Filming for new Samuel L Jackson and Glen Powell movie set for Glasgow
The set will take over part of the city, and major roads will be closed while the new flick is being shot.
The Glasgow Times reported that this is for the new JJ Abrams film Ghostwriter, which will see Jackson join an all-star cast.
Glen Powell, Jenna Ortega and Emma Mackey are all rumoured to be involved in the movie.
Reports say that filming will concentrate on and inside Glasgow City Chambers and the surrounding area for the "1980s-inspired film".
The film is rumoured to follow a fantasy author who reveals that the mythical world he created is real, blending retro sci-fi, mystery, and fantasy.
Some roads have been closed since Sunday, June 8, as they prepare to start filming, and some will be closed until June 23.

The closures are being implemented by Glasgow City Council to "ensure the safety of pedestrians and road users during filming".
It is understood that Abrams was in Glasgow a few months ago to scout potential locations for the movie.
Reports suggest it will be a fantasy film inspired by the 1984 movie The Last Starfighter, a space opera about a video game player recruited to fight an interstellar war against aliens.
Powell was in Glasgow last year filming for The Running Man, directed by Edgar Wright, who's known for films including Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim vs the World.

Glasgow's People's Palace launches pop-up exhibitions
Glasgow's People's Palace, a museum dedicated to the city's social history, is currently undergoing a multi-million pound renovation funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund and Glasgow City Council. To mark the city's 850th anniversary and keep its stories accessible during the closure, two curated pop-up displays are touring venues across Glasgow. The first display, Capturing the Moment: Glasgow then and now, launches at the Burrell Collection on Friday, June 13, and runs until Thursday, June 26, before visiting more than 20 venues citywide and ending at Parkhead Library on Sunday, December 21. Read more: No trains to run on part of major Glasgow railway line this weekend The exhibition features photographs by amateur photographer Eric Watt, who documented life in Glasgow from the 1950s to the 1990s. It was developed in collaboration with pupils from Shawlands Academy, who selected images, wrote captions, and contributed their own contemporary photographs of Glasgow with guidance from photographer Robin Mitchell. More info A Hollywood actor was snapped in Edinburgh's city centre on Thursday leaving fans starstruck. Throughout the week, various actors have been seen across the city as filming got underway for sci-film Ghostwriter which is set for release in 2026. Twisters star Glen Powell has left many tourists and locals in shock as he's been seen in the capital several times filming scenes for the movie. A clip shared online on Thursday, shows Powell in a white t-shirt as he prepares for a scene to unfold. His stunt double was also in the shot. The caption of the video reads: "Glen Powell be looking fine in Edinburgh in his next film." We previously reported the Top Gun Maverick actor was clocked at Candlemarker Row and Grassmarket throughout the course of this week. The movie is set to feature Wednesday star Jenny Ortega, Sex Education's Emma Mackey and Pulp Fiction actor Samuel L. Jackson. Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Pam who was lucky enough to spot the star while she was in Edinburgh for a trip, said: "When we travelled to Edinburgh we didn't expect to see a part of Hollywood. We were excited to see the beautiful cobblestone streets in the city and just stumbled across the set. "We returned the next day to enjoy walking the same street, and we look forward to seeing it someday on film and knowing we were there." While the plot is a tightly kept secret, The Hot Mic has suggested the film is an '80s throwback film and follows the author of a series of novels who reveals that the mythical world he's known for creating is in fact real.
