Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness finalise divorce

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have officially divorced, after nearly three decades of marriage, with court records showing the case was finalised this week.
People magazine reported overnight that online court records from New York's Suffolk County Supreme Court show that a judgment of divorce was filed on June 12. The case status is now listed as 'Disposed'.
Furness, 69, filed for divorce from Jackman, 56, on May 27, with the filing showing terms of the divorce were uncontested and would only need a sign-off from a judge.
The pair initially announced their separation in September 2023 after a relationship spanning 27 years, beginning when they met while starring in the 1990s ABC drama Correlli.
In the statement, they said their 'journey now is shifting' and they had 'decided to separate to pursue our individual growth'.

While Jackman has made no public comment since, Furness issued an emotional public statement in May amid rumours of Jackman's involvement with fellow actor Sutton Foster, with whom he starred in The Music Man on Broadway in 2022.
Neither has commented publicly about the rumours of their relationship, but the pair has been photographed in public holding hands and kissing over the past six months.
'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' Furness said in a statement in May, when she spoke publicly for the first time.

Andrea Bocelli's son Matteo will sing at Jeff Bezos' star studded wedding

Andrea Bocelli's son Matteo will perform at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding. The 27-year-old star has followed his iconic tenor father's footsteps and launched his own career as a singer, and he'll be entertaining guests at the Amazon founder's marriage ceremony in Venice, Italy. A source told PEOPLE magazine that Matteo will be at the star-studded event to perform on the day. Meanwhile, Matteo will be releasing his new album Falling In Love on September 12, and hitting the road for a world tour later this year. Bezos and Sanchez's three-day nuptials are set to be attended by A-listers including reality star Kim Kardashian, talk show host Gayle King and Microsoft boss Bill Gates. The wedding was reportedly forced to move locations within Venice after protestors threatened to prevent guests from arriving by blocking the Italian city's canals with inflatable crocodiles. Instead, the bash has been switched to a more secure location after various groups joined forces under the 'No Space for Bezos' banner to protest against the lavish ceremony that they claim epitomises how Venice has lost its soul to tourism. Protestor Tommaso Cacciari is quoted by The Times newspaper as saying: "Bezos is on the run – this is a crazy victory for a small group of people with no money who went up against one of the richest men on the planet." Matteo's performance at the nuptials comes after his famous dad Andrea previously sang at Kim and Kourtney Kardashian's respective weddings to Kanye West and Travis Barker. He previously admitted he got "big satisfaction" from being asked to be part of such special days for everyone involved. He told US TV show Extra: "If they choose your voice for their wedding, it's a beautiful thing. I think it's a big satisfaction for me." After the siblings rowed over their decision to have similar singers for their big days, Andrea himself quipped that he was "flattered" to be so "loved" by the sisters as he gave his son a shoutout. In a post on Instagram, he wrote: "Dear @kimkardashian and @kourtneykardash. I'm so flattered that you both love my voice and I'll always be happy to sing for you. "But know that there's a younger and far more helpful artist @matteobocelli who your mother @krisjenner also knows very well."

Hugh Jackman ‘not looking back' now his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness has been finalised

It's claimed Hugh Jackman is 'not looking back' now his divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness has been finalised. The actor, 56, and his ex, 69, have finalised their divorce nearly two years after they announced their separation, according to court documents. New York's Suffolk County Supreme Court online records show that a judgment of divorce was filed June 12, according to People, but only just made public knowledge. The divorce settlement was handled behind closed doors, with Furness reportedly 'pleased with' the financial terms of their split. 'There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved,' a source told Daily Mail. 'Both are coming out of this financially secure. These is not going to be any drama with this – it gives that closure that she needed.' Another source added that Jackman is 'looking forward to the future and not looking back'. With their split now official, it's claimed that close friends of Furness are keen for her to get back out and start dating again. However, an insider has revealed that dating 'is just not for her' at the moment. 'For decades, Deborra-Lee was certain that she had found her lifelong companion,' the source said, adding that she 'never thought in a million years that she would be here, at this stage in her life, single.' 'She knows what she brings to the table,' the source added. 'Once the dust settles on this divorce, she will be open to dating again.' The news of their divorce being finalised comes months after the exes — who share two adopted kids: son Oscar, 25, and daughter Ava, 19 — were reportedly struggling to see eye-to-eye on how to divide their $US250 million fortune. In March, an insider told the Daily Mail that Furness, 69, was holding up their divorce as she felt 'entitled to more money than' Jackman, 56, was offering at the time. The two announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. 'We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,' the former couple said in a joint statement at the time. 'Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.' At the time of the announcement, a source told Page Six the split had been a long time coming and that those close to the couple were already aware of the break-up.
