug. 29 and will feature deep cuts, live shows, interviews and rarities — all curated by the band.

Here's Why Alex Cooper and Alix Earle Are Feuding

For the past six months, the internet has been convinced that podcast girlies Alex Cooper and Alix Earle are beefing—and now, Alix basically just confirmed as much. Quick background: Alix Earle's Hot Mess podcast—which launched in September 2023 as a 'weekly recap of her life revealing all the in-depth, exclusive details that has everyone watching, talking, and wanting more'—was dropped by Alex Cooper's Unwell Network back in February. The move came amid fans noticing that Alix skipped Unwell's Super Bowl being in New Orleans. At the time, multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that Alex and Alix were 'at odds,' with one insider telling the outlet that "there's a lot of tension." Per a second insider: 'They've had a lot of drama between them [since] they decided to collaborate on Unwell. They clashed over business, and their friendship is over because of it.' The plot thickened in March, when Alex took to TikTok to dispel feud rumors, claiming Unwell Network had nothing to do with Hot Mess ending. (This was seemingly done in response to Alix's Wall Street Journal interview, where she talked about the production politics that led to the show's hiatus.) 'Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do Unwell," she wrote. '[I don't know] why she can't/what's going on.' She added that 'Unwell gave [Alix] everything back' and that Alix 'owns her IP.' The latest: On August 1, Alix posted a TikTok, where she alluded to wanting to 'start some shit.' She added, 'Lowkey, is this my time that I've been waiting for? I have so much information.' A fan then slid into her comments to write, 'Yes tell us what happened with Alex Cooper,' to which Alix replied, 'How much time do you have?' Alex has yet to respond to this latest shade, but I'm sat and ready for when it happens!
