Kia Joorabchian removes several horses including ‘spectacular' £4.6million Frankel filly from Ralph Beckett yard

KIA JOORABCHIAN has moved several horses away from Ralph Beckett — including the unraced £4.6million Frankel filly named Partying.
The AMO Racing chief has shipped a number of his string from Kimpton Down Stables to Freemason Lodge where his new trainer Kevin Philippart De Foy has recently moved.

Joorabchian has left former Irish Oaks heroine You Got To Me with Beckett for now but has moved on the majority of his horses previously with the Arc-winning handler.
De Foy sent out his first runners since his switch to Freemason at Leicester on Wednesday and has also recently received Ghostwriter, who was with Clive Cox.
The £2m purchase was red-hot favourite for the Princess Of Wales's Stakes at the Newmarket July meeting earlier this month.
But had to be withdrawn after rearing over when being saddled ahead of the 1m4f Group 2 won by Charlie Appleby's El Cordobes.
The Belgian trainer recently issued an update on the four-year-old colt, saying: "Everything is fine with Ghostwriter and hopefully he'll be back soon."
But it is Partying who is real headline-grabber.
She was the most expensive yearling sold in the northern hemisphere last year and is out of the Royal Ascot-winning Shamardal mare Aljazzi.
Joorabchian's right-hand man Alex Elliott helped strike the decisive blow at the Tattersalls Book 1 sale last October.

And he said at the time: "She's a Frankel filly with that kind of physique from that kind of family.
"We've seen Ylang Ylang from the same farm on the same Shamardal cross – we just need history to repeat itself!
"I keep saying to people horses will pay you back.
"It was a good bit more than we thought we'd have to pay but when Kia and his partners decided that they wanted the filly, they wanted the filly.
"She is a spectacular filly, it is a spectacular price, and there's a spectacular bunch of horses here.
"I'd like to say I was a cool customer when all that was taking place, but that would be a fib – I have never been in that rarified atmosphere before."
De Foy moved to the now-retired Sir Michael Stoute's former base recently after
Speaking of his decision to take on the trainer, who he called a 'perfect fit', football superagent Joorabchian said: "Kevin is a fantastic horseman who understands our goals and shares our ambition.
"Having known and worked with him for several years, it makes this transition even smoother.
"We know his character fits and our ideas align perfectly.
"We believe he's the right person to take the operation to the next level, and we're excited about what's ahead with him leading the team at this historic yard."
While De Foy added: "I am deeply honoured to have been entrusted with the responsibility of taking over at Freemason Lodge and training such an exciting string of horses for Amo Racing.
"This is a major milestone in my career, and I'm incredibly grateful to Kia and the team for the opportunity.
"Amo Racing's investment and ambition in the sport are truly inspiring, and I look forward to playing my part in what I hope will be a very successful journey together."

George Lucas brings the force to Comic-Con in historic first visit

Comic-Con fans pulled out their lightsabers Sunday to welcome Star Wars creator George Lucas to the prominent pop culture convention for the very first time. Attendees lined up for hours to grab a seat inside the 6,500-person capacity venue in San Diego, California to see the legendary filmmaker behind the Indiana Jones franchise speak at the event on its final day. Comic-Con, which draws some 130,000 attendees, has become an important platform for movie studios and their stars to showcase the latest film and television offerings, especially those with a genre fan base. "We've been waiting five decades for this!" said panel moderator Queen Latifah, who oversaw the discussion by Lucas and other filmmakers. Instead of discussing his film works, however, Lucas graced the convention to preview the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art - opening in Los Angeles in 2026 - which the director co-founded with his wife, businesswoman Mellody Hobson. "I've been collecting art since I was in college," Lucas, 81, told the crowd, adding that he has amassed tens of thousands of pieces in his collection. "I've been doing this for 50 years now, and then it occurred to me that what am I going to do with it all because I, I refuse to sell it. "I could never do that, it's just, it's not what I think art is - I think it's more about an emotional connection," the director said. In his description of the museum, Lucas said the institution will feature a blend of works. They include illustrations by Normal Rockwell, Jessie Willcox Smith and N.C. Wyeth; artworks by Frida Kahlo, Jacob Lawrence, Charles White and Robert Colescott; and pieces by cartoonists and artists like Winsor McCay, Frank Frazetta and Jack Kirby. "This is sort of a temple to the people's art," he said in summation. The museum, housed in a sleek, curved building, will also feature items from Lucas's films and other exclusive pieces. For the Star Wars mastermind, the museum aims to be a tribute to the importance of narrative art. "When you're born, the baseline is fear. And as you go through life, you're curious about things, but you're especially curious about things you don't understand, and therefore that's a threat to you. "And as a result, you make up stories to make it feel good," he continued. "Science fiction is a myth... but we've made it real because of science fiction books and art." Among the other members of the panel were Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro and production designer Doug Chiang, who shaped the aesthetic of the Star Wars universe for decades. "What's remarkable about George is that he leads from the heart, and this museum is him," Chiang said. Del Toro, who will release his latest film Frankenstein in November, said many of the museum's pieces will celebrate freedom of speech. "We are in a critical moment in which one of the things they like to disappear is the past, you know, and this is memorializing a popular, vociferous, expressive and eloquent moment in our visual past that belongs to all of us," Del Toro said. The fantasy filmmaker also described comics as a medium with "a lot of social conscience" and joked that comic artists "were the first one to punch a Nazi" in their works. "What a panel!" said attendee Jesse Goldwater, who traveled to San Diego from Los Angeles. "They are the embodiment of Comic-Con itself, without them Comic-Con wouldn't exist."

Gwyneth Paltrow breaks silence after Coldplay scandal as she's 'hired' by firm

Gwyneth Paltrow, the Academy Award-winning star and former spouse of Coldplay's Chris Martin, surprised fans with a cheeky cameo on Astronomer's LinkedIn page this week. She stepped in as the company's "temporary spokesperson" following a viral workplace scandal that saw its ex-CEO step down. The video emerged amid intense public scrutiny after the former Astronomer CEO and the Head of HR resigned in the wake of being spotted on the kiss-cam at a Coldplay concert in Boston on July 16. Their reaction became a talking point when Chris Martin, Paltrow's ex-husband, quipped during the show that they were either "having an affair or just shy". Following the incident and subsequent uproar, both individuals vacated their roles amid claims that the episode exposed underlying issues at the tech company. They have yet to make any public statements or respond to our enquiries for comment. In what appears to be a light-hearted response to the drama, Astronomer posted a video featuring Paltrow posing as a corporate representative, according to Mirror US. The now infamous image from the concert of the pair. Gwyneth Paltrow Opening the video, she says, "Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow," donning a smart blue button-down shirt, reports the Mirror. Paltrow humorously claims, "I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer. Astronomers have received a lot of questions in the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones. "Yes! Astronomer is the best place to run Apache Airflow," she enthusiastically replied when asked. "We've been thrilled that so many people have a newfound interest in data workflow automation. As for the other questions we've received. Yes, there is still room available at our Beyond Analytics event in September. "We will now be returning to what we do best, delivering game-changing results for our customers. Thank you for your interest in Astronomer." The cheeky video certainly stirred up some banter in the comments section. "Thanks, but I still don't know what Astronomer or TechChoice do," one user quipped. Another added their two cents with, "And an Astronomer shows how it can see beyond a sky full of stars! Cold! Well played! !". "Clever way to reach the right audience, unexpected but memorable. Though I have to say, the question and answer felt like they were on different airflows entirely. Unless that was the point... to show how things that drift off still find their way back?" another joined the conversation.
